Lucy is absolutely AMAZING and extremely efficient. She is very fast, with impeccable accuracy (a rare find). She’s also very sweet and accommodating. I just started going to her for my full head weaves and I feel lucky to have found her!

I got my hair done by Lucy this week in her salon. Lucy and her assistant were very easy to talk to and we had a nice time chatting while my hair was being braided. It only took them 4 hours and my braids came out looking beautiful.
Lucy operates out of a full service salon which she is part owner of. They offer thermal styling, weaves, etc., which I think I will be checking out after I take my braids out.

Lucy is the absolute best. She is the only woman I have braid my hair. Literally every time she does my hair I get tons of compliments. She’s so kind and accommodating, I won’t go to anyone else. She has gone out of her way to make me feel comfortable, super professional and personable. First time I met with her, it was like hanging out with an old friend. I give out her info constantly after girls ask about my braids. Lucy is amazing, so talented. I really would not go to anyone else.

Lucy is so funny! She’s very quick and professional. Before I came in, she told me exactly what hair to order and where to get it which was very helpful as well. My hair looks great, and I booked an appointment well in advance because she’s quite busy. She’s always booked because she does such great work! The photos and happy clients speak for themselves

So meticulous and makes sure you get exactly the style you want! Since the first time I went to Lucy two yearss ago for a blow out, i haven’t been anywhere else (only in times last minute desperation).

Lucy is amazing! Very professional and she will make sure you leave her looking your best. She actually cares about her customers hair and her work is great on top of that. I recommend every one I can to her.

My first impression of Lucy was a young black woman who came to my country in order to build her business. I’m all for women in particular of color who are here to make money so I took the liberty of referring everyone to Lucy that complimented my braids. Now here’s my complaint. I scheduled an appointment with Lucy to get braids again & was totally stood up. Initially I thought something happened to her because I notified her several times the day before my appointment for confirmation but received no response. I called & text her the day of my appointment and again received no response. I proceeded to text & call her for several days after my appointment because at this point my thoughts were that I hoped she was ok. 2 weeks go by so I asked one of my colleagues that I referred to her if they heard from Lucy. My colleague text her & guess what? She responded. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt & attempted to contact her again but received no response. Now, I’ve come to the conclusion that Lucy intentionally stood up my appointment because she never bothered to return my call or text. «What’s up with that?» My opinion of Lucy now is that she is very unprofessional and lack the required skills of communication. How dare her bite the hand that brought her business. I will definitely be spending my money elsewhere. As for those that I referred, as soon as I stumble upon another braider and I will because we all know that you can find a hair braider on every corner in L.A., I will be redirecting them to Lucy’s competition as well as others.

Recently I made the decision to go back to braids as my protective styling & was in need of a versatile beautician. And that was how I came across Lucy on Instagram. Of course I was alil skeptical because of the new experience. But from the time I inquired about her work to now I have been nothing less than satisfied. Since then she has Done my hair on 3 different occasions. Shes fast, friendly & reasonable. Complete package. Not to mention she isn’t heavy handed at all, and THAT MEANS ALOT to me.

I rcecently got my first set of box braids by Lucy and I love them. It has been almost 2 weeks and they are still neat and tight. The process took about 6 hours (quicker than what I expected) and Lucy made the process enjoyable and comfortable. She is down to earth and funny.
I highly recommend texting her for a quote and appointment rather than calling. While I was in her chair her phone was ringing off the hook and she was getting messages like crazy, she is a busy woman! But, I had no problem texting her and sending her pictures of what I wanted and what my hair currently looked like for a quote. She responded very quickly. I look forward to going to her in the future!

Amazing braids! Shes a perfectionist and her hands are frigging quick! Love her! Highly recommend Ms. Lucy! I can call any time (not during sleeping hours though lol) she’s always busy but always makes time! Make appointments ahead of time!

I loved going to Lucy and would recommend her any day! I’ve been to two other people and my braids just never turned out exactly right they were either too short or lacked braids, but Lucy managed to give me long full braids! She works very quick and is definitely enjoyable and fun to be with while getting your braids. I couldn’t be happier with the results and can’t wait to come to her again!

Lucy has been braiding my hair for about 3 years now and I have never had any complaints! I’m overly satisfied every time. My braids are always gorgeous and I get so many compliments. She also keeps it real about hair health. I have fine hair and my hair type can’t handle super heavy braids so she’s honest with me about that. Additionally, she is very professional and just overall a nice person to be around and talk to while you’re sitting there getting your hair braided for hours. No one enjoys sitting for hours with a boring or rude person right? She also braids really fast which baffles me every time because I always get super long braids. As long as I’m in LA i’ll hit up my girl Lucy :)

Lucy is awesome!!! I’ve had my hair braided by her twice now and have been extremely satisfied. She’s helpful in making suggestions on styles and she stands by her work. I’ll never go to anyone else now.

