I’ve worked with Jay over the course of two years and he is truly one of the best. I needed someone who would give me feedback about my ideas and help guide me to the best possible tattoo. He has a way of visualizing what you want and then can execute it flawlessly. You can trust in his abilities that you will end up with a tattoo you love.

Today I got my nipples pierced and I decided to come to Jay’s shop… Best decision ever… He was so friendly and he’s so good at what he does. It was a fast process. I’m satisfied and it wasn’t expensive at all. I’m definitely coming here again :)

Went in last minute for a nose piercing. The owner was really cool and stayed later to do it for me. It was quick and pretty much painless. I’d recommend him for sure.

About three years ago, I was in dire need of an artist who could manipulate other artists’ work. I scoured the city looking for an artist brave enough/​good enough to take on my project. (I had a really bad/​big/​crappily done tribal vine outline done by an artist on Santa Monica Blvd… I was fresh off the boat…)
After meeting him, he decided to take on my project and really turned it into a badass piece. Since then I have had him create two custom pieces to accent the vine. Both were custom made Polynesian designs. I always get complimented on his work.
Being an actor I have showcased his work on many tv shows and movies. I legit book work based on how good this ink is. Each time I need a waiver from him, which he happily signs. It’s always a conversation starter on set.
Due to the nature of my skin, it rejected certain ink. Since I was 18 I have been trying to finish this one damn tattoo, each time I get it worked on my skin rejects it. (It’s a Chinese scroll) Once Jay realized my problem, he solved the issue with using a traditional Kuro Sumi ink. Since then I have had no negative reactions, and my tattoos actually come out looking awesome. Not looking all creature feature anymore.
To anyone seeking an artist, make sure to do your research. As you research Life Art Creations, and the artist Jay, you will find he truly cares about you and the art. But more importantly, he does damn good work. So if you are looking for an ARTIST I strongly recommend Life Art Creations. But if you are looking for someone who gives you a jail looking ass tattoo, go to Daytona beach.

Worst experience I have ever had in a tattoo shop. I went in to get a tattoo from jay. He was completely rude and unprofessional so I ended up walking out. The store looks very cheap and unsanitary. I would not go here to get anything done.

Clean, nice, professional service provided by artist Jayson whose talent took my basic concept and draft into a wonderful artwork for my first tattoo! Highly recommended!

I’ve been to Jayson 6 times and he always does a incredible job. Very chill atmosphere, he’s great to go to when you have an idea and need some advice from the artist. Will always go back and refer people to him.

Jay is THE BEST. I’ve gone twice in the last couple of months, first to get my second ear piecing holes re-​pierced and then to get my nose pierced. Both times were such lovely experiences. Jay keeps things relaxed but is so quick and efficient. Also, both times I went in with friends who were getting piercings, all of us in our 30s and a little self-​conscious about being in a piercing parlor. Jay made us feel great and we had such a blast — and our piercings turned out great! I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Decided to come to this place to get my nipples pierced because of all the great reviews it has and there’s no doubt I chose the right place. I called ahead just to make sure he would be available at the time I wanted to come in. Really cool and CLEAN place. I felt completely comfortable and trusted he would do a great job, which he did!

It’s no surprise that the only negative review of this business is from a guy whose Unilocal photo is literally a butt, and who has only written two reviews, both of them one star (I’m concerned Unilocal will censor me if I use anything stronger than the word «butt»).
I was a little skeptical in coming because Jay is pretty short and to the point on the phone, and it came across as kind of curt and disinterested. Once I was in the studio, however, I realized it was because he gets a lot of phone calls about prices, etc… a whole lot of random inquiries that would have to get annoying over time.
The studio itself is a private studio so no one else is receiving work while you are there. It was just me and Jay, which was awesome. He was fully present to the entire process and really responsive to my desires. I was really impressed at how efficiently he worked, whether it was sketching something out by hand or scanning images I brought with me and working with them digitally to produce the look and size that I wanted. He never fussed when I asked him to change something about the design or to erase a stencil and reapply it 2 mm away from where he had previously put it. He truly seemed concerned with me being happy about the work that I received. Obviously that is good business, but it also seemed sincere.
Interpersonally I enjoyed him as well. He was easy to talk to and very down to earth. I was there for a little over two hours, getting three different pieces of work done on three different parts of my body. Jay worked efficiently but not rushed. It was the perfect blend of quality, presence and speed. I never felt like he was milking time for more money or like he was rushing to get me out of the door.
One of my tattoos was also a little vulnerable for me to get, because it reminded me of a very difficult experience in my life and was also a tattoo image that grown men don’t tend to get on their bodies. Jay never scoffed — he only wanted me to get the best possible work. I have definitely found my tattoo guy in Los Angeles, and I’m super grateful to the friend who referred me!!!

