I am a General Building Contractor. In the mid 80s I was flipping houses. Then the market went bad and in 1992 a Hurricane hit Hawaii. I moved to Hawaii because there was lots of work to be done and ended up with a Painting and Drywall company. I moved back to California just in time for the Northridge earth quake.
