Dr. Bobis is nice, friendly and gives the attention, but, is a bit slow. I don’t mean stupid, but, almost too passive. Will request the blood work, reffer you if needed, But, for me, what made me leave after seeing him a few times is, you always get an answering machine at the office. And then if you are lucky, maybe his will call you back. I simply can’t rely on the this method. I am looking for a doctor that I can get in when I need to. And not so passive.

My entire family has been going to Dr. Bobis for over 20+ years. He is an excellent doctor and always takes the time to listen thoroughly and he will try many different approaches to whatever problem you are having (as needed). He is very supportive and caring and has always taken very good care of us. He has also referred me to a number of specialists and other doctors that have also been wonderful.

Dr. Bobis is great! I’ve been going to him since 2003. My gynecologist recommended him as a general doctor. Dr. Bobis is very kind and caring. A good listener. When I’m not feeling like myself, he’s more than happy to run the appropriate blood tests to rule out anything abnormal. Like Terry H. said, he’s very thorough when he does the physical exam. And he was very supportive when I decided to move to vegan diet, even requesting a special blood test to keep an eye on my B-​12 levels. He also doesn’t over-​treat or over-​prescribe when you’re ill, which is totally in line with my approach to wellness. I’m really glad he’s my doctor.
You may have to wait to get an appointment for a general physical, so book soon. If you need more immediate care for an illness, I believe Dr. Bobis only sees current patients, not new patients. So it’s key to establish yourself as a patient when you’re not ill.

I have had several doctors over my life, some good, some average and some downright bad, but I have never had a great doctor until I found Dr. Bobis.
I shouldn’t say that I found him, my aunt actually found him, then referred him to my Mom and she referred me to him. And I am so glad that she did because Dr Bobis is one fantastic, caring doctor. He does the most thorough physical exam that I have ever had, he listens to my questions and asks great questions.
He is also not one of those cold, know-​it-​all doctors that are just looking to shuffle you out of the office like an assembly line. If you have a problem and are worried about it, he will stay with you until your fears are quieted and if he doesn’t know something, he will refer you to a specialist.
If you are looking for a great doctor in Los Gatos, make an appointment with Dr. Bobis. You will be glad you did and you won’t switch doctors after you have found him and met him. He’s terrific. And he is a doctor’s doctor which means he knows everybody. I have gone to other specialists and they all say Dr Bobis is a GREAT g.p., they either go to him personally or send their family members to him. Doctors KNOW doctors, who is good and who is bad. So do nurses.
Anyway, it is hard to get into see him because he is cutting back on his practice due to what is happening with healthcare plus he wants to spend more time with his family but a referral might get you in. Good luck …
