Our focus is on both each child’s individual growth cognitively, socially, emotionally and physically and on creating a family oriented community. Our program provides the educational building blocks that help children enjoy the school experience while preparing them to successfully move on to any Kindergarten program.

History

Established in 1988.

Founding Director Wendy Cummings and a dedicated group of teachers and parents founded The Sherman Oaks Nursery School on our present site in 1988 as a private, non-​profit educational organization. We operate on a non-​discriminatory basis, according equal treatment and access to services without regard to race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry.

Meet the Manager

Kathy H.

Manager

Kathy Hilton has been the Director since the early 90’s. She has over 30 years of experience in early childhood education. She has taught all the different ages at the school and is an excellent resource for teachers and parents. Her expertise and involvement in all areas of the program uniquely qualify her to direct and oversee all aspects of the school. She works closely with each teaching team. Kathy embraces TSONS philosophy of being a true partner with parents on this thrilling, exhausting, exciting and challenging ride we call parenting. Her door is always open!
