Stopped in to get some food. The people who served us were very nice. The coconut curry was outstanding. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

Great service and great food. The servers treated us like we were dining at the Taj Mahal! Butter chicken or Makhani, was melt in your mouth good. Chicken Biryani was plentiful and flavorful. Had a very good experience here, a true hidden gem!

Very good delivery service, fast and effective. Great food, but just don’t give them 5 stars because I got very disappointed with one of the dishes we ordered. Dall Tarka is described as «lentil with garlic and fresh herbs», and what I got was a lentil purée, like a soup. :( But all the rest tastes good. I’d order again to try other dishes, since they have a reasonable variety.

My favorite Indian place in the area! The food is delicious and flavorful, and the staff have always been welcoming and courteous. So far I’ve tried the chicken tikka masala, vegetable coconut curry, chicken biryani, something delicious that was vegetarian and had lentils, garlic naan, and cheese naan. Everything I’ve tried has been great. I highly recommend the cheese naan and chicken tikka masala. My boyfriend and I are happy we found this place! When you come check it out, you’ll probably see us there stuffing our faces with naan so stop by and say hello.

It took 2 hours to get my food delivered. When calling to check up on my food, the person who answered told me the food is on the way(after an hour the food was oredered). I called again 30 minutes later, he repeated the former and said it should be there soon. I understand he cant do anything is already if the food is already on the way but the attitude was not welcomed. As far as the food, it was subpar and was dissatisfied altogether.

I love this place! Admittedly the only main dish I’ve ordered is the chicken tikka masala, but it’s delicious! I’ve sampled other dishes from my girlfriend and friends and they’re tasty too. Naan is very important in my life and this place does it right: fluffy, slightly crispy, and full of goodness. Garlic and cheese naan are particular favorites. The service is friendly and fast and our server tonight even gave us complimentary gulab jamun(dessert balls). The prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality you receive. Check this place out already!

This is my absolute favorite Indian place in my area. I get their combination vegetarian dinner for two on a regular basis, and I am never disappointment. The delivery guy is always so nice, and remembers who I am! Delivery is quick, nice and hot when it arrives, and the food ends up lasting me for days. They did recently raise their prices, but honestly it seemed way too cheap before, and it now seems like a more appropriate cost for such incredibly delicious food. Really hard to go wrong with anything on their menu, but the classics never fail, Chana Masala, Saag Paneer, etc. And their Paneer Pakora? Crazy good. Just writing this review is making me hungry, I think I’ll have to order from here again, tonight! Overall, very good food, and a very good price. Highly recommended!

Garbage! Just spent $ 20 on a chicken tikka masala with rice for pickup lol chicken tikka masala is made the same way basically everywhere… so why is this one double the cost? Not even flavorful. You guys dont even have a proper register so youre sitting there punching this into a calculator and you dont even know your own prices. Look at you guys trying to play off as a nicer dine-in Indian restaurant. Chicken Tikka masala and rice is charged seperately. Thats like ordring pasta but just getting the sauce and having to buy the noodles seperately. How do you eat chicken tikka masala alone? Do you not serve a complete dish? Even the naan was charged? When I ordered through the phone I was first put on hold and when someone got back on the phone, they were talking to someone else. I assumed it was busy so I understood but I walk into an almost empty restaurant. Customer service? And the ditzy girl takes my debit card to the back when I ask for a fork and knife. Do you not know that you shouldnt walk away with someones card? Pissed. Prolly months from shutting down.

Absolute rip off! $ 42 for one order of chicken Tikka marsala, one order of saag paneer, 3 naans and no rice! When i called to inquire, they told me i ordered al a cart. It was my first time ordering and they couldnt have told me i could order a combo and get all of this cheaper and with rice? Horrible service.

Delicious food for beginners trying out Indian food. Love their chicken, well cooked. Their lamb can be a little more tender, but overall very delicious. I would have given 5 stars but their service needs to step it up. They are too slow when going to eat during lunch time when you are working. And we got there when it was empty. So need to step it up, people need to get back to meetings. Lol. But really delicious.

This restaurant dose not respect the customer, i order a delivery order at 6 pm, I got the order at almost 7, the order that i got was missing a drink, i call back the restaurant but they were so calm about it, they said next order we will send you the drink i said no i need the drink now he said it will take more than an hour(which is even more than the food delivery) I said no problem i still want it even if it gonna take 2 hours After 2 hours i call them back different guy answer i told him what happened and he knew my problem hi said«no problem we will send it to you tomorrow, because we are closed«. Many times different restaurants had the same problem but they still deliver it to me or tell me we are going to give you a free meal. I will stop dealing with this restaurant The good thing is there are couple indian restaurant so close to me(anar indian restaurant– biriyani kabob house-samosa house silver lake)

From the warm greeting when we entered, to the great conversation with Sam our server, the fresh and tasty dishes here are not only things that will bring me back. I feel like I stepped right into my Indian grandmas house(I don’t have one, but if I did…) you can taste the warmth and love that goes into the food. The Vegetable Pakora is literally the best I have had. The Saag Aloo was tender and delicious without being overly greasy. I highly recommend this place!!!

