Her practice consists of oral surgery procedures, including but not limited to, removal of impacted teeth, dental implants, oral pathology, trauma, and facial reconstruction. Dr. Townsend does not treat TMJ.

Dr. Townsend is the third owner of an oral surgery practice that began in 1969. She purchased the practice in December, 2008, after being on staff with Kaiser Permanante, Santa Clara, for three years.

Business Owner
A University of the Pacific Dental School graduate, class of 1983, Dr. Townsend had a 23 year Air Force career, retiring as a Colonel in 2005. Her last assignment was at Travis AFB, CA, where she was the Director of the United States Air Force Oral Surgery Training Program. She transitioned to Kaiser Permanente for 3 years until going into private practice in 2008.
