Fireside at The Village

Love the location. The unit is old and tired. They don’t supply enough towels so bring your own. If you plan on using the spa bring more towels. The shower will run out of hot water after 2 uses. I would pay the extra $$ and stay in the Village. The fireplace doesn’t work and smoke gets into the unit. There was no storage for cloths you are living out of your suitcase.

We stayed here over labor day weekend. Great location. The condo was a little dated and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but for the price and location, I’d stay here again.

You can’t beat the location. You walk outside and you’re practically in the Village. It’s 2 minutes from the door to the Gondola going up to the base of the mountain. The place we rented for a long weekend was huge. We only had 10 people, but it could definitely comfortably sleep 15 people. The main floor had a kitchen, dining room, and spacious living room with a working fireplace. There is also an outdoor deck area which comes with a small table and BBQ grill. Upstairs is a loft area where there are two bunk beds and two sleeper couches. Floor below has 2 private bedrooms, one that also has an extra mattress. The bottom floor has two bathrooms. Middle with one, and top with one. There are plenty of glasses and utensils. Prices are reasonable. $ 2300 for 3 nights. If you have 15 people, you can split that easily.
Now, there were a few cons.
1. Parking: you get 2 parking spots. That’s pretty crazy if you have 15 people. However, there are some temporary spots you can probably park at, or borrow other parking spots (make sure to leave a note with your number) if you really need to.
2. Spiral staircase: Connects the 3 floors, but it’s quite tight, so… be careful!
3. The place can only handle 3 showers in a 45 minute period if you want hot water. I never had any issues with this, but that’s what they told us!
OH! You also have access to a heated indoor pool and large jacuzzi. Imagine how that feels after a day of skiing and snowboarding.

Love staying at this place! So close to the gondolas and right in the village, what more can you ask for! A little pricier than other places to stay around the area, but if you have a big group this location and place does the trick! The pool and spa area is indoors and heated, which is really nice. And another plus is that if they aren’t at capacity then they’ll be glad to give you more parking spaces in their underground garage!
If I could stay here every time I visit Mammoth I definitely would!