Ordered the Lamb Korma with garlic chili naan bread. I made it a meal for a few extra dollars that included the most delicious vegetable soup I’ve ever had in my life. I kid you not, the diced carrots melted in my mouth. Slurp, slurp, slurp, the bowl was gone before dinner came. Order a side a rice to go with the meal, typical it seems in LA. Split this between me and my room mate and we still have left overs. Add the fact this place has parking and sells wine and beer makes this place a new go-to for my house! Five star service the entire time. This may be my first but it sure as hell isn’t my last. As the great Arnold Schwarzenegger would say, «I’ll be back.»

I’ve had delivery and today I had the same meal rack of Lamb and Lamb samosas in restaurant and boy I tell you best service experience ever. My groupon didn’t work, but they gave me 15% off for checking in and some complimentary rice pudding. Definitely coming back plenty more times over!

Terrible, terrible, terrible place. From the beginning of placing order I had bad experience. I called 3 times to this place to place an order. The person on the phone was rude and hold me on for 15 minutes. Which I decided to order on Unilocal.I purchased Groupon for this place. When I came there and the same person that was on the phone didn’t welcome me from the entry and his face was like WTH you came here. I asked for my pick up order and said that I’ll pay with Groupon. He answered me that they don’t take groupon for the pick up and delivery food. But I didn’t see it on Groupon which I said to him. He answered me that it’s their restaurant policy and he agreed that it doesn’t say about it on Groupon. Their food might be good, I haven’t tried it, but when they show this kind of customer service, they kill their business.

The curry was good but not as good at some other places especially in England. I can’t seem to finds the right curry place in Dtla. The lam curry was pretty good but the chicken tikka masala was a bit dry. The mango lassi I didn’t like too much but they made up for it in their onion baji was pretty good.

Really love this place. The restaurant is very clean inside, which forces you to assume the food will be made with equal care and cleanliness, which it does. The food is authentic, clean, and delicious. You can taste India at its best in each of their dishes, especially the chicken Tika Masala and the Korma dishes. One of my favorite Indian restaurants.

We ordered delivery from India’s Clay Pit(via Eat24) last night and couldn’t have been more pleased. The food took 25 minutes to arrive(despite the 45 – 60 minute estimate). We ordered 2 dishes(lamb madras and chicken karahi), which both had decent amounts of meat and great flavors in the sauces. The spice level was exactly how we asked for it(one dish extra spicy and one extra extra spicy), and the naan was huge(we ordered one plain, one garlic). We will definitely order from here again the next time we want Indian food and are too lazy to cook or drive!

Best Tandoori chicken; perfectly succulent. Nice papadams. I liked the vegetable curry but wish I’d ordered it medium spicy. Huge plate of basmati rice(served very dry) waiting for sauces. Very reasonable.

Greatly improved service and quality! I took another chance with India’s Clay Pit, and I am glad I did. The food was more flavorful and got to the meeting early! Everyone enjoyed the food, and multiple people asked for the name of the restaurant. Thank you for being on time and for the better service– I greatly appreciate it.

I have eaten a Lot of Idian food growing up, seeing how part of my family is indian, and so far I think I can honestly say, these dishes are priced on the slightly more expensive side, but the food is well worth it. It’s been a mission trying to find a good Indian restuarant with real spices and home made Indian food. I think I will only be ordering from here for here on out. If you want very good, well seasoned, and fast delivery, this place is awesome! Next time I will give more of a tip as well, I was just unsure of how everything would be. We much appreciate you and your delicious food! We will def. Order again :)

Been ordering from here for about a year with delight. The chicken tikka masala or mango chutney was the culprit, delivering the worst food poisoning of my life. I would have killed myself if I had the energy to do so. You have been warned!

