Hae Ha Heng Thai Bistro

I came across to this restaurant while using
app and ordered my lunch few times recently. Ordering was easy and fast thru the app and the food was already ready when i got there. Their parking lot seems small for the number stores in that plaza but i was there around noon so i did not have any problems finding a spot. I tried their egg rolls, pad thai, pad see ew, and drunken noodle. My favorite dish was drunken noodle. I am not sure this is their signature dish or typical thai menu like pad thai or pad see ew but it had a great amount of spice and its flavor was unique. Their pad thai and Pad see ew are average (i had better ones before) and wish the egg roll sauce was bit less sweet. But in overall, great place to grab a quick and affordable lunch!

Great Thai restaurant in the heart of Koreatown. Free thai tea with Unilocal check-​in. Dishes were flavorful but not too overpowering (like some other cheap Thai places). Free parking (I went there for lunch on a weekend). Definitely coming back!

Best Thai food that i’ve eaten yet!
Pros: The taste! Hands down better than any other place that i’ve been to and I’m pretty picky about my Thai food places. Plenty of choices to choose from (Has all the usual Thai food choices and etc). Service is good. They check on you fairly often and I didn’t have to ask for more water even though it was pretty full the last time I came. The waitress that served us the first time we went was easy on the eyes, but what was most surprising was her age. She looked way younger lol. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. I haven’t had trouble parking, but you’ll have to pay $ 2 for valet which isn’t too bad especially if you go with other people. If you’re just picking up then there’s 15 min parking out front. Nice décor. Plenty of seating and that’s really about it. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would eat again lol.
Cons: $ 2 for valet. Some of the curry is a bit too spicy for me even on the default spicy option. I like spicy food to an extent, but I couldn’t finish it there and had to take it to go because of that.
Bottom line: I’ve tried out a few of the curries, pad thai, and pad see ew. All of which were typical Thai dishes, but went above and beyond my expectations. Didn’t think that there would be any decent Thai places around my apartment here, but I was so wrong lol. Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area and you’re craving some Thai food.

Definitely 1 of my top 3 Thai restaurants I have ever been to. Service, food, happy hour, drinks, atmosphere, outside patio… 5 stars. You get authentic Thai food in a hipster kind of environment.
My friends and I had the tom yum soup, red curry, pad see ew, spicy beef salad, and the garlic salmon which was surprisingly amazing! All other dishes tasted great and had true Thai flavors.
They have awesome happy drink deals
Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area! I live 35 mins away but would definitely make the drive!

I live in Ktown and always wanted to try this place. After 2 years of meaning to come here, i finally came and regret that i didnt come earlier! The food is good especially the pad sea u (?). The interior is cute and CLEAN and the service is excellent:) will def come back!

Totally cool. Nicely decorated. Great food. Affordable and fantastic service.
Pros: –the food is delicious and it’s really worth the price (and it’s a lot of food too).
–Our waitress was really sweet, fast and efficient.
–the decoration of this restaurant is really cool and unique. I love the car/​van used as a bar table.
–the outdoor terrace is really nice and well lit at night.
Cons: –Small interior, and when you go to the bathroom you have to awkwardly squeeze between a table at the corner where the bathrooms are.
–The yellow curry doesn’t come with rice. They make you pay 2 $ for just a bowl of rice. Total ripoff
Overall it was a great experience. And will be coming back again.

Their house sake is bit lesser quality from most I have tried but not terrible, the free Thai tea for checking in came in very fast though. Great deal!
I like their choice of ambience music, perfect to eat to. I ordered the count soup and flat noodle seafood; both plenty of and delicious to taste.
I guess I’m also getting a free dessert for this review so Hurrah! For the free food!!!