Jay is great – a really calm, friendly guy and it’s clear he’s an expert in his field. I went in for a nose piercing and felt really happy to have Jay handle it. Definitely an A+ experience all around.

I’ve never written a review before, but I felt the need to write this one. This past Sunday I had been calling around to multiple shops for pricing for 2 cartilage piercings, everyone was a bit too expensive for me, but jay not only returned my call with his prices, he even went back to his shop after he had already closed up, which I really appreciate so much. His prices are good too. He’s a real chill guy, and I love my new piercings. Thanks jay! (Thumbs up)

Jay is simply fantastic. I went in for my first tattoo last weekend and I could not have asked for a better experience. I only brought with me the image saved in my email and the nerves that come with being a first-​timer. Jay is the perfect amount of fun and professional. He just has a great vibe.
The place is great as well. Super clean but also with a lot of character. I walked in behind a group of girls all getting piercings. It felt a little like a community block party.
The tattoo itself is wonderful. Jay listened to what I wanted and sketched out the wording beautifully. I couldn’t be happier!

My mom and I decided we wanted to get matching tattoos. I have to admit I felt a little awkward about taking my mom to a «tattoo parlor» — kind of like going to a movie with your mom and there’s lots of sex in it… just kind of weird.
Anyway, Jay was super nice and very professional. His shop looks edgy enough that you feel like you’re doing something a little wild but not so much that you’re embarrassed to be there with your mother! So ya, his place is clean (as in sterilized properly!), interesting, and he knows how to act.
And now for the important part — the tattoo! Well, this was my first tattoo so I don’t have any frame of reference but it was a great experience working with Jay. I contacted him a few weeks in advance with a design and some basic, lame questions (we don’t live in the area but knew we would be in town on a particular date). He was super professional and helpful, and we made an appointment. When we showed up he was there and ready for us. He had taken my design I showed him and had it all ready, and was even understanding when I told him I had made some changes to it. He worked in the changes without a hassle and definitely improved on the design, which I didn’t even realize how much until I got home that night and looked at it closely. It was my design, only way better!
Well, tattoos do hurt… I went first and as soon as he did the first little part I thought, «how am I going to let my 71 year old mother do this to herself?!» and I suggested she run down to the liquor store! Well, Jay even had wine — red wine — because my mother couldn’t bring herself to buy Thunderbird, which was all they had at the store.
We were completely confident in Jay’s ability to do a clean, professional job. I highly recommend Jay and his place. If you want a biker/​gangster/​not sure if he’s even sober kind of tattoo place, don’t go here. But if you happen to be out on an adventure with your mother, DEFINITELY this is your place! Thanks, Jay, for accommodating us.

Got a piece done by Jay today and it came out awesome. I came in with a design I found and he sketched out a beautiful piece from it. He was completely patient with me considering all the concerns I had and made sure I got what I wanted. My tattoo came out way better that I expected.
He plays loud great music and his space is a chill environment, especially if you have guests with you. I definitely would recommend him for any piece and will be a repeat customer some time in the future for my next piece.

Jay rocked this. I came to him with a concept, he ran with it till it was realized. Today we’re finishing it.

Went on a little spontaneous trip this past Tuesday. Yes, I know. a bit late, but this place left an imprint in my faulty memory so it was indeed more than worthy of a review.
Found this place on Unilocal with great reviews so i decided to go for it. It was a little hard to find, but im sure glad i came to the right place! The building might look a bit shady from outside, but FEAR NOT! my friends. I say GO GO GO! Got my cartilage done for only $ 35 + 5 for the jewelry. So CHEAP for a piercing done right! Cant say it wasnt painful, but it was worth every dollar. Used to pay 75+ for piercings at other tattoo parlors. This place is a diamond in the rough. Very nice guy with great taste in music!
Will DEFINITELY make another visit for another one. its becoming an addiction.

The shop is like a clean surfing bungalow. The walls are a lovely minty shade, and it is very pleasant to be there. Jayson is the owner and works solo.
I brought in two pictures of an artichoke, neither were quite right but they were both close to what I wanted. Jayson asked what I did and didn’t like about each and then drew something that got the best of both images.
Jayson is FAST, which is great because it hurts. Unless you are into slow hurt. He also was cool with my friend and me bringing her dog and my baby.
The price was very reasonable. I love my tattoo and get many compliments on it.
