Referred by a friend. Called the office at @ 12:30 pm. My lock problem was diagnosed and fixed by 5 pm. Excellent customer service and fair pricing. Will use them again if needed and would certainly refer a friend.

Our Friday night is totally saved by Mikes, the amazing guy from Secure LA lock&Safe. Our bathroom door is locked and we tried hard to remove that but failed. Then Mike came in 20 minutes and open the door for us in seconds. We are fascinated by his professional and patient attitude. He is a very nice guy. Next time if we unfortunately get in trouble again, we will definitely try this company again!

Nick installed 3 door locks for us, 2 of which required creative solutions. He made sure that the locks were practical and blended in with our doors. Nick also did a great job of explaining the benefits/​drawbacks of different types of locks. All for a very reasonable price.
This was our second time using Secure LA. They installed a garage deadbolt about a year ago that has held up really well.
I highly recommend Nick and Secure LA.

It’s always stressful when you lock yourself out (duh). In the process of moving and grabbed the wrong set of keys! I called Nick and he was busy on another job so he sent another worker. The worker got lost and kept calling me to see where I was located. When I tried to give him directions initially, he continued to talk over me. Once he arrived 45 minutes later, he picked the lock and ruined the outside of the existing lock. It took him 30 minutes to pick the lock, and his work was sloppy at best. He continually argued with me, saying I said I would pay cash when I was locked out of my house! He then started to degrade my former locksmith (who I couldn’t reach because I was locked out) saying «he charged you $ 75 dollars to install this deadbolt and gave you 2 keys? THAT’S TOO EXPENSIVE!» When in fact, he was charging me $ 75 to simply pick a lock and use no materials whatsoever. I highly recommend you find another locksmith. On a rating of 1 to 5, I give him a –1.

Great Service!!! Got locked out of my apartment doing laundry, Nick showed up rather quickly and had me back in my apt in about 5 minutes!

Dude was awesome! Accidentally locked my self out of my apartment, he was here in less than 10 minutes and picked the lock in less than 10 seconds (no joke). Price was a bit steep but considering it was the middle of the night and he was so quick and pleasant, it was definitely worth it. He even tightened my loose-​ass door knob when he was done. Super nice guy!

We had several wooden filing cabinets in our office that we had inherited that did not lock. I called the previous day and spoke with Stephanie who had me take a picture and email it to her (brilliant idea). She was on point. Nick came out he was on time, pleasant and FAST! It was a very efficient experience. We had quoted some of the other top locksmith’s in our area and Secure LA Lock & Safe also came in lower than the rest.

Great! We called to get one of our locks re-keyed…price was higher on a weekend so we asked for our locks to be re keyed on a weekday.
Our locksmith Ernesto good and efficient. Really nice and offered the mechanics of how rekeying worked. He rekeyed our door and gave us FIVE spare keys. Awesome! Total price was $ 65.
Am definitely recommending Ernesto for anyone else looking to rekey their doors. Great service!

So, I locked myself out of a clients house today with their dogs inside. I called Secure LA and they told me it would be about an hour. 10 minutes later Chris was within a few minutes. Chris was awesome! He was super friendly, professional and had the door open within minutes. He was able to look through a sliver of a window and see what kind of key it was, I stupidly put the keys in the lock thinking it was the outside, instead it was the inside lock:(he made a «copy» of they key and the door opened! I was thrilled and my clients were quite happy as well. If you need a locksmith you should call these guys. They are truly wonderful!

After walking my dog in the morning (a few days ago), I realized I didn’t have my keys… and my husband wasn’t coming back for hours… and our building manager didn’t have a spare key… and our management/​owners didn’t care about me being locked out. Awesome way to start a morning, BTW.
Thankfully I had my phone and was able to do a quick Unilocal search and found Secure LA. The reviews don’t really talk about them fixing lock outs, but I figured I’d try and gave them a call. It was around 8am and I was afraid no one would answer (you know, business hours and all) but thankfully, Nick did! He said he could be there in about an hour (~9:15) and that it would be $ 75. I wasn’t thrilled about the wait or the cost, but honestly, what else could I do?
I’m glad I called Nick, though, because he showed up right on time (after calling to tell me he was on his way, then that he was outside) and got right to work. He didn’t have his full lock-​picking kit on him, so another guy Ernesto joined shortly after. Nick wasn’t able to pick the lock initially (using his mini-​set of tools) but then neither was Ernesto, even with more tools.
After traditional lock picking didn’t work, they then tried a few other things… something with a piece of paper (?) along the door crevice… then banging a key into the key hole trying to get it to move… I’m not exactly sure what they were doing, but they tried a lot of things for ~30 minutes and at that point, Nick said they had to just take off the door knob entirely and would replace it for $ 25.
NOTE: Nick said that usually they can pick most doors within 5 – 10 minutes… but something about my lock made it really different and difficult. I was a little disappointed that they weren’t able to pick my lock (so you know, I could eat breakfast, feed my dog, go to work…) but at the same time, strangely relieved to know the lock was so secure.
I actually needed a few key copies anyway, so they did that in their van while Nick «rang me up» (wrote an invoice and took my check). Total cost: $ 110 for the lock out, new door knob, and 4 key copies. More than I had expected to spend that morning (considering I shouldn’t have forgotten my key and gotten locked out in the first place) but all things considered, really friendly service, quick to come to my rescue, and they got the job done and I was on my way to work by around 10:15.
Lesson #1: Don’t get locked out.
Lesson #2: If you do get locked out, call Nick.