Came here on a date with my wife with nothing to go off of but the Unilocal reviews, and they didn’t disappoint
1.) The location is great (Right down the street from the Wiltern and around the corner from Immanuel Presbyterian where our music was playing later)
2.) Inside décor was classy and unique. We were met by a refurbished half of a Volkswagen bus that was being used as a bar.
3.) Staff was friendly, welcoming, and responsive.
4.) Our food was delicious! My wife got Panang Curry with Tofu and I got Pad See Ewe with Tofu. My noodles were soft, sweet, and flavorful and the broccoli was fresh and crisp, and a beautiful deep green. My wife’s curry was beautiful and just as flavorful with a slight kick.
5.) We made it during happy hour so my wife got a Thai mojito, which she loved.
6.) Prices were standard– about $ 9 per entrée, but definitely a better deal considering the quality of the food and the environment.
We don’t come out to downtown often but we’ll back.

i recommend the pad thai noodle and roti.

I found this place on Unilocal and thought I’d give it a try. Glad I did. This place is awesome. The food was delicious and the place was very welcoming. The ambience and service was great. Our waitress was very helpful with helping us order and her choices were delish. Plenty of parking in the underground area. Surely going back here again
Happy Hour is a great deal. You get to sample everything and are able to zero in on what you like most. Still lovin this place

Great atmosphere & most of all, delicious thai food in the heart of koreatown. Parking is convenient as well & service was amazing! Will definitely be coming here for my thai cravings.

My boyfriend and I came around 4. The place was quite empty but I loved it. The waitress came around to refill our waters constantly, asked us if we needed anything else. We came during the Happy Hour so we got 5 little appetizer dished for $ 5. Also the Pad Thai, Thai BBQ Pork, and french fries. The Pad Thai was very traditional; Thai BBQ pork was the most tender pork I ever had. I didn’t have much expectation for the fries but they were amazing as well.

I have eaten delivery from here several times and it’s always good. today they decided they no longer deliver here and let me wait to hear from grubhub 30 minutes later that it wouldn’t b coming. a call to the restaurant and no apologies made. good luck ordering from here! hopefully they’ll be in the mood to bring it to you

Ordered through eat24. HORRIBLE SERVICE! It took over an hr for my food to arrive. The driver went to the wrong address and kept calling me, telling me he was outside. Yhen he FORCED me to tip him before he gave me my food. Wtf?!
When I finally got to sit down to eat my food, another disappointment; food was warm, at most. The rice side was sooo tiny. I spent over $ 40 on food that was bland, barely warm and the smallest portions I have ever seen.
AVOID at all costs.
Too expensive for the quality of food and service.

Came here for a dinner gathering with friends, and the place is a hidden gem. It is on the second floor, and it has its own patio seating! I’d suggest to call in ahead to make reservation because this place is busy at dinner time.
Saw a sign on the table for Happy Hour, and it is from 3PM-​7PM everyday!
Parking: there’s only valet parking underground and 15 minutes parking above ground
Food: we ordered the seafood soup (spicy option), drunk noodle with beef choice (spicy option), and Thai fried rice with chicken. The seafood soup is spicy but it is a heat type of spicy where the spiciness does not overcome your tastebuds where they’re burned and you can’t taste the food, it is a heat spice that it is just enough to taste the the soup and still be able to enjoy it. The drunken noodle and fried rice are cooked and seasoned well that they are simply perfect in taste, that it does not require any salt or pepper.
Service: it is a little tough to get the server attention when it is busy on a Friday night. We had to flag down our server twice for a drink, but they are happy to assist when they see you.
Definitely will come back for Happy Hour!!!

Pretty straightforward — this is some darn good Thai food. Love the staple Thai dishes they have there (e.g., pad thai, pad see ew, etc.), but oddly enough, I’m a huge fan of their pineapple fried rice. I almost never mix sweet and savory, but this dish definitely calls for an exception.
I ordered using the RushOrder mobile app, and the food seemed it like it was still hot off the press. Absolutely planning on ordering for Hae Ha Heng again in the near future.

Dog friendly outdoor patio with heaters. This was my exact search for a dinner location and this place hit the spot. They have a small free parking lot that was full but I parked in Western free (after 6). The patio is really nice and they offer blankets in addition to the heaters. They have a check in offer for a Thai tea. I enjoyed the spring rolls and the green curry wasn’t too spicy. The service is friendly and attentive even with the dinner rush.

