Not customer friendly. Stopped by one evening prior to closing time to find doors locked. Clerk opened door to let us in. While ringing up our 4 items he was singing along to the Irish drinking song he had playing. A leash rang up incorrectly and he repeatedly said he had no idea of what the Michigan scanner law was. Fortunately he knew enough to phone his boss for instructions. Next he rang up the same leash 2x. Upon seeing the total he said «how did I f*** up?» No thanks or sorry was ever said. Too much hassle for what should have been easy. I like to support small/​local merchants, but won’t be back.

I was excited when this place opened as I figured it would be nice having a pet store only 30 seconds from my house. We took our dogs there for a haircut a few weeks after they opened. We were told $ 30 per dog over the phone and then were charged $ 10 more per dog after they were done and were told that they would never do a haircut for $ 30 a dog. Mind you I have 2 small dogs, we are not talking labs here. The small room that they were doing haircuts in was also very small, crates stacked on top of each other with dogs in them, and then the woman had her, maybe 6 year old, daughter in there at the same time. One of our dogs ended up having razor burn on her chest, thankfully not badly so no Vet visit was needed, but we definitely will not be going back for haircuts.
They have a pretty small selection of food, toys, accessories too and they were kind of overpriced for what you could get things for at PetSmart or Pet Supplies Plus.
Very Disappointing that they didn’t end up being better.

Three Strikes and you’re out!
Unprofessional, irresponsible, unorganized, and most likely due to poor management. First pair of dog groomers were horrid — they didn’t last long. I actually told the woman if she wanted to be successful she would need to learn people and pet skills. The dogs weren’t groomed well — I did a lot of trimming myself at home. Well, they got a new groomer and she seemed a bit better, but still, I had to tell her that my dogs did much better when they were greeted with some amount of enthusiasm. Really, if you can’t greet dogs why are you working in the industry!!! So today, I’ll admit, half my bad. I couldn’t get an appointment before I went on vacation so I had it set for today. My plane was late, etc. Anyway, I thought the appointments for my two dogs were at 10 am and 11 am. But, alas, they were at 9am and 10am. Girl said she could only do one dog. I asked why she didn’t call — I live 75 seconds away from the shop. She gave me a lame excuse about her ‘weekend’ being Tues and Wed and when she arrive she asked around if anybody called me and nobody knew! WTH! She sat in the shop for one hour and didn’t think she should call me — really? Oh, well, like I said, three strikes, you’re out. And I’m being gracious. My girlfriend took her dog there only once for grooming and said never again; most overpaid for poor grooming her dog ever had.

It’s about time a pet store is around here! I used to have to drive to Hall and 53 or Gratiot and 23 to get our dog food before. (Not like its forever away but in rush hour its about 15−20mins).
This store has quality food and toys for pets. We used to buy our pet food on Amazon because they were the cheapest. We get it for only $ 1 more here and I’m ok with that to support a local business!
Every time I have been here staff has been very knowledgeable and helpful with products and food. They also host adoptions with rescues sometimes and take donations/​goods for rescues.
Our new go-​to pet store for food and toys!
