The selection here is limited to ephemeral knick-​knacks, so if that’s your thing you will love it. I thought it was a bit overpriced too.
Could use some extra curation in selection, felt a little like an estate sale rather than a store.

This is a neat little store hidden away behind Carmichael’s Book store. They sell all kinds of antiques from old radio knobs to ummm… Dare I say, old condom dispensers? The only problem I had was moving around in this place and that was pretty much it. If you’re looking for old stuff to collect then I recommend giving this place a try. The lady running the store also seemed very nice and (unlike some antique store owners) she didn’t follow any of her customers around acting like they were going to steal something. She just treated people normally which makes people (especially me) want to come back.

I dropped in here looking for antique furniture and this is a cute little shop full of knick-​knacks and small antiques but no furniture to speak of. They have a fairly good selection of jewelry and there was a rack of books in the back. They have lots of small antiques. It was a fairly cluttered collection of old antiques and the kind of shop serious small item «antiquers» would love. It’s on the small side but is a great place to wander trough on a lazy Saturday!

I have purchased many items from Cathy and sold or traded with her a couple times. A year an a half ago I consigned a light fixture at the Trading Post. Recently she sent me a private message asking me to pick it up because she didn’t have room for it. I agreed to pick it up. Five days went bye and I did forget her request as it had been there closer to 18 months. She sent me another message telling me that if I didn’t pick it up bye Tuesday she was taking it to the Goodwill. I apologized and told her I did forget but I was out of town and could get it till later in the week. I picked it up on Wednesday and noticed that two of the glass globes were broke. She wasn’t there so I sent her a message telling her I had picked it up but it was broken. Her response was SO UNFORTUNATE. I waited for another response. I sent her another response stating again the damage. She responded by cussing me out and calling me names with explicit cuss words. I was actually shocked and inquired why she would say that to me. She responded once more with more cuss words using genitals cuss word as a name for me. She has always been rude and short. I just figured she had a story of hardship and stress associated with her business. I never took it personal. Cathy’s choice of words and admittedly that she broke my light but would not replace it is not how you do business. I have saved the messages but they are to vulgar to post. I wouldn’t recommend her to anymore. Further more she doesn’t have many antiques as most are odd yard sale finds that are over priced but unique. Her store is mostly cluttered junk but interesting to look at.

My favorite little store chalked full of affordable treasures. I used to live in crescent hill and my frequent visits to CHTC are one of the things I miss most about moving. Over the years I have bought:
An enormous Tobacco basket
brooches galore
Scarves
A lime green bust of Brahms (cause, why not?)
An incredible dish that says «this is my house, I’ll do as I darn please»
My nightstand (for $ 5!!!)
China for my friend’s wedding
I love this little store so much! I always find a treasure that won’t break the bank.
I will say– something they burn in there… candle? Incense? Is crazy strong. My mom can’t stay in the store more than 3 seconds, cause the smell makes her sick to her stomach.

Do you love antiques and hate clutter? It’s safe to say that This will be your new favorite store!
What I love most about Crescent Hill Trading Co. Is how easily patrons can walk through the store and see all the merchandise thoughtfully arranged. Owners are friendly, not pushy, and allow you to browse with ease.
During warmer days they open up the storefront so that there is tons of light. It’s fabulous for a pitstop or for a full-​on hunt

Crescent Hill Trading Company is a treasure full of treasures. I find great prices on furniture, antiques, decorations and jewelry of all sorts. I guarantee once you visit you’ll find yourself addicted.

I’m amazed… a travel book from the 1930s, a personal beer fridge, antique jewelry. The best find isn’t just the collectibles but the warm hospitality shown to all shoppers by Kathy, the proprietor.
