Dr Andrew Lan

Dr Lan is an amazing doctor (polite, caring, profesional, attentive, etc) everything you’d want in a doctor. He takes the time to answer every question you have no judgement passed. I appreciated all the sound advice and follow up phone calls I received when my Child Was sick.

I can’t thank Dr. Lan enough. I’m grateful that Dr. Lan is educated on all matters pediatric, and not just medically oriented applications. My husband and I were struggling to get our four year old son to sleep. He’d conquered the «difficult to fall asleep» hurdle when he was three and was doing just fine for awhile. Then, something triggered him, and it became very difficult for him to get rest, either on account of not being able to fall asleep, or from waking up several times during the night after falling to sleep. Dr. Lan gave us some practical and easy steps to take with our son and he’s been doing great ever since.
We also were beginning to notice some dishonesty in our son. We began to panic, wondering what we were doing wrong. He provided us with some literature that helped us to realize this is age appropriate and developmental. Again, he always seems to have the answers, and we can’t thank him enough.
Thank you, Dr. Lan, for your Stanford education, years of experience, and for bringing all your tricks and wisdom to bear when treating your patients and educating their parents.

Great pediatrician. We’ve been seeing Dr. Lan for about 3 months now, recommendation from our OB, and we’re really very pleased with the attention we’re getting both from Dr. Lan and his assistant Georgia. The delivery staff at the hospital also gave a big thumbs up on the selection, saying he’s one of the best they see. Lots of very personalized attention in the hospital, took however long needed to answer our questions, easy to get appointments, flexible with re-​schedules, prompt at answering non urgent questions via email, etc. Overall, so far, a great experience.

Lately, they are not giving appointments soon enough. they seem too busy. This is causing delayed diagnosis of issues which could be easily resolved if checked early on. I would like to see improvement with their appointment schedules and preventive cure.

I have been wanting to write this review for a long time and our lives have been pretty crazy and hence the delay.
Dr. Lan and his team have been our PD for our premie babies for the last 10+ months. Their service and attention to detail has been excellent. Dr. Lan is very patient and really cares for the well being for the child. He has gone the extra mile for our child on multiple occasions and I would not hesitate to pick him as our PD again.
Also a special word on his nurse Georgia, she is a gem. Has been very helpful with our scheduling and also our formula needs etc etc.
I am extremely glad that we picked Dr. Lan and his team and so will you.

very gentle with babies, kids and parents. soft spoken doctor. i work at local hosp in ER. I have a lot of interaction with most of the Pediatrician in the area. And, when I had my 1^st baby — first thing it went into my mind was Dr Andrew Lan. SMART, NICE and VERY PROFESSIONAL.

We brought our daughter to see Dr Lan beginning at her first week of life and have found him to be a knowledgeable and compassionate pediatrician. There were some things we didn’t always agree on (cosleeping as an example) but he was never forceful with a particular agenda. The office is very child friendly and professional.

Dr. Lan was our Dr. for 3 years before we moved. He is by far the best Dr. we have ever had. He is very kind and compassionate. The appointment wait times are generally fairly quick. Both Michelle and Georgia (his assistants) are very responsive and accommodating. They always make sure they can set our appointments so that Dr. Lan can see all three children at once. Dr. Lan always takes his time to answer all of our questions. He also often asks about my older son even if he is not at the office. All of my children love him and feel extremely comfortable in his care.

Dr. Lan has been my 4 year old grandson’s pediatrician since birth. Over the last four years he has been kind, compassionate, caring, thoughtful, intelligent — hmmmm, what other adjectives can I use? :) Suffice to say that we all love Dr. Lan and have chosen (or not chosen) insurance based on whether they have Dr. Lan in their network!
My grandson loves him too and runs up to hug him whenever we visit his office!

I read the review about immunizations and Dr Lan and must say my experience was very different.
I to was concerned about the link with autism and immunizations, to many immunizations in such a short period of time, the mercury preservative issue and asked Dr Lan about this. He stated that when scientific evidence is overwhelmingly for or against a particular strategy that his job is to let parents know how to keep their kids healthy. His opinion along with the RAMBLC group was to get timely immunizations and he gave me the rationale as to why they felt it was necessary. He sounded as though he had looked into it thoroughly as he quoted more than a few different studies the pros and cons.
He also brought up the fact that what if a non vaccinated child sitting in the waiting room had measles and they were sitting next to a newborn or infant. He said his job was to keep all children safe and healthy.
The papers that were signed probably had to do with being informed of the possible dangers of not immunizing your children on the accepted time line and that you were aware of the dangers. In this litigious society it’s pretty standard to have to sign something to that effect.
I found my conversation with Dr Lan to be very informative and respectful. Unfortunately, I’ve had to deal with a lot of doctors and I feel Dr Lan has my children’s absolute best interest at heart. I highly recommend him!

We had dr Lan by quite an accident, our infant son was sick, and my husband just got a new insurance provider, so we just scrambled around to any doctor that was willing to see us just a few minutes before 5pm.
We got dr Andrew Lan. That was 5 years ago.
We send our younger daughter to dr Lan as well.
Dr Lan is very knowledgeable, very good at listening, gives us good advices, and very patient with our kids. He follows up my kids’ problems and makes sure the problems are gone.
His staffs (Georgia, Michelle) are very nice and accommodative. It’s always easy to make appointments, especially for a sick kid.
The waiting room is big and clean and has a very interesting sculpture (our kids love it), there’s enough separation between sick and healthy kids.
The waiting time is always short, 10 minutes is the longest.
Five stars!

WE LOVE DR. LAN!
I have gone through a lot of bad doctors and I was determined not to make the same mistake with my infant daughter. I can not be more pleased with Dr. Lan and the staff at Ramblic. He takes his time and is very well read and knowledgeable. He really cares about his patients and asks all the right questions. He speaks in non doctor language so it is easy for me to understand. He will answer any question no matter how «dumb» it may be. I never have a problem getting in and love that aspect about Dr. Lan and Ramblic. I could not recommend a doctor more highly than Dr. Lan. My daughter and my nephew both go and I have recommended him to other friends with children.
I could go on and on but basically I could not speak more highly about a doctor.
Also the office is really CLEAN! Which is awesome!

Dr. Lan is my daughters pediatrician, and I couldn’t ask for anyone else. He’s very personable when he’s with us and answers all questions. He never seems like he’s in a rush, and he’s highly intelligent. He has the perfect demeanor for kids and is all around great.
The same goes for the staff their as well. Never a bad experience. They even apologize when they have to give the little one her shots, but I always say give her more.

Dr. Lan has been my son’s pediatrician right from the beginning and we LOVE him! He spends alot of time answering your questions and giving advice. He will never make you feel dumb or stupid. I can not say enough GREAT and WONDERFUL things about Dr. Lan. He also has an awesome staff that helps over the phone!

I have nothing negative to say about Dr. Lan except that sometimes we have to wait longer then I would like on appt. days. I dont know of any office where this can be avoided. He is a very gentle, sensible doctor who always takes the time to explain, in detail, the answers to our questions. Because of persistent health issues with my child, I am in the office ALL the time and each time am happy with the info he has provided me. He is very good with all ages too, as far as I have observed.

He always has a happy demeanor and takes the time to answer all of your questions thoroughly. After being with another pediatrician who seemed irritated with our questions and told us he only gets «15 minutes» for each patient visit, I am glad we found Dr. Lan.

We have tried two other Pediatricians before Dr. Lan and we were impressed at how thorough he is in answering our questions and how gentle and patient he was throughout the visit. We are glad that we were picky with who to have as our child’s pediatrician and most importantly that we didn’t settle until we found Dr. Lan!
