I dropped my suits off here last week and clearly specified that I needed them for a business trip on Wednesday morning, so I had to pick them up for Tuesday. They told me afternoon would be best and they closed at 5. I got there today at 4 to find the shop closed. I did not receive a call, though they took my phone number. Now, I will undoubtedly spend hundreds tonight on a suit for my conference. Thanks… FORNOTHING! I only recommend this place if you like being pissed off and a victim of terrible customer service. I was willing to deal with higher-than-normal prices because of the Mom and Pop feel to the place. Now, there’s no chance I will ever spend a penny there.

This is the best tailor that I have been to. Everything that I have taken here to be taken in/up has been perfect! I have been to tailors in the past who have sewen as well as I do which is not a compliment. I am lucky to have found Firmani!

I agree with the previous reviewer that the lady is polite. However, I did hemming for a skirt, and not only did they not press the new hem so that it’s smooth but also they did not do a good job with the hemming itself: the hem is not straight! Very unprofessional job! I am not familiar with the prices in Boston for alterations, but I suppose I got what I paid for.

I got some hemming work done here and am very satisfied with the results. The old Italian lady who works here is so sweet and polite — when she heard that I had an important meeting in three days, she offered to to rush it so I could wear my suit to the interview. I’m not too familiar with how much alterations generally cost, but it cost $ 12 to get an unlined suit pant hemmed, which I was fine with paying. I will be bringing all my alterations here from now and on.
