I’ve used Ramirez liquor a couple times over the past 5 years. The first time was a cut and dry keg rental. This last time, I ended up keeping the keg a few extra days because my friends are lightweights these days. When I hooked up the keg for a second party, I was having issues so the guys actually Facetimed me to resolve the problem. They’re amazing. A+ service !!

Ordered 2 kegs and ice for my wedding in downtown LA. Driver delivered and picked up on time and was polite and efficient. Also I received a confirmation call prior to delivery. Such a great selection of beer I would recommend them to anyone.

Best and cheapest place to get your kegs!!! Never again go to Bevmo such a rip off there and this place has such a huge variety! If you want bigger sized kegs they recommend ordering before wednesday so they can get it for you ahead of time! I got a 15 gallon Firestone Blonde keg the day before my party on a Friday with the tap rental ($ 5) for a total of $ 118 plus $ 80 deposit. I got my deposit back like two days after I returned it too so its super fast! LOVE IT! Also dont be intimated to come here like another Unilocaler stated, I’m a total white girl and I got crazy looks but I know I’m badass and I dont give a F! LOL. Everyone was friendly and the staff was helpful and coolios! They help you load your stuff if needed! ;)

This store really is boss when it comes to all your alcohol needs. Visit it, make it a field trip, try their craft beers, hell, mix n’ match them!

They had the beer I wanted. Customer service, however, was horrible. I went in to buy beer twice. The first time I paid with my friends card and besides having a salty attitude the cashier didn’t mind charging it. The second time I went in that night the cashier refused to charge the card and insisted my friend give her her ID, unfortunately she didn’t have it. She was rude so I went ahead to pay cash and she didn’t take that either. Seriously though she was a butt.

This place has everything! I came here looking to buy 110 miniature tequila bottles (as party favors). I was so overwhelmed with everything that they had, that I had to walk out with more than just the mini tequila bottles.
The staff is friendly and helpful, as well.

I accidentally came to this location instead of the big Ramirez store down the street (screw you Google navigation!!!). I found most of the beers I was looking for. The guy at the store was very helpful and friendly (hence the five stars). I would probably go to the big store again next time.

I was looking for mini bottles for a Christmas present for my boss. I couldn’t find them ANYWHERE!!! My sister mentioned going to Ramirez Liquor and thank sweet baby jesus that she did. Not only did I find what I was looking for but the customer service was outstanding! I’m not big into drinking liquor so I don’t know my way around which are the higher end brands. The lady behind the counter helped me pick out a present for my boss and he absolutely loved it!!! Will definitely come back again for all my liquor needs.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place or the lady who helped me. I was expecting a hole in the wall, craphole but was blown away when I walked in. I was looking for a particular brand of tequila and the lady checked her computer database because she didn’t recognize the name I gave her. Since she made me feel so special I, of course, bought more than what I came in for.

I have to admit, as a total gringo I was a bit apprehensive about driving over to Soto Street to check this place out. I’m really glad I did, though! The liquor store has two locations on Soto, in pretty safe areas and with their own parking areas behind the store.
This place has everything! And I mean everything! I could find rare Japanese beers, ciders of all sorts, even some of my favorite Kansas City Boulevard beer varieties, in addition to no less than 80 varieties of tequila! There were a lot of rare brands that are typically only seen south of the border, so it was amazing to see the variety. They also had quite a selection of wine and other liquors.
The ladies running the place were super friendly and very helpful. They took the time to chat with me and were incredibly patient during my selection process. They also took time to painstakingly wrap each of my items in gift bags, which turned out beautifully, and they did so cheerfully without rushing. I really appreciated the care that the workers here took.
Looking around at the workers, they were taking patrons around, even helping a little grandma buy añejo for relatives — very cute. Spanish and English spoken here! I’ll definitely be back here — prices are competitive with BevMo, and the selection is insanely diverse. What a great find in Boyle Heights! Fitting for numero 100!

Good selection of liquor but prices are not great came to get 12 bottles of Buchanan and they were only 1 cheaper than food 4 less and the beer was 2 dollars more for the 30 pk ohh and they don’t give a discount if you buy by the case it’s still the same price so I ended buying 5 bottles instead of the case :(the worst part is that I drove from lax to this place just cuz of the reviews and thinking I was gonna get a great deal

Ramirez has always been my go to place for my beer needs! I tried going to beevmo since I have heard that they have a more selection and since they are bigger they have better deals. I found that It’s not only cheaper here but also friendlier they answer any questions I have when trying out new beers since I am very always interested in trying out new beer. Hands down best place to try different types of liquor.

