I’m somewhat suspicious of this Appraiser. As a previous user stated I also bought a watch at an Auction and the appraisal said Estimated Replacement Value $ 21’040.00. So far so good, but I few days later I saw the exact same watch on the same Auction site and I compared the Appraisals — Word for Word the exactly the same (excl. the Serial #), even the replcaement value. He seems to have a good scam going by just cut and paste appraisals and change a few numbers. He seems to be under contract by several Auction Houses

My wife has several appraisals done by Roger Benatar which are not only exaggerated in price, they are outright wrong. She purchased jewelry at auction that came with a Roger Benatar signed appraisal. She had each piece reappraised by a local jeweler because we questioned the validity of the work. Not only did he overestimate the size of all stones, he gave them a much higher quality rating than our local, reputable jeweler. His appraisals appear to be done hastily, and with minimal effort. There is no date, no appraisal number, no price of gold at the time of the appraisal, and no assessment of individual stones. One ring he appraised showed a total diamond weight of .72ct. The actual weight is .43. He graded the diamonds at SI1-​SI2. They are actually I1! He underestimated the main stone’s weight, and gave an incorrect measurement of the entire piece. Despite all the errors and exaggerations, he priced the ring nearly $ 2K (or almost 40%) higher than the appraisal we had done. I wouldn’t trust this guy to appraise a hunk of silver. If you can’t trust his appraisals, how can you trust what he’s selling you? I could understand shoddy work now and again, but he’s supposed to be a GIA Graduate Gemologist. I think not. If you’ve purchased or had appraisals done by this guy, I’d really consider a second opinion.

I give him 10 stars. I finally ended my months long search for my wedding ring after I arrived at his shop. He is a high quality designer with downtown prices. His jewerly is affordable, but his designs are very classy and unique.
He is also very laidback and relaxed unlike many jewelers who are so pushy.

I purchased a cushion cut rose quartz ring. I love the graceful sculptural simplicity of Roger’s designs. You see the same stylish aesthetic at high-​end department stores. If you want a piece that is on-​trend but you want to invest in quality jewelry, I recommend this jeweler.
Roger is very pleasant to deal with. No hard sell. He is proud of his creations, as he should be. He makes every piece; it is obvious nothing is cheaply mass-​produced. After purchase and sizing my ring, he kindly met me at a convenient location to deliver it.
His pricing is reasonable. For a little more than what department stores charge for trendy designer costume jewelry, shop at Roger Benatar for the real thing.

A friend recommended this store to me a few years ago. Well since I met the french owner I had a few things made like a rosequartz ring, ring with diamond charm, beautiful saphire earrings with diamond halo… I also purchased a pair of topaz earrings and necklace and must say my sister is thrilled with them… and just to continue how great Roger’s work is I am in the process of creating a very special aniversary band! No one else will have it just me and I am delighted! Bravo Roger!!!

Based on a review I read here, I set out to downtown to look at Roger’s jewelry. Before I left home, I had the addresses of a few other places I wanted to check from visiting their websites. There was no need for it. Roger was extremely nice in helping me find a pair of earrings within my budget (ok, a few bucks off, but not much and it was worth it). His design is fresh and elegant, and he also takes requests if you have something in mind. Next time I need to shop for jewelry, I’m dropping by his booth again.

This young man is a gemologist by trade but a true designer by heart. Born in Casablanca and raised in Paris, this man has style. He’s modest and doesn’t like to have to «sell» his jewelry but is so passionate about his creations, that you can’t help getting all swept up with him and end up buying the beautiful stylish gem.
He sells most of his stuff to high end stores like Nordstroms, etc. He’s so fun to meet cause he’ll tell you everything there is to know about a particular gem and cut. Wow. I bought these gorgeous Citrine & Diamond Earrings last time I went. See picture.
Watch out for those enchanting cocktail rings. So sparkling gorgeous. I’ve already recommended him to anyone that will listen to me, so go quick before he’s out of stock. Enjoy this one, Ladies.