I have never felt compelled to write a review such as this. But this place is horrible. Horrible staff, bad Management. We came here for a late lunch. I have traveled to Kerala in Southern India several times and was keen to have the food again. We picked this place based on Unilocal and groupon reviews. Don’t go, it was terrible. It was very quiet, about three tables occupied. The staff were just not bothered about the customers. We ordered lunch menu, as it was recommended by waiter. The lamb dish was dry and chicken leg was over cooked(burnt) — not good at all. In the end of our unpleasant lunch. We asked for bill and I’ve prepared my groupon. He was very aggressive when he saw that I have Coupon from«Groupon». Why people do that??? They want to bring new clintele, but their attitude is inappropriate. Finally, he killed me… He said: I’m not going to accept your coupon, because it’s not valid for this time. I asked him to show me his policy, he wasn’t able to find either. Later he called his owner over the phone, owner said: take full amount, no groupon accepted today. Be aware!!! They play games! The manager realized that we were not happy, but hew was continue to be rude and didn’t try to turn everything into positive side. As it was, it spolied the day.

My AWESOME boss took me out to lunch here.(Super nice of him) It is the first time I have had the opportunity to try Indian cuisine… my goodness. As soon as the first bite touched my tounge I melted away to food heaven. It was just. an explosion of flavors I have never experienced. It was amazing and I fell in love. The restaurant is a small, with a welcoming feeling(our waiter was a cool young man) who was most likely the reason for the welcoming feeling. — You might drive by, as I did many times and never realize what an awesome thing your passing up. — Give it a shot! — I am so glad I did. Thanks P. –Still thinking about the super yummy flavors!

Finally tried this place. Very satisfied. I just had two bowls of tikka masala and lamb korma and I really want a third. Tikka masala is a little on the tomato-y side but it’s ok. Medium spice level was good, maybe will go up a level next time. Our delivery took an hour and unfortunately didn’t come with mint chutney so I guess you have to ask for it. Garlic naan and raita were on point. Ok, going for that third bowl goodbye.

Wow! Where will I begin with how horrible this restaurant’s food was? This says a lot about other online food ordering sites other that Eat24, since my first experience was via Grub Hub. Well, I screwed up on this pick! The biryani is tasteless. All the other foods are basically soups! I ordered aloo gobi and their daal. Both were soups. This was a gesture to surprise my wife with a Friday take out for dinner. I hope he thought counts. Is there a half of a star rating just for delivering 7.5 miles out of their area?

LOVETHISPLACE! My boyfriend and I have been frequenting this place for about 3 months and now we dine in almost once a week! Staff is incredibly attentive. We have a favorite waiter… can’t say I know his name, but he is always a pleasure! The manager is also super nice :) FOODISAWESOME! Boyfriend always gets the Butter Chicken Makhani and Chili Garlic Naan and I lean towards the Lamb Samosa, Pickled Lime, Raita and a Mango Lassi. PERFECT!

I wanted to give this place a higher rating, but just can’t and I’ll tell you why… This restaurant is located in a small plaza near the 101 freeway, and they have a parking lot in front, which is definitely a blessing for any restaurant in the LA area. I’d been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time because I drive by all the time, and have heard good things from Unilocal and from friends. Upon walking in, I really liked the décor of the place, especially the pretty tiles on the ceiling and it had a slightly upscale feel particularly for the area. The servers were also dressed professionally in white dress shirts and black slacks. Onto the food, I had a groupon and thanks to Unilocal saw that you can not order any clay pit specials and also found out from our server that you can not add $ 6 to make you a la carte item a dinner combo, but apart from that order away. My BF and I decided to start out with the vegetable samosasa, which were delicious and not greasy, and a nice portion for $ 3.50. I was actually pretty full after the complimentary appetizer(it’s like a crispy cracker served with two sauces) plus the samosa, which I also added the sauces to. Then we ordered the chicken tandoori, which smelled delicious and the flavors were good, but the chicken was super dry and almost difficult to eat. The chicken vindaloo was kinda bland, there was no kick or anything special going on in that small bowl with a few pieces of cubed chicken and even fewer potatoes. Part of the reason I ordered the vindaloo was because I wanted the potatoes, and I don’t know why they couldn’t put a few more pieces, potatoes are so inexpensive! Both the tandoori and vindaloo had no wow factors at all, no spice, and nothing exciting. We ordered a side of rice and an order of garlic naan. The naan was also dissappoiting, it just didn’t have the texture of what naan should be… Overall, I do feel like this place is a bit pricy for the portion you get, thank goodness we had a groupon. I feel bad for complaining, because the servers were very nice and there weren’t many people at the restaurant, just us and two other couples, but I did see people picking up to go and one server going to drop off deliveries. My advice to the owner is to bring more life and flavor to the dishes, that is what people come to Indian restaurants for. If someone ask for mild or not spicy, that is totally fine, but for the rest of us, we want something that will excite our taste buds. Also, either give larger portions or bring down the price a bit then you wouldn’t have to offer so many discounts.

