Pretty fresh ingredients included in the burrito. Great flavour. Fresh made tortillas chips… I hate that they close so early! This place is delicious!

Chips and salsa are bomb. Food is good. 3.40 $ of tax for a 4.00 $ meal? Wouldn’t come here again.

The lady running the place was really kind and helpful. I really enjoyed talking with her about mexican food. The food overall was slightly better than average. The salsa was really good but not a very generous portion. Enchilada was tasty. Chili Relleno was just ok. I’d certainly eat here again. it’s really close to where the car rental center is, after you arrive at LAX go eat here. Seems they close pretty early at times.

This place is was really good… really small and hard to spot but glad we came in. My boyfriend and I loved the food… very fresh, tortillas and tortilla chips were delish like the ones in MX.

I ordered a carne asada burrito with everything, and it was very mediocre. The meat was only okay and didn’t have any flavor to remember. It does seem like the restaurant comes second to the tortilla business, and I didn’t try the tortillas separately from the burrito, so maybe I’m missing something. The woman who took my order and cooked my food was very nice, and the place seemed clean enough. Also, you are charged $.50 if you want to use a credit card for orders less than $ 10, so I added on a bottle of Coke.

Enchiladas were on point! Everything was fresh, tasty and well priced. How can you you beat fresh tortillas made right on the premises? Grab some chips too!

The restaurant is merely a front for their homemade tortilla store however this is one of my favorite breakfast spots in the entire city. I try to come here whenever I pick someone up from LAX in the morning.(I think I’ve been there 7 times by now.) I like to order the machaca con huevos. But the chorizo breakfast is also great(6 $ for each). Orders include a fresh stack of homemade corn tortillas from their in store corn mill! :D. They don’t get a constant flow of customers but don’t be afraid because they’ll be glad to brew a pot of coffee when asked. I’ve only met the owner once. It’s usually the sweet lady who doesn’t speak any English running the back and front of the restaurant by herself. But I wish Maria would open one in the valley … I’d go every week!

Honeslty i’m a Mexican food finatic! Its my fav! But I really don’t know what all the hype is about this place. I have been here about three times out of the years this place has been open and the food never gets better. Ive had each kind of tamale and they were nothing to write home about at all. When I ordered them some were refrigerated and some were frozen with a bit of freezer burn. I’ve also tried their soups which are pretty much flavorless. I was in hopes this place would be good since I live so close but Nope! Id rather make a longer trip and drive up Manchester and down Western to Ramonas for some really good tortillas, tamales or burritos or Fiesta Time on Labrea for soup or asada.

I’m trying to find another reason to give them an extra star but I can’t find one. The food is severely overpriced. Especially for the quality of food and service. I had a carne asana burrito which had no flavor and was chewy in texture. I paid nearly $ 8 for all meat and there was probably a hand full of meat. I had to ask the cashier/cook to take my order. After waiting a few minutes for her to ask me. All in all, I will not return. Im sure I can find better else where.

***********UTTERLYDISAPPOINTING*********** Where do I begin? OK, so when you boast a restaurant that makes their own tortillas I generally expect fresh and warm tortillas, not to much to ask for right??? Apparently, Maria doesn’t care about her tortillas! I went in for lunch and ordered the crunch tacos meal. Again for a place that makes their own tortillas I was expecting fried tortillas tacos, not too much to ask for right? Well, what you expect is not always what you get, and boy was I blindsided. I was served Taco Bell hard shell tacos!!! WTF??? Maria’s has plenty of tortillas but instead of making tacos from those she uses the prefab hardshell that Taco Bell is infamous for??? So not only did I get generic tacos but the lady working(don’t know if it’s Maria) but she just appeared disturbed at having to tend to her customers. This place is just an utter disappointment, gives tortillas a bad name… No quiero Taco Bell!

Get’em while they are fresh! That’s what makes Maria’s great; nothing beats a fresh tortilla. Maria’s is easy to miss though. It is in a strip mall off Manchester and the location is really low kew. They always have freshies, but look them over to make sure you get them right out of the oven and not off the rack, those are way better.

I went to this place with some co-workers for lunch. The place is a bit small, the lady behind the counter was nice and the good was okay. I have had better.

The spinach tortillas actually tasted of spinach, unlike any I have ever had before. I also availed myself of a carne asada soft taco while I was shopping, and it was excellent; perfectly seasoned, more than worth the $ 2.50 it cost, even though others might be larger — but not better — for the price.

I came here today since I’d heard quite a bit about their tamales and I love a good hole in the wall. I ordered an vegetarian tamale with a cheese enchilada combo. The vegetarian tamale left a lot to be desired and was dry from them microwaving it. They also got the enchilada from the back and microwaved that. I was not pleased. I won’t be coming here again.

The real deal. Excellent bean and cheese burritos, chips are great, and of course the tortillas are to die for. This is a small restaurant with great quality food.

I had a different experience than the others. And perhaps it was because I arrived at 10am. First, the lady behind the counter spoke no ingles and was not in the least apologetic about it. So communication was a major problem. I tried to order three tacos but this was refused as being too difficult or something. She suggested something else and in desperation I said ok. What I got was three tacos. The taste was just fine but the fillings were way to liquid and while I ate my first taco, the other two were sitting in the juice from the filling. So by the time I was hitting the second taco the bottom of the tortilla had soaked in enough liquid to start falling apart. That is just not right.

A really small restaurant, with two tables inside and two tables outside. They make good tortilla and taco shells. I didn’t try the tamales, which everyone raves about. There taco’s are good, a crisp homemade shell fill with moist chicken, the chicken could of used more seasoning. Salsa wasn’t the best, not allot of flavor or heat. Friendly service. I will be back to try the tamales.

LOVE Maria’s. She makes the BEST refried beans in town. The service is always spot on, personal, friendly, fast. I especially like it when Maria’s grandbaby is in the back. He’s a cutie! What a great Westchester jewel.

Maria’s is a small tortilla shop that I have eaten lunch at a few times. The main thing that I go there for are the tamales. They have various exotic tamales that are so tasty. My favorites are the sweet corn and sweet pineapple. Besides the tamales, the food selection is pretty typical for a Mexican restaurant. I typically get a combo when I eat there, which includes rice, beans, chips and salsa. All are pretty standard, and nothing to write home about. Good, but not great. The tamales are great though, and for me they are what I go there for. The seating is very limited with three small tables inside and two outside. Maria’s is a good alternative to fast food for lunch at a decent price.

MMmm my mom would often come home with their freshly made tortillas and I said I’d have to go! So, when I happened to be in the area, I stopped by and got a Vegetarian Tamale & Enchilada combo plate with beans and rice. The vegetarian tamale was delicious! I gave the chicken enchilada to my sister, it looked pretty good, she liked it. Beans in rice, cool cool. It is verey hot in there though, I suggest taking it to go… I actually had the honor of meeting Maria xD She was really nice and told us some background information on the restaurant and all that. Nice experience… Now I want some tamales!
