Decent but average food… and very indifferent service. Waiter never even came by after food was served to refill drinks or ask if we needed anything. Won’t be back.

While the food is good, their customer service is the absolute worst. There is always a problem when we order. Today will be the last time we order from this restaurant. Our lunch order was completely wrong, and they would not refund or send us the correct order. They said they were«too busy» to send our correct food. Do yourself a favor and find a different Indian food restaurant.

Very basic Indian food. Came for the lunch special and walked over from work. Ordered chicken tikka masala and lamb vindaloo. Kinda disappointed… meats weren’t fresh… super bland flavors, portions are on the smaller side. Service was slow. We had to ask multiple times for hot sauce and napkins and we were literally the only people in the place. Disappointed bc I love Indian food and was looking for a place close to work. I don’t think I’ll be back.

Service is very good first of all. I called and spoke with Karen to assist with my wife’s pot luck where she works. Karen gave some great recommendations and worked out a fair price. Best part the food is sooooo good. Looking forward to trying more on the menu for a dine in. Thank you Karen for all your help.

Good place to grab a bite to eat. Some of the dishes end up tasting the same, but for the most part they nail it. The Saag is amazing always, and the mushroom matar is fantastic as well. I am in a never ending quest to find the specific style of biryani I used to get back home, this place sadly does the tomato based biryani like most of the other places.

Dirtiest Indian Resturant outside India… no wonder the place is empty all the time now… nasty food and bad service… I would stay away from this place, there was a reason the health department closed this place before…

One of the cheapest and tastiest lunch spots in LA! I’ve only gone for lunch — honestly I don’t know what their normal menu looks like — but the lunch specials are great. All for under $ 8, I usually get the curry chicken which is served with a generous portion of rice, salad and spinach. The pieces of dark meat chicken are cooked in the most delicious and mildly spicy curry, making for quite the party in your mouth. Not to mention the spinach is pretty amazing! BUT… don’t forget the garlic naan! It’s a must. Wrapping it up: I recommend this place for lunch. It’s cheap, tasty, clean, friendly, welcoming and accepts major credit cards.

Every since finding this gem I come at least once a week. My husband and I get the same thing every time because it taste so good. We first start with an order of samosas … So good… And then we get the half tandoori chicken dinner. Comes with 2 sides and naan. We also like to get the chicken Marsala a la carte… Then to complete my meal i get the rice pudding!!! So delicious… And nutritious(we’ll maybe not) …but it’s so good The staff is always very friendly and the owners are nice. Definitely a place to try if you are looking for Indian food…

We’ve tried several Indian restaurants in LA. India’s Grill beats them all in terms of freshness and flavor. Well balanced Curries, Masala and Biryani, etc. Most Indian restaurants make overly heavy/creamy curries, but here you’ll find they’re just right.

The food here is soooo good, Masala Chicken and basmati rice, they also have a various assortment of good naan breads and fresh paratha(so tasty) However, I ordered delivery, the delivery guy could’ve been a bit nicer, and more accommodating, but nonetheless he was very rude.

One of the few times that Unilocal has let us down. I have eaten my fair share of Indian food over the years and this place is the worst. The Naan was not flavorful. My chicken was tough and over cooked. My friend was incensed at the red eye added to the food. She’s Indian and knew the dishes should not be red. She did not like her vegetarian dishes either. We were both disappointed. Indian food for people not familiar with traditional Indian food.

Not sure why some reviews are not too positive about this place. But this place is amazing 5 star all the way … Possibly new chef. Manager, or owner, do come back and give it another shot because I do not agree with anything else but the positive reviews ‚ Food amazing… authentic to the max Staff friendly and prompt Good job guys

