I have been eating Karen’s Food for years before she recently opened her cooking to the public as a Private Chef. Most of her business back then was for high end billionaire clients and international business moguls. She traveled all over the country providing dining and concierge services for short stays at resorts and rented vacation villas. Now Karen’s Food is open to the public for small events, dinner parties, weddings and more. Try the low cholesterol dairy free creamed cauliflower soup. It’s amazing. She also has a line of gluten free cookies that are to die for. The main angle here is Italian. Karen was a Chef in Italy for two years and brought back some amazing skills and recipes. But since then she has branched into other cuisines including fresh and sustainable foods, as well as Asian and other European cuisines. Also try the braised short ribs, the ox tails, her pea soup, chili, and the best beef and barley soup I have ever tasted. Any vegetable she touches is magic. I am lucky to have the opportunity to try her food fairly often as a recipe tester. But I have also been to her feasts for hire… and they are great. especially her Scandinavian Christmas Jul Bord, which is a real treat. TRIVIA: Karen was a competitor on the first episode of GUY’S Grocery Store Games on FOODNETWORKCHANNEL. And from my understanding she is set to be on more FNC shows.
