History

Established in 1996.

Out-​U-​Go! started way, way back in 1996. For those of you who don’t remember, this was the year Oprah started her book club, the Spice Girls had a #1 hit, and fax machines and pagers ruled the world of technology.

By putting one paw in front of the other every day since 1996, we have gotten better and better at providing the «Awesome Pet Care» we set out to provide. After more than 1,000,000 total visits, we’re like a fine wine… getting better with age.

Our first new endeavor was to the far, far West suburbs of Chicago (actually, to Denver). Since then, we have continued expanding nationally, including our newest location in Madison, Wisconsin.

Wisconsin native Lisa (pictured here with her own dog, Finn) is an outdoor enthusiast and long-​time donor and volunteer for the Humane Society. With an MBA from Edgewood College, Lisa has spent 15 years in senior level positions with U. S .Cellular, where she concentrated on creating superior customer experiences.

Lisa and her furry buddy Finn are the Top Dogs of Out-​U-​Go! Madison. They bring a tremendous passion for awesome pet care to all the furry family members of the Madison area.

We have been using Out You Go since we both took new jobs in Madison and started to travel more. Cant recommend them enough. Very convenient scheduling via the web site and great communication. No problem with last minute bookings or coverage over holidays.

First-​time customer, and only needed one visit, but I’ll definitely use them again. Very polite and professional, and while my dog is a bit of a chicken around strangers, he apparently hit it off just fine with Lisa.
This is a great piece of mind for long days in the office and a reasonable cost for the service.

I just got home today from a 10-​day trip out-​of-​state. During my time away, my two cats were taken care of by several Out-​U-​Go sitters and everything went really well! Not only did they leave notes on how the cats got on for me to read when I got back, I also got text updates and pics while I was away. The staff were so kind! I can tell the cats were really well taken care of. I will definitely be booking Out-​U-​Go sitters to cat-​sit during my next vacation. Thank you so much for your great service! (Also, thank you for watering the plants and bringing in my mail… y’all rock!)

I cannot say enough good things about my experiences with OutUGo! They are easy to work with. Scheduling appointments is a breeze and you get confirmations very quickly! They leave cute «report cards» for you to read about how the visit went with your pet. You get a feeling that the employees really enjoy what they’re doing and care about your pet’s well being. This is paramount to me! Unfortunately, we’re moving away from the area. Otherwise, we’d be using outugo’s services for years to come.

We’ve had a great experience with Lisa and the team at Out U Go. Our 18 year old cat receives his daily medication and love from the staff. I enjoy reading the daily reports they leave for us. We used to rely on neighbors for cat sitting and now only make arrangements with OUG.
They feed, medicate, water, give love and clean the litter boxes every day. They even bring in the mail and will do other things around the house if you need it. Honestly, our cat probably prefers OUG’s reliability to ours!
We’ve arranged for cat sitting in advance and at last minute and never had a problem. Lisa even helped us tremendously by mailing an important package to us that we needed during a vacation. This team goes the extra mile and we’ve told all our friends about how great they are. It’s comforting to know our cat will receive the care he needs while we are away.

Lisa and her team took awesome care of our fur monster, Oliver! He got daily report cards — which was adorable– and we received a text per daily visit.
Of note, we had previously tried another pet-​sitting service in town and were disappointed. We’ll stick with these folks from now on!

I was in a bind after a rough first day at doggy day care, so I called an hour after out U go closed, hoping for a miracle (but not expecting to hear back). Lisa called and emailed me back later that night, and agreed to walk my puppy the very next day. She was extremely friendly and so helpful, and I can’t believe how quickly she responded. My sweet pup Blue was well taken care of while I was at work. I came home to a happy puppy, no messes, and I even got a report card for the day. This was also the only dog walking service I saw that even offered 1 hour increments, which my little ball of energy really needed. So happy I found them, and will definitely use them again. Highly recommended!!! :)

I am a very protective pet owner and I was thrilled with the service I received from Lisa and her staff at Out-​u-​go Pet Sitting.
They were kind enough to send me daily email updates, clean my cats eye, and consistently put drops in their food.
I left the country for 17 days knowing that my 3 cats were going to receive the best care around.
They also watered my plants, brought in my mail, and turned on different lights every day. I would recommend them to anyone. They are highly professional but are kind animal lovers too.

We are thrilled with Out U Go. We hear more updates re our pup from the dog walker staff than we do from our son’s preschool. :). Also very impressed with Lisa’s professional initial meet and greet visit. She spent time learning the ins and outs of our home and making sure both pup (and kitty in hiding) were comfortable. Yay for Out U Go!

We had a great experience with Out-​U-​Go! Our dog is extremely anxious (due to being injured by another dog when he was a puppy), and we simply cannot consider a kennel as an option for our little guy. We were so happy to find an organization who understood our concerns and needs and knew how to work with anxious pets. Out-​U-​Go was perfect, because we knew that our dog and our two cats would be safe and happy at home with someone focused on them the whole time. Lisa (the Out-​U-​Go owner) came over to meet with us initially, and we were also able to meet Erica, our house sitter, ahead of time. We also filled out written information about our pets’ schedules, personalities, etc. This allowed us to feel very secure before leaving and to be confident that they had all the information that they might need. Our dog usually doesn’t do well with strangers, but Erica has a great, calm demeanor that was perfect for him. She kept us updated on how the gang was doing and responded to any questions we had while we were away. We then received a detailed written summary from her once we arrived home. We highly recommend their services, especially to pet owners who have scared/​anxious/​reactive pets that wouldn’t do well in a kennel. Great people work for this organization. We will definitely use them again!

I am very, very picky about who I leave my pets with and I was completely happy with Out-​U-​Go! We took a carribbean cruise which cut off our ability to call home. We had the sitter stay overnight and the house and it was the best decision. Leona emailed us multiple times a day to keep us updating on how our animals were doing while we were gone. I was finally able to take a vacation where I wasn’t worried about the pets the entire time! We will definitel be using them in the future!

I was so pleased with Out-​U-​Go. I contacted Lisa to housesit my dog and cat while I was out of town. I find it easier to have my pets stay in my home together. She was prompt to respond to my requests and questions via email. She came to meet the pets, myself and get the lay of the land. She is very professional and friendly. My pets (and I) warmed to her immediately. I felt very comfortable with her staying and caring for them in my home. She sent updates while I was gone. I would not hesitate to hire Out-​U-​Go again.

Out-​U-​Go is the perfect dogwalking service for us. Lisa came to our house for a meet & greet and got to know our dog, and our house, before the first walk. Booking is super easy via their website and the company is extremely responsive, professional, and most important — great with our dog. We use them for as-​needed walks, when our schedules prevent us from getting home in time to let our dog out, and haven’t had one problem or concern. Highly recommend PLUS they have a steal-​of-​a-​yelp-​deal going on now.
