Food was average. I had the Fish&Chips. The prices were steep but expected in a hotel. The convenience of being in the hotel is nice. Would go again if staying at this Hilton again.

Service was good. Beer was good. Prices are high for what you are getting, to be expected at airport hotel bar. Our flight was cancelled and the airport put us ip in the Hilton and gave us a $ 7.00 food voucher for the hassle. The cheapest dinner on the plate is three time that, so…

I have stayed in LAX Hilton a few times in 2 month. The landings is a typical airport hotel bar… expensive and so so service. Food is OK but again expensive. I don’t see it as a sports bar, just a few tv’s. Drinks are expensive… $ 8.75 for a draft… no bar munchies. It’s just ok if staying here but don’t gout of your way.

This is what is described as «The Chefs Seletion» for Two. It goes for $ 15.75 at this classy upscale hotel bar. This is the second plate delivered because I complained about the first plate that had 3 small chunks of dried up parmesen. The manager who took an entire half an hour to come talk to me hand delivered his version of a fix which was 5 pieces of dried out hard parmesan, three chunks of chorizo, five slices of pepperoni and the handful of dried… toast? Yea for two. Don’t fill yourself up on this delectable.

Service professional, Meals are good. Seeing I am travelling I would like to see more local/micro brewed beers on tap or bottled. Pity it closes so early. Mabe for me it is a good thing.

It’s a sports bar — good for beer and burgers. Service is a little slow — I ordered a chicken curry that was good but the rice that came with it was dry and… crunchy??? $ 17.75 plus tax. There’s not much in this area — Denny’s, subway or Carl’s Jr so this was it.

It’s Valentine’s day and there is a convention here at the hotel and another next door. They seem adequately staged, but I’ve been waiting fit over am hour for my food. We ordered a French dip with fries and a cobb salad. I suppose since it took about 25 min to get our 2 waters I should not be surprised. The place is clean and other people’s good smells good.

I was spending the night in the hotel. My wife and I had just dropped our kids off at college and decided to have a night cap at Landings. Big mistake! I’m in my 50’s and have been in many bars and restaurants. I will also add that I am not a cheap person, I tip above average! I ordered a Baileys, neat. What showed up was a water glass with maybe less than half a shot in the bottom of the glass. I so wanted to tell him forget it but I did not want to be rude so I sat there and had my shot. Then when asked by the bartender if I wanted another I said no. The bill came I was shocked. Then the bartender stood over me as I count ed my money to pay. This was a first for me, I paid it and left a 20% tip and left. That place is not so good.

Last weekend we stayed at the Hilton LAX and Landings was the Hotel Bar. Landings was the only choice to get a drink and watch the Kings win the Stanley Cup that night in the Hotel. The décor was nice but the drink prices were obscene. The food was even worse. We had a couple of beers, a martini, and a couple of Quesdillas and the bill was $ 65. It would have been easier to swallow if the Quesdillas were eatable. It is rare that my friend ever leaves food on his plate, but he had to push half of the Quesdilla away. The other items on the menu are even more pricey. One star for the service.

Honestly the wings were amazing! So good! But then you realize they have all older gentlemen working there so service is not fast. There are plenty of t.v.s but not one has any sound. If they had sound I would think the air would be lifted in the area so you wouldn’t feel like you had to whisper all the time! Like I said wings were amazingly good, but they actually cook the food across the lobby at the Italian restaurant so the timing on getting the food is long! But this bar would make $$ if it just upped it service. Oh worst of all!!! DONOT order there pizza it was one of the most disgusting flat canned sauce pizza I’ve ever had! Plus when the bartender asked how we liked it, when we told him we didn’t. He was completely rude to us after that!

Warning: read the details under the menu items. I stopped at the title«Lobster Tacos» and did not read further. What they brought me was basically mystery meat BBQ sliders in corn tortillas. My fault. I should’ve read the details where it described as much. It was gross and overpriced($ 15). Cocktails are about $ 12 – 15. Beers are $ 6. The atmosphere is nice & clean and staff is wonderful – what you’d expect at a Hilton. I’m a little surprised about the weird food, though. W.e.i.r.d.

There were a bunch of nerds for the Orconn convention, crowding up the joint. Overall the service and food were good, I cannot say there is anything spectacular about it. The food is run of the mill Americana with some very minor international fair present(quesadillas, pizza, pastas etc… etc…). The service my party encountered was attentive and very professional, the staff worked very diligently to help us get past the other, «animated» guests who were staying at the hotel. I do have to say that when you arrive, you’re responsible for finding your own seat, not something beneficial during a convention. If you’re planning on eating there during a major convention of sorts… beware that it could take a while before you find a seat. Otherwise… Bön Apetit.

So «Landings» is the bar and lounge in the LAX Airport Hilton. I think there are several other establishments nearby that have the same name. The LAX Airport Hilton is a standard-issue airport hotel, and Landings is a standard-issue airport hotel bar and lounge. i.e.: you would never go out of your way to visit here. This is a place you wind up. Your flight was delayed, or it goes out too early/late, so you’re in a room at the Airport Hilton, and you want a drink. So you’re at the clean, pleasant, 80’s decorating-sensibilities, uninspired, functional, adequate Landings Bar & Lounge. You and all the other people who are stuck in this lint-trap of modern travel. There are plenty of TV’s in the bar, so you can maybe take your mind off how unenthused you are to be there. The service is friendly, if not particularly swift. The prices are the usual captive-audience too-high-for-what-you’re-getting, but not so much so that you don’t get another. The food is dull, but edible. It is an environment designed to sustain life, but not to promote growth, if that makes sense. Seen through that lens, Landings Bar & Lounge is good enough. Certainly no need to avoid, unless you are on a tight budget($ 10 per cocktail, if that helps your personal finance computations). Your best hope is that the person on the bar stool next to yours is able to make interesting conversation. Last call for alcohol is at around 12:30AM on a Saturday night. The menu has 3 time phases: the regular menu, available til 10PM, the«Bar Bites»(or something similar) available til 11PM, and the items on the menu marked with a red airplane stamp next to them, which are available later(not sure when they cease being an option).

Stayed in the Hilton Los Angeles Airport for the night before driving off to Vegas. This is one of the four dinning facilities in the hotel. It is a type of sport bar environment with many TV around, but surprisingly it is not noisy. The menu is simple American Fare. We had my order in with one waitress, then before we even get our water or food, in a matter of minutes, we were handed the bill! The waiter said he is not sure if we had our food, as the waitress who served us left, it was the end of her shift! Nice service eh!!! The food is very ordinary, nothing exceptional. I would not have gone there if I were not staying in the hotel.