DRINK UP!
I scheduled delivery/​pick-​up of kegs for our party in advance. All was exactly as expected. Although they delivered the kegs earlier than scheduled, they provided extra ice to keep them cold.
These guys are dependable and reasonably priced. I will absolutely use them again.

Walked in and asked «who knows their Tequila?». Pamela hooked me up with Abandonado Extra Anejo. God Lord, it is/​was excellent…
Read in the LA times that Ramirez has over 350 varieties of tequila. ’nuff said…

Ok discovered this store by accident. I helped clean a garage and came into possession of 3 empty kegs. After a lot of call this place was the only one buying them back. So I drove down and once I walk in I could not believe it it was liquor amd beer galore… So I cashed I the kegs amd told the lady you’ll get your money back in a few minutes.
This location is a bit cramped bit they have your larger than average craft beer selection. They had more Rogue ales than bevmo or my local craft beer store. The best thing was it was at least a dollar or two cheaper than the other places I bought my beer.
The staff is friendly and helpful that is how I found out that they have a bigger store down the road (my next adventure). It’s very clean and organized, only downside is the lack of parking in the sketchy alley and the few people begging for money. I came out with two Rogue ale growllers and a six pack of anderson valley blood orange ale.

I’ve been to the pico rivera location, and tonight went to the Boyle heights location. Just like the pico spot, this one had a great beer selection. It gets docked a star due to location, and the uneasy feeling I got walking from my parking spot to the store, with vagrants holding their 40s trying to act like they weren’t drinking them on the sidewalk, along with the barred windows and the 300 lb security guard eating a frozen yogurt. Its in a sketchy area for sure, but the had some good brews, and I may come back in the daytime, but be warned, going there after dark may leave you feeling a bit scared. If you enjoy good craft brews, and you enjoy the scared feeling of wondering if you’ll make it out of the store and back to your car alive, go check it out.

I love this place. My husband and I can spend quite some time there just looking around. I love trying knew beer we have never heard of or tried. The prices are really low, but somehow we always manage to spend well over $ 100 trying knew things. If you are looking for good quality beer, I suggest you try Ramirez. If you don’t see it on the shelves, ask someone. They might have it in the back.

WHY? — Because «if its awesome, and drinkable, its in there.»
* First –Drank a life changing bottle of Mescal in Ensenada, and searched all over LA for it. Finally happened across Ramirez, and there it was, top right corner of their library shelf complete with rolling ladder. Booyah! Perfect Price, perfect sized worm in the bottle.
* Next — Devoured a Jalapeño Weed Ale in Mt. Shasta that was firey and delicious… the only store in LA to carry it… Ramirez! they had a dozen, plus several other hot-​pepper beers to investigate with my tender taste buds.
* Finally — The staff is awesome! Friendly, knowledgable, and several are «beer certified» as well– a great place to get a gift for those with a taste for consumption.
Enjoy the free parking, bulk ordering for those raging house parties, and world famous tacos… right across the street.

Great variety. I came in to buy a couple beers. Ended up leaving with 60 dollars worth of booze and some new glassware for my beers.
The spirit selection is really good as well. They have all kinds of shots here too.
This is the perfect spot to load up on beers and do some beer splitting with a partner.
The cashier girls are very nice too.

Their keg prices are really good and they are extremely helpful with parts for my Kegerator when needed.

All in all a fully over the top stocked liquor store with great staff and hard to find liquor and beer… we found a Viru Valge vodka from Estonia that we have never seen anywhere else than in Estonia… didn’t see that coming when we decided to go there!

This place is not what I expected at all. I knew they had good selection, but I was expecting a big open floor kinda like a BevMo. Instead it was small and jam packed with goodness.
It seemed a bit disorganized. Some bottles were hiding behind other bottles and not everything was labeled. I guess it’s tough to squeeze all that variety into a small place.
They’ve got some things that I couldn’t find anywhere else though, which will make it worth the drive next time. Some East coast breweries, that are hard to get, can be found here.
The staff is nice so if you don’t see something, ask. They’ve got everything inventoried in the computer.
