Recently, I got a Brazilian blowout for a trip to Cancun. It saved me from the humidity! I went out to dinner with my hair straightened & by the end of the night my hair was still straight with no frizz! By far the best decision I’ve made!

i love this little hidden gem!!! i was referred here by my friend brittany to recover my balayage and let me tell you … gilian to the rescue! i have super coarse asian hair and gilian knew exactly how to manage my crazy mane. i am coming back in a month to go even lighter. gilian took time to listen to what i wanted and i felt comfortable in her chair. i love my hair super long so she made sure to keep it the length i wanted and was honest when she needed to be. i am not going anywhere else going forward! i recommend gilian’s talent — you won’t leave disappointed !

I decided to join the Mermaid Bar Academy fresh out of beauty school because I was looking to learn as much as I could, in an expedited amount of time. Remie has been in the business longer than most and it shows. The way she explains the «how-to’s» and the «whys» made it easy for a new stylist to understand. I finished the Mermaid program in 6 months and built my clientele while doing so. Remie had me bring in models as often as I could and would slowly help me less and less until I was able to do a whole model on my own. This was the best decision I have made and I owe it all to her. I now have a steady clientele and own my own business. Definitely recommend over a dated, drawn out assistant program!

The Mermaid Bar is completely amazing! Remie is an amazing stylist with so much skill. She has done serious wonders for my hair. (I went to her for the first time with fried ugly orange hair). I have been going to Remie for the past 2 yrs and we have gone from Purple to Gray to Blonde to Blue… She is just so skillful and knowledgeable and extremely patient. I tend to get very chatty and i constantly have a ton of questions which she always answers with out hesitation! Location is easy to find and there is always parking out back. Love it!

Both Remie and Gillian are AMAZING at what they do! I searched far and wide for artists that would be able to deliver what I asked for. Experts in color and cuts, you will not be disappointed. I have definitely been made a customer for life.

I want to start off by saying I am in love with my hair! It was my first time meeting Remie & she was super chill! I love her vibe and I trusted her with me hair. She took the time to explain to me what she was doing & even taught me a few tricks about styling my hair ;). The 3 ½ hours that I was there literally flew blew by. Both Gilian and Remie are the best hairstylists anyone can ever ask for. They’re both really friendly and makes your visit much more fun. I am usually undecisive on what to do with my hair and Gilian gives really great advice and she turns them into reality. I’ve always wanted to try something new and fun with my hair, and I am not afraid to go to her to experience new things for my hair.