Praise be to all the ancestors who created the wonderful dishes that come down to our world from the ancients. Indian food is one of my favorites, and this great restaurant does not disappoint. I used to come here years ago, when it was a dark little dive. Now they have updated, added booths, and while it is still small, it is much more appealing. I was with my friend, Mitta, who has been to India 8 times and has tried just about every restaurant in LA. I was happy to introduce her to one she hasn’t tried. This place is very special. The food is unique to all the other Indian restaurants. Everything is very fresh and the spices are amazing, very authentic. In some Indian restaurants every dish tastes like it has the same spices. Here, each dish is unique. The Saag Aloo for example(spinach with potatoes) isn’t that runny gooey mess you sometimes get, where they have added liquid or yogurt to make it more creamy. The Saag was made with incredibly fresh spinach and big chunks of well-cooked potatoes. It didn’t really have a «sauce» as such; it was more like there were some tomatoes added and then it was just all cooked down with spices. Absolutely delicious. Mitta liked the Malai Kofta the best, veggie balls cooked in sauce. the veggie balls were a little chewy, which was pleasant, and again, the sauce tasted differently spices. The Matar Paneer(peas with fried squares of ricotta) was fabulous, better than any paneer dish I’ve ever had(even in India). We didn’t get an eggplant dish, which I usually do, so will try that next time. The lentil«soup»(dahl makhani — pronounced dal MAHKnee) was delicious and well cooked and with unique spices yet again. The topper was the garlic basic naan bread — best I’ve ever had. Really crispy, not oily, sprinkled with chopped up basil leaves. The pricing for most of the dishes is $ 8.95/$ 14.95 — either a la carte dishes, or on the dinner with sides and bread included. They had a ton of vegetarian dishes but they also have lamb, chicken, etc. They have a lot for parking right in front but it’s sometimes hard to get into and we were lucky to find a place at the meters on the street. It’s a little tricky to find this place because if you come down La Cienega(either direction) you can’t get into it. there’s only one way to drive to it and that’s going north on San Vicente from Wilshire or 6th. It’s in a little triangular mini mall and you can’t see the restaurant until you’re standing in front of it. We ate like pigs and left stuffed and happy with leftovers for today.

Great Indian food in WeHo with weekday lunch specials below $ 10. We ordered vegetable samosas(an order comes with two), garlic naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Curry, Lamb Vindaloo, and washed it all down with mango lassi. Everything was delicious! I particularly liked the eggplant which was the vegetable side for the entrees. Glad there’s a spot to get great Indian food without having to drive all the way down to Artesia. Location is in a small lot. Friendly waitstaff.

This place is super yummy! My aunt was visiting from Canada and wanted Indian food. We were in LA for the day. I took her to a fancier place down the street but they were closed in the middle of the day. The owner was a nightmare too. Was so happy to find this place down the street. It was more casual but VERY good food AND service. Good pricing too!

NEVERCOMINGBACKTOTHISPLACEAGAIN! Karen is some old lady they have working there she is extremely rude and nasty to customers. The owner so really take these reviews into consideration because the food is actually really good. It’s a shame to lose customer because of the staff that you choose to have to represent your business. I’ve come here multiple times it was my go to place and then I had this woman Karen completely just throw off everything for myself and my mom at lunch that we walked out. I hope that this Karen lady isn’t of any importance to the restaurant because she needs to be fired!

Hands down one of the better Indian places to go to. Not much to look at from outside, but the food and service make up for it heavily! This place is literally one block from my spinal specialist’ office. I got to my appointment early and ended up going for lunch with my daughter. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted as if we were regulars. The woman behind the counter was very attentive with my 3 year old daughter and even gave her a piece of paper & pencil so she can draw, while we waited for our food. I ordered the chicken tikka masala(level: Hot) with rice and lentils… All I can say is, ABSOLUTELYPERFECT in all aspects! The heat was just right, meat was tender and rice was light aromatic! My daughter had the chicken tikka and rice. She had no complaints at all with her food lol! If I could give this review more stars, I Definitely would! They really know how to treat their customers and the food was delicious!

We ordered this for take-out and were VERY impressed. Keeble Naan(The one with the cherries): My boyfriend LOVED it. I personally like original sweet naan better because this didn’t do with our food as well, but it was very good by itself. Palak Aloo: I think thats what they call their spinach and potatoes at this one? It was incredible! Different than any other Indian place I’ve had. It actually had small slivers of ginger in it which gave it a wonderful flavor. and crunch whenever you hit a spot with ginger! Began Bhartha: Very good, and not too greasy like some other places in town. I liked mine a little sweeter but it was still very yummy. Service: 5⁄5. They told us it’d take 20 minutes and it ended up coming out sooner. BUT they DIDNTGIVEUSANYSILVERWARE!!! Which sucked because we got take out because we were on the go and were gonna have to eat in the car… Needless to say it was very messy and I was upset because it’s a new car.

As a Brit who grew up eating Indian food on the Curry Mile in Rusholme, Manchester, I think I can credibly judge the difference between good & bad Indian food. It’s well known that Indian food sucks in Los Angeles, but India’s Grill is an exception to this rule. If I could give 4.5 stars here I would. Delicious Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Saag, Garlic Naan, Vegetable Samosas, Chicken Pekora, etc. Everything I’ve had here has really been very tasty indeed. These guys know how to make an Indian curry. Period. Parking is easy if you dine in. Delivery takes around 30 minutes if you don’t. And prices are very reasonable either way. Dot Not Feather.
