Specialties
At Mussel and Burger Bar we specialize at adding gourmet qualities to familiar menu staples. Using flavor combinations of always fresh locally supplied products, and refined, foreign, imported products there are no gimmicks on our menu. The menu has been well thought out, and each item has it’s own unique flavor profile created and assembled by our Chef Owners Fernando and Yaniel Martinez, and our pastry Chef Christian Cobos. They studied culinary arts all over the world, and still spend countless hours perfecting their craft. The results are remarkable. We are so honored and happy to be a part of Louisville’s food scene, and hope you like it!
History
Established in 2015.
We opened in Downtown Louisville October 12th, 2015.
Meet the Manager
Nathan E.
Manager
In 2014, Nathan joined our staff, first as a waiter at the original Mussel and Burger Bar. «At that time, I already had goals to move up to management. I remember being very anxious for my opportunity.» In the summer of 2015 he was given that opportunity, and became a Manager at Mussel and Burger Bar. When it comes to service, Nathan makes guest satisfaction the number one priority; second, is the happiness his staff. «Those two things are so closely tied together in the foundation of our guests’ experience.» It wasn’t long before he was asked to take the role of General Manager and open the new location of Mussel and Burger Bar in Downtown Louisville. «I feel like there’s always something new I can learn and apply. Every day I just feel like I need to find the ‘something new’. I don’t believe every job grants this sensation. It’s my favorite part of this business.»