Ordered delivery tonight and I must say I was very disappointed. Delivery took over an hour, which I was trying to over look. I get it, restaurants get busy. Ordered Crab Cream Cheese Wontons which came cold. I was even willing to overlook that, but when my Red Curry Chicken dish came with NO RICE that really bummed me out. Now I’m scrambling in my kitchen looking to see if I have any sort of rice to boil so I have something to eat my Red Chicken Curry with. I requested bamboo in my curry dish and I see the charged me an extra dollar. That was a nice touch to finish this evening. I’d be ok with the extra dollar charge had my dish come with the bare necessities (rice in this case). I guess I should have listened to the other Unilocal reviews regarding poor ratings on delivery.

What to do when you find yourself in Korea Town with no appetite for Korean food? Find the nearest Thai food joint of course. No but seriously, even if you don’t default to Thai food like me, you need to give this place a try.
The restaurant itself doesn’t scream authenticity, but I’d be lying if the flavor wasn’t there. We got here during the 3 – 7 PM happy hour, which, if I might add, entails an awesome drink menu. $ 4 for craft beer? Yes please; the blueberry ale should definitely be on your to-​try list. But on to the food!
I love papaya salad and the papaya salad here didn’t disappoint. Not as spicy as most other places, but everything is fresh and well dressed with fish sauce and lime juice.
The pad thai was a little bland, but I can’t hate on it too much because I always end up dousing my phad thai in sambal anywhere I go. It has enough flavor to stand on its own and the noodles were cooked very well which is probably the most important thing to take into consideration.
We ordered the following happy hour appetizers: beef satay, 3 flavor chicken wings, and the taco kapaw. To keep it brief, the beef satay was decent; the peanut sauce really carried that dish. The 3 flavor chicken wings were freaking amazing! Pretty big chicken wings/​drumsticks fried slightly crispy and tossed in an amazing sweet, citrusy sauce. The taco kapaw was… okay. If you’ve ever ordered mushu, same concept; pretty much they put the drunken noodles into a tortilla and plate it.
Overall, a very well-​priced and tasty meal. Service was very friendly and ordering drinks/​food was a breeze. Would definitely come here again for both dinner/​happy hour.

I came here because I wanted the papaya salad. It was so good! The flavor was exactly what I was craving.
I also ordered the tom yam soup which was pretty big for one serving and also really good. It comes with a lot of mushroom and meat and a lot of soup. I am more of a soupy person so I like the portion. I also got the summer roll appetizer that was good. I liked dipping it into my papaya salad dressing.
The service was quick and the food came out quick. You get free Thai tea when you check in and a free waffle dessert if you write a review!
Also there is a garage parking lot so there is no problem finding parking. We came at 7pm in Sunday and there was no wait!

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night with my friends. I love the parking here; they have an underground lot with plenty of parking. No need to pay or do valet. This restaurant is located on the second floor.
They have very cheap happy hour (everyday 3−7pm) ranging from $ 1-​$ 5 for food & $ 10 for a pitcher of beer/​$ 20 for beer tower. They also have soju, martini’s and wine as well.
My whole party ordered a bunch of stuff, but I’m just going to review on the foods that I tried myself.
Pad Thai: I honestly feel like all Thai restaurants have the SAME taste when it comes to pad thai and pad see ew. So yeah, their pad Thai wasn’t anything special.
Tom yum soup: SOOOO SOUR! Hated it! It didn’t have any heat to it, it was just sour. No Bueno
Garlic spinach: didn’t have too much garlic flavor which is good. Pretty flavorful, but weird that you would have this just as an entrée without any rice. I don’t know anyone who can just eat spinach by itself.
Drunken noodles: this had a lot of flavor to it and was already a little bit spicy. I actually liked it more than the pad Thai.
Crying tiger: I didn’t try this dish since its beef, but all my friends thought this dish was amazing, especially the sauce. They were like so surprised that it was delicious.
Service and food came out very slow. There weren’t even a lot of people at the restaurant eating, probably only like 3 tables, and they still took a long time. They do have a lot of togo orders though.
I like how the lady was nice enough to split our checks for us, that’s a big plus for me.

Found this place on our way to another Thai food restaurant. Nice cute little place with good food. Will definitely return.
