I stopped going to salons in the 6^th grade after some lady gave me the ugliest bob of my life, it was so traumatic I didn’t trust anyone to cut my hair anymore. Now I’m a sophomore in college & decided that with the new technology of Unilocal,I could probably find a great salon & I did! Jay Torres cut my hair today & she did an amaaaaazing job. My hair looks x100 healthier & I can’t stop smiling. I posted a little video to my snapstory to show everyone I know & I’m getting compliments left & right! I’m crowning Jay my new stylist for however long I live in LA, which will probably be quiet awhile, as I’m a film student at USC. I’m definitely considering a color now & my fear of terrible haircuts has been eliminated.

Had a fab experience at Neihule! I was randomly in DTLA and decided I hated my hair color and wanted a change. I called Neihule and the super helpful, friendly receptionist was able to accommodate me the same day! My appointment ended up being with Ariana who was amazing and super nice. She gave my hair more dimension with a beautiful caramel balayage. She listened to exactly what I wanted and I am absolutely satisfied with my new hair color. It’s a very nice salon and everyone is so friendly. It is expensive but Ariana was nice enough not to charge me for my blow out because I was a first time customer. Honestly the price is worth it when you can get what you want the first time rather than going to multiple salons. Overall great experience!

This salon is absolutely amazing.
I’ve been a long time customer of Yvonne & can’t imagine going anywhere else to get my hair done. She is an amazing colorist. I would recommend anyone who is looking to get their hair done to come here. The whole experience from when you check in, to when you leave is so relaxing. It’s a perfect salon for some «ME» time.

Jessica Kenna is a hair magician & artist! She know when to highlight & when to low light, forever keeping my hair look healthy & young!

WORST PLACE EVER… over charges and then u can never reach a manager or owner. Had our hair done for a wedding as the bridal party and all of our hair fell out. We called and they said it was our problem on top of it they over booked people so we were a half hour late for the ceremony and did not have enough hair stylish to do our group. Do not go here… worst place ever!!!

Nicole did a blonde highlights six months a ago on the front part of my hair. Was happy with the results.
Came back in December cauz i had to much of dark roots. This time Nicole dye all my hair and made sure to deep condition so that I have a beautiful and healthy looking hair! Love the look!
Now it s been 3 weeks I come to the salon to condition my hair. So far so good!
Love Nicole, she knows how to do color and take care hair! Very professional!

My hair is very thick, and lots of it! I also recently had a bad dye job that did not last longer than 4 months. I also had terribly bad dead blonde ends. I finally decided to visit Marie before the new year.
MARIE IS SUPER SWEET!
I was a little sick from the cold weather, and she got me water, orange juice, tea, and more water.
You can tell she really loves her job, and always puts the customer first. Honestly, her works speaks for itself. (#beautyjunkiemarie) My hair no longer has dead ends, light weight, and a wonderful ombré.

This place is very over-​priced and the staff is very slow. There is no sense of urgency to help customers and every time you call you are placed on hold. Overall, it is ok if you have no one else to go and it’s convenient but I would never make this my go-​to nail salon.

Claudia done an amazing job on my hair cut! She cut off all my dead hair without actually making my hair seem that much shorter but definitely looks healthier. She also makes great suggestions on how to keep your hair healthier and fuller. Just let her do her magic and it will come out great!

Booked an appointment w/​the senior stylist named Besma. Did my research beforehand. Initially thought it was a quality cut, but it wasn’t on par w/​my main stylist in DTLA. I was confused on pricing since the online deposit was new to me. Whoops. Total came out to $ 68, not including tip for a men’s cut. Really disappointed, I didn’t realize how bad the back of my hair was until I took a picture. My main stylist said there’s not supposed to be stacking in the back. The back of my hair wasn’t blended at all. She was fully booked hence my appointment here. So bummed because it’s basically the last week of school so wanted to look good for this girl. Price doesn’t reflect quality of service. Drove from OC, won’t return

I am in love with my hair! I have Virgin hair. Never dyed it. Ever. Jay was very comforting in that my balayage would turn out great and she was right! She did an amazing job and I couldn’t have asked for a nicer more patient stylist. Please see her for your hair needs!

Nicole was my stylist, and all i can say is that I’ve been living in down town for nearly 3 years now, and i tried most of the salons, NON made me actually walk out genuinely happy about my hair cut !!
The price is perfect as well.

Stefanie Cuesta does my hair and she is AMAZING! I literally call her my «fairy hair mother!» I trust her with my hair completely. She knows what’s up with the trends and has the skill to match! She is funny, talented to boot, and one of the hardest working people I know! If you get the chance to go to Neihule, you have to see Stef! You will be so so glad you did!

You must go see my girl Jessica Kenna for a balayage and or amazing color correction. She has forever changed my hair and went to every length to create my beautiful color. She did a color correction, cut and color and I truly
appreciated the time she spent talking me through the process. It’s important to know what’s happening before color is applied. I will be seeing her again soon and cannot wait for my touch up. I came out of her chair satisfied and I highly recommend her to anyone wanting a vibrant change.

Marie has been doing my hair for years now. I love her work ethic and her contagious outgoing personality. After a session with her, I think everyone can agree that Marie absolutely loves what she does. It shows in the way she meticulously handles your hair. She is seriously everything I look for in a hair stylist. She takes the time to listen to what you want to do and creates your vision effortlessly without compromising the health of your hair. I love her and would recommend her to everyone!
Not only is she amazing, but everyone else I interacted with was friendly. The lady working at the front desk was very nice and welcoming upon my arrival and chatted me up before I left. Nice clean establishment as well! As long as my girl Marie is there, I will be too!