I have had my 2^nd weave job with her and is absolutely pleased. Lucy is a perfectionist. Being relatively new to getting my weave done I was concerned about ensuring that it looked as natural as possible. Being a professional woman I wanted to ensure that I adhere to corporate America yet have a little spunk on my off days. She takes pride in her skill. From the tiniest details as to ensure that my edges blends perfectly to the attention to details when braiding and laying my tracks; she is just amazing. I received a full weave with a tad bit left out to give a natural look; color and not to mention deep conditioning of my transitioning hair. Her professionalism and care is just exceptional. She books weeks in advance. Why? Because she is the best weave specialist in LA. At least in my book. I’m sure you’ll feel the same. Thanks Lucy.

My first experience with Lucy was amazing. She made my first braiding experience memorable and did such a good job. I was extremely nervous about tackling this hair style but I loved the way it came out and how beautiful it made me feel. Thank you Lucy you are the best!

Lucy is AMAZING! I’ve had many protective styles and weaves done by Lucy and I’m satisfied every single time. She’s a professional, lovely, friendly hair stylist with incredible talent. I recommend you call her ahead of time and at least inquire about an appointment. She’s very busy and is usually pretty booked so get in ahead of time! I usually do some pretty unconventional styles and Lucy has been able to give me what I envision each and every time. Highly recommended. Where is the 6^th star?!

Love love love Lucy! Been to her twice already this summer. First for box braids and now twist. She is very professional and very very very super timely. You’ll be done in no time.
My box braids were small/​medium sized and long length. All of them were very neat.
My kinky twist are medium sized and upper arm length. Very neat also.
Both appointments were super fast!

Lucy was amazing! To start the the salon is beautiful and I was asked if I wanted a water or mimosa! (Not use to this type of service at a salon) Lucy arrived on time, she told me she lives close by so she is always on time! I got weave installed with a little leave out. She braided a little too tight on the top and she gladly took it out and loosened it! She also helped me blend my natural hair with the kinky curly weave and it was perfection! She is very easy to talk to and friendly. I will def be back and I like how she does braids and trims as well. She also mentioned how her installs usual cost 220 but she has a summer time deal at 180 (still a bit pricey but I didn’t mind cuz she was awesome) parking lots on the same street, I paid 5 dollars! I love her!

Lucy’s the best !! Was looking for a great braider and I couldn’t be happier. My twist were secure but not agony and we’ve all experienced that before. She’s so sweet and down to earth with such great energy.
The best part is she is fast and will accommodate a working girls schedule. I wish I had found her years ago…

Lucy did it again! She gave me a re-​up; this time, the doctor ordered Senegalese/​rope twists in black-​to-​red-​ombré. My natural hair underneath is super healthy and grows so fast underneath my extensions. I rant and rave to everyone about her when they ask about my hair!

Lucy is amazing. She does great work. I had my hair trimmed as well as a full weave installed. Her braiding was very well done. Not too tight or loose, just perfect. I got my hair from her at a very reasonable price. The hair is nice and soft and can definitely be worn a few times. She’s very professional and takes her time. I’d recommend her to anyone.

So I just moved here for NY & was looking for a great stylist to give me box braids as a protective style & I must say Lucy nailed it! She’s so sweet & down to earth & have such a great vibe. also she doesn’t braid too too tight but just tight enough for it to look neat & last a while so ladies your edges will still be in tact after u take them out. love my braids & will def be seeing her again! :)

I absolutely LOVED getting my hair braided by Lucy! First of all, I’m a white girl so I wasn’t sure she would be able to get me the same look since my hair is different but I was BEYOND happy with how they turned out. They lasted me over two months and I so many people thought I had just gotten them put in even towards the end.
I have to say that I really appreciated the fact that Lucy doesn’t charge an obscene amount of money like other stylists had quoted me. I simply can’t afford to spend $ 400 on braids, that’s silly!
Lucy was also happy to accommodate my crazy schedule by having me come to her at 6:00pm after she had been working all day. And when it came time to take my braids out she had me come back so she could help me remove them. I was struggling with getting them out but she did it super quickly.
I just got my braids taken out a few days ago and I miss them so much so I’m going back on Monday to get them put back in! YAY!
