David M. Brodie, DDS

Last week was my first visit with Dr. Brodie’s office. I think I’m going to really like this place but a little early to tell. Had a very extensive and thorough cleaning. Hygienist was very educated and took the time to review charts and pictures to educate me on the condition of my teeth and what my short and long term possibilities were which most office don’t take the time to do. Very honest people and don’t seem interested in talking you into work you really don’t need.
The practice is very family orientated, if you didn’t know better you would think the staff was all related (the office manager and dentist are father and son).
In preparation for rebounding and shaping my 2 upper front teeth they sent me on my way with a five day whitening strip pack which I was told is much better than the leading strips I’ve used in the past at half the cost.
Can’t wait for my next appointment to have my bonding done. Will give a review on the whitening and bonding once complete.

good experience so far. i came from another dental practice that seemed to want to overdo services to get more money out of you. i like that this dentist gave me maintenance advice & said come back in 6 months for your next cleaning, then i went on my way. they didn’t find «issues» to have to come in more frequently to get checked out & unnecessarily pay copays for. the cleaning was not painful. they billed the cleaning as a cleaning & didn’t make up another name to extract a larger copay from me for it, like the last dental practice i went to. the staff was pleasant, courteous, & showed respect. i’m glad i made the switch to this dental practice.

Good experience so far. Dr. Brodie is indeed very nice and does not seem to want to suck money out of you with needless procedures. He seems to be conservative when it comes to dental work and tries to avoid traumatizing the tooth (any work on the tooth is traumatizing to it) unless it is necessary. He also seems to take his time and is a perfectionist, which I really like when it comes to dentists. I don’t want someone to take shortcuts when it comes to my teeth. I’d rather spend 5 hours being uncomfortable and drooling, but I want to get really decent work done!
The hygienists who clean your teeth are also very nice and respectful. The front desk lady is nice, although at first may seem a little stern. They did call to cancel but it happened only once and they did it in advice.
I only have been there several times, but so far so good. But I will «keep an eye» on them though and update if this impression changes.

Dr. Brodie is a nice guy and a great dentist. You feel comfortable with him and the rest of his staff since they don’t push you to have work done that you don’t really need. Most of the time they say «let’s keep and eye on that and see what happens at your next visit». I wish I still came here, but now I am doomed to go to my employer’s dental facility. The only minus is that appointments are sometimes cancelled by the office at the last minute which can be inconvenient if you are already on your way there.