Marie is hands down the best hair stylist who has dyed my hair! If you are worried about your choice of hair color, she is your go-​to girl. I was previously a client of hers and she had asked me to be her hair model for a balayage experiment at her new salon. I was a bit hesitant at first because I had alrdy did my hair a month ago, but since it was free & I alrdy knew Marie would do a good job I decided to go for it.
During the process, I was worried it would be too light/​blond than I had originally intended… But then the final product of my hair came out to perfection. Not only did she enhance my previous hair color, but she also fixed up my overall hair color from my previous stylist. I did not realize my overall hair color needed to be redyed, but thank god Marie told me and helped me fix my hair color!
Marie is incredibly attentive so you don’t have to worry if your hair color will turn out great/​complement your skin tone because IT WILL. She is a great listener and gives feedback about how you want your hair. She also gives great advice during the process, such as how to take care of your hair, etc. She will also tell you what is wrong with your hair i.e. my ratchet hair. Thank you Marie !!!

I have been going to Johcelynn for about 2 years now and I am happy to say that I actually have a go-​to stylist now!
The first time I went to Johcelynn I wanted to lighten my hair. and I was a little hesitant and nervous about how it would come out since I had never done my whole head before but she made me feel at ease. I liked that she really cared about preserving my hair’s health especially since it was virgin hair. I was very happy with how my hair turned out and liked that it grew out nicely. I came back a couple times after to touch up my roots and later darken my hair and all experiences have been great.
Most recently, I went to get my hair cut (a slight a-​line lob) and darkened, and I love it so much! I came in with some pictures and ideas and she gave me exactly what I wanted! I have gotten so many compliments on my hair and love that I can always trust Johcelynn to do an awesome job. I highly recommend her, especially for those that may want to lighten their hair whether it be for the first time, or not, because she will do her best not to damage your hair and keep it healthy. ALSO, she is super nice and chill and getting in contact with her whether it be for questions or to schedule an appointment is always sooo easy. If you’re looking for a new stylist, definitely ask for Johcelynn!

Ariana Garcia is an absolute color wizard. For baylayage and color correction she’s super talented and knows how to process without over processing! She cares about the integrity of your hair so the end result is complete you will get what you wanted and you will still having flexibility and shine! I highly recommend the inphanem treatment after any service. Leaves your hair feeling like silk!

Hello, Nancy again. I hope everyone’s having a fantastic summer. I just got my hair redid by Vicky again (I hurt myself snowboarding and I had to bed rest for like 2 months so my hair got mad ratchet) and I am honestly in love. I live in OC and I hate driving to LA, it gives me such bad anxiety that it takes like 10 years off my life but YoOOO for Vicky’s talents it’s worth it. She’s so good and talented and knew exactly what I wanted. When she was done, I couldn’t stop smiling. Having strong hair game is life. My confidence is through the roof. I was flirting with girls in my class all day today and they were totally flirting back, and they were straight. So girls, imagine how many guys will try and holla. A lot. Guys will be like «hey girl let me get that number» so much so that you will need to make business cards for dating.
Vicky is not only a really talented hair dresser but getting my hair done by her didn’t feel like a task. I sat in her chair for a good 5ish hours but it went by so fast cause we had really good conversations and it was such a fun time. I honestly look forward to my hair appointments.
The salon itself is super nice too! They have iPads (YASS,) free wifi (YASSx2), and drinks (YASSx3). The boss man and his wifey boss are both super stylish and sweet! I’ve been there I think 4 or 5 times now and each time the receptionist have been really awesome as well!
UPDATE: I just found out Vicky is opening her very own salon at Salon Republic in Hermosa Beach!!! I love Neihule Salon but Vicky is the only person I trust with my hair like I would follow her even if she did hair in Antarctica. So if you read my reviews and want to go see Vicky here’s her email

Came in to see Victoria so that she could fix my hair. I originally went to someone less experienced and my hair came out nothing like what I wanted. My hair was a dark red brown/​with orange balayage ombré. I contacted Victoria and I was able to book an appointment with her.
I originally wanted a balayage ombré that had more of a blonde to it. Victoria was able to take my hair to exactly what I wanted. The one thing I wish she did was use the olapex treatment with my hair because it got pretty dry/​damaged after a few washes. Victoria did amazing work to my hair. She made my base a darker brown and lightened up my balayage ombré to a blonde I was going for.
I would highly recommend Victoria because she does great work on Asian hair! The salon itself is also amazing as well! I already want to come back to get my hair lighter!

My hair needed some major help after a previous dye job back in January left my hair super brassy and orange, which obviously isn’t a cute look for summer.
Upon checking Instagram I stumbled upon Victoria’s page and instantly fell in love with her work and had to get my hair done with her. I made an appointment for a balayage/​ombré and had my appointment with Victoria yesterday, which didn’t even feel like your average hair appointment. I addressed my concerns with Victoria and how I wanted my hair and she exceeded my expectations and more. Her professionalism and super easy going personality made my hair appointment fly by and I fell back in love with my hair. I HIGHLY recommend Vicky if you’re looking for someone to transform your hair, you won’t regret it.

Vicky is one of the sweetest girl I have ever met. Once you meet her, you can straight up tell she LOVES and have a PASSION for what she does. I get really anxious when I let others play with my hair, but Vicky was so confident I easily trusted her with my hair and I’m so glad I did! I asked her for a consultation and she was more than happy to give me advice with what I should do to my hair and the price it would be! She cut and balayaged my hair, I also went for a second session to get it toned! Vicky is so amazing and talented. I definitely recommend her. :)