I ordered the special dinner for 2 online using Eat24. I was surprised that they delivered to me because I am 7 miles away from their location and on top of that I ordered at 10 pm, but they did! I was very happy with the food. We got curry veggies, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, samosas, plain naan, two containers of rice, and rice pudding for dessert. Everything tasted great and it arrived in about 30 minutes. My favorite Indian dish is chicken tikka masala and I rate theirs an 8 out of 10. I was sad that it didn’t come with any raita, however you do normally need to ask for that and I forgot to. Overall an excellent late night dinner was delivered to my house and I am happy to have an additional delivery option besides pizza and thai.

Had the $ 20 Groupon so off we went to — Mid Wilshire as the Groupon claimed? No… not really. More like Silver Lake adjacent. Whatever… it’s in a small sort of nondescript strip mall. Inside it’s nicer than you’d expect but I found the temperature of the room uncomfortably warm. That would be the theme of the evening as it turned out. There is a Unilocal deal for checking in, but they’re quick to tell you that it can’t be used in conjunction with the Groupon(I already know that, thanks… this isn’t my first Groupon rodeo). You also can’t get anything from the«India’s Clay Pit Specials» section of the menu with a Groupon, which is a shame because that’s where the combo dinners are and some other good things. She is a vegetarian so we stuck with that as our ordering strategy. We had the Aloo Tikki to start, which we both found bland(not served with any sauce) and dry. We asked for some chutney… the server brought out a selection of two along with some Pappadum, which I suppose we wouldn’t have received unless we asked. We also ordered vegetable samosas and that is clearly the way to go if you’re going to be ordering veggie apps — probably the best thing we had that evening. For our main course we shared Sag Paneer, which we ordered mild. It was too spicy for me… even she(who likes spicy food) agreed it couldn’t reasonably be called«mild». When we mentioned this to the server, he suggested some Raita, which was certainly going to be required if I was going to be able to eat any of the dish. We also ordered sides of rice and Naan. Our dinner was OK — besides being on the too spicy side. Some mild irritants — they don’t have iced tea(not even that spicy/flowery version typically served at Indian restaurants) and when I requested boxes to pack the remainder of our dinner to go, we were given two small sized cups(yes, cups) to pack up appetizers, bread, rice and our main course. So that didn’t work very well. Service is friendly and well meaning. Food is standard — if you don’t like spicy food you should be VERYCLEAR about that when ordering. Parking is easy(lot right in front). Prices are fair. Again, I felt like the dining room was over-heated. So all in all, we probably won’t come back. But if this happens to be in your hood and you snag a deal, it’s not the worst Indian food you’ll ever have. Likely won’t be the best though.

Convienent parking. Quick to make To go orders. Friendly staff. Delicious food. I’ve come here quite a few times since it’s so close to my apartment. I’ve never had any issues. Once I had to wait maybe 5 minutes and they gave me a free mango lassi(which was AMAZING). Their meal deal is the best. It’s honestly enough for 3 meals. Comes with soup, rice; naan and the dish oh and dessert. The soup alone is enough for lunch the next day. I usually get their veggie korma, which is very tasty. My co workers got their chicken dishes and loved them. Also tried the sauce to the mango chicken meatballs and really flavorful!

Clean eating. Dining place with great fresh items, not greasy, don’t feel crap after, comfort food. Brand spanking new place opened 3weeks. Appetizer crisp bread, Naan bread, curry was great, dont recommend chicken. Would recommend dinner, place to get intimate time to chat. They’re very professional. Great timing, allotted time enough time between items served. That means the food may be a little bland for some folks that love everything greased up, but to me this place is more comfort dining. LOVED the coconut curry with lamb. Would probably want to come back to try something different, another curry with some wine. Combination meal is a really good deal with everything. Cool spot to dine at for a simple date. Checkin 15% off dine in or take out! Wish I noticed earlier. Actually been waiting for them to open. But this place needs pictures, because I dont know alot of the items listed. But assuming they don’t have pictures because nice dining places dont have photo menus haha Combination Dinner for 2: $ 39.95 included all of the below. Seating down, got crispy bread with dips, delicious. Appetizer: Vegetable Samosa India’s Clay Pit Special: Chicken Tandoori, coconut curry lamb, Dall Makhni(vegetables lentils). Desert: Rice pudding. Walked over to eat. Great service! Hope they do well. Its just in the wrong part of town(Nice dining next to 711 and laundry mat). A little more festive decoration, and they’re dj station to pump up the place could liven it even with classical music or festive music depending which direction of audience going toward.