Great service, economic, fast and honest. I totally recommend them. They fixed my car lock and gave me brand new keys for free.
If you have any problem with your locks don’t think about it and call these guys. You won’t regret it.

I had Secure LA come out and re-​key my condo a couple months ago. They were prompt, knowledgeable, and affordable. But somehow, my lock stopped working and I couldn’t keep my place secure. Of course I’m going to call the locksmith to see if they know what might have happened. Nick promptly contacted a bunch of his colleagues and the lock manufacturer, and figured out the solution without costing me anything. That in my opinion is true professionalism.

I contacted Secure LA for new locks and Nick had me send him pictures via email of the doors I needed new locks on. When he arrived he had all the hardware, cylinders and duplicate keys ready. He quickly installed the new locks and security devices and everything looks and work great. I would use them again.

I was helped 10÷8÷10. The service and cost was excellent.
I would use them again and I recommend them to everyone. I spoke to Nick briefly the night before at 9pm and as it was not a rush, we arranged to speak the next morning. He promptly called at the arranged morning time. He gave me a quote as I need to re-​key my house with 5+ cylinders. I looked around and I was about to go with another. Nick followed up with me and said he would match any competitor’s price. I really appreciate a company that wants my business. The total cost of the job was well priced.
The service was quick and Nick changed the locks and cut a number of keys in no time. The communication was excellent. He let me know he was running a few minutes late from his previous job and there was a mis-​communication on the directions so I was never left wondering. The timing matched my needs perfectly as I wasn’t going anywhere.
Nick did arrived in a nice company van (as mentioned in prior review) with all his gear. He gave me a helpful tip that the doors in LA can shift so the lock could stick in the future and I could play with the door or he could fix that if it happened. FYI, their website has a half dozen numbers and one of them I tried didn’t work.
If you need a great LA/​Westside locksmith, call them.

These guys are fantastic. Steve is the greatest. He’s smart, honest and he’ll make sure you get the best bang for your buck. He came back on a Saturday on his own volition to try to save ME money on rekeying all the locks in my house. Couldn’t recommend him enough.
*Update* Steve disappeared. Ha! Serves me right for going on a first impression. Left me with five broken locks. Called the company to get him to come back. Turns out they fired him. Called Steve’s cell. He disconnected it. Company offered to come fix the locks, but I was outside their coverage area so I’d have to pay.

Called in to the 800 number and Nick gave me a call just a few minutes later. Greg then got in touch with me at the store to let me know when a tech was there to help me, and had me come in. It only took about 10 or 15min to finish, and they were all really cool. They quoted me $ 20 per lock to rekey, then gave me a discount; maybe for Unilocal,maybe for bringing in so many keys, I don’t know. Frankly, I don’t care! They’re located off of Venice next to a building called the Brazilian mall. It’s directly across the street from Café Brasil. Go see them. I saw they have a van too.

I tried all day to get a better deal on a simple two lock reinstall. Yellowpages, Internet, and was handed prices that were scary high. Finally, a ta-​da moment and I checked Unilocal!First one listed with only rave reviews, called Secure LA Lock and spoke with Nick. He had his field guy jump an appointment before mine and see me within a short time. Steve showed up, very nice, got to it and did a great job. I feel like the house is safer and the price was in the middle of all of the quotes so I was happy.
I will call them again!

Amazing company with professionalism written all over it. I broke my key clean in half on Saturday night after trying to lock my car door (apparently was unaware of my own strengths). I got a key made from the keymaker across the street from me which sort of opened the car door but did not fit in the ignition AT all.
I Unilocaled around and Secure LA Lock & Safe came right up. After checking the reviews, I gave them a call. An appointment was made, and Mike showed up. I gave him my key and he set to work.
Unfortunately, the keyhole was so worn down he ended up having to take off the door panel to remove it, and also removed the one from the trunk. My new key looks NOTHING like my old one. He literally had to make one from scratch according to the lock that had been so terribly worn down from the inside. Basically made me a brand new custom key.
He was here from 1:30pm and literally just left right now. Just in case you wanted to know what time it is now, it’s currently 5:12.
When I came outside after a few hours to see if he needed anything, I apologized for the mess of having to take out the locks and he replied «That’s what we’re here for.» Completely reassuring! I was more than happy to pay for the service which was inexpensive to me.
I now have a working key, and if I ever need to get anything re-​keyed I will not hesitate to call. HIGHLY recommended! Thank you again, Mike!

Competency in this city sometimes disappoints me. After calling 5 or so locksmiths to get a quote I stumbled upon Nick. Bells went off in my head, I got light headed from excitement because I knew I found a professional. Our intern later teased me about how happy I was. Yeah, I’m a dork, so what?
Our ignition cylinder in our Ford Focus decided it didn’t like us anymore (very common Ford problem… jerks.)…it’s an expensive thing to fix so I wanted to find someone I knew would do it right. And I did.
I spoke with Nick, made an appointment and he rolled in and took care of the problem quickly and professionally. I am putting his number in my cell and keeping it there. I suggest you do the same.
