Sierra Park Villas

Great place except for the manager… He is a crabby old guy that’s unfriendly and rude. Would have stayed here again but will be finding friendlier accommodation in the feature.

Area in general is nice but we had human waste is our toilet when we arrived which made us question the cleanliness. They gave us 4 towels for 5 people and the office closes at 5 so there was no way to request more until the next day. The spa is nice and the location is walking distance to restaurants and the store
Condo 85 specifically: the setup it’s not what they show online. The futon is no longer here and the couch bed was impossible to sleep on. We took the mattress off and put it on the floor. The main bed was horrible. We discovered it is being held up by a stack of wood! Most of the closets and drawers are locked so don’t expect space to put your clothes or food away.

This is the worst place ever! I would put 0 star for it, but I can’t! Service horrible! Check in at 6pm check out 10am!!! And we got this schedule just after we made a payment! Do not recommended!!!

I enjoyed my stay here at Sierra park villas, the condo or my condo was really nice, everything was nice and clean it was like I’m living in my own house! The only complaint I would have to give to this place is the restrooms, the toilets are pretty bad because they clog so easily. Other than that this location has some nice restaurants around, you also get a chance to hike on the mountains or run! Overall this is a nice place to stay with a decent price, they also offer going to a pool and they have tennis courts

We totally enjoyed our stay in Mammoth at Sierra Park Villas. We stayed in Unit #33 and I will stay there again. The condo was decorated really cute with new looking carpet and furniture. Although small, there was plenty of space for our family and more. Will definitely stay here again next year when we pass through Mammoth.

We stayed here for the first time this week. We got the 2 bed room with a loft. It was roomy well stocked. The location is great close to everything. Roberto’s Mexican restaurant is across the street and is Yummy! The staff was super nice when we arrived my husband dropped us off at the slopes then went to see if we could check in early. Not only did they let him check in they helped him unload (had back surgery). The price reasonable. We will be back :0)

We stayed in unit #1 but I understand that other units are more or less the same.
No Internet or WIFI! How is it possible to not have internet connection in 2013? My kids drove me crazy during our stay.
Our condo and its furnishing was dilapidated! Everything was original 1970s condition! 30 year old carpet, old kitchen, old cabinets, old bathroom, doors. The bed covers and blankets were terrible! Old blankets covered with old fuzz balls. Old tiny beds in the loft. Kitchen lights covered with cobwebs.
The only positive thing about the condo is its location. However the good location doesn’t justify horrible condition and lack of upkeep is horrible.
Sierra Park Villas management should do quality control on their rental units to make sure they are up to date. As a result I wouldn’t stay there and don’t trust the property management company on the other units!

In terms of location, quality of service, price range, and the cabins themselves, Sierra Park Villas are the best place that I have stayed at in Mammoth. We had a great experience and everything was in perfectly working order. Going to stay here again during our next visit to mammoth for sure.

Stayed here this past weekend. Not a bad place for the price.
Pros:
— Close to stuff (restaurants and shuttle stops right across the street and Von’s about 2 blocks away)
— Nice price. We had 8 people in our unit for ~250 a night.
Cons:
— Outdated and run down. Kitchen floor was missing a tile and downstairs bathroom had some holes in the drywall.
— No washer/​Dryer. Fine for a weekend stay, but if you stayed here for a week you’d need to go to a laundry mat at some point.
So put it this way, IMHO a cool place for a 2 – 3 night getaway with a group of low maintenance friends. I could see someone with picky tastes to find it below standards. If I was bringing my wife and kids on vacation for a week, I’d pick one of the nicer condos.

Horrible customer service had family emergency and would not give refund 12 days from deposit for stay. Small business owners with no heart or compassion

In terms of location, you just can’t beat the price of this place! The condos themselves aren’t snazzy or new, but they can house quite a number of people for a great price, compared to the cost of places in the Village. We have stayed here every time we have come to Mammoth for the past 20 years. The type of condo we normally stay in has 3 floors, on the bottom floor there are two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and queen sized bed. On the second floor there is a living room, kitchen, and another full bath. The kitchen has all the bowls, cups, utensils, pot/​pans that you will need (again, not fabulous cookware and probably not as nice as what you have at home, but it gets the job done), and also a table with chairs. The living room generally has two couches and sometimes a chair or two, as well as a TV. Now, the kind of TV varies depending on the condo itself. Two years ago we stayed in a condo that had an incredibly small, circa 1990 TV that had terrible picture and sound quality. The condo we just stayed in this week had a large flat screen HD TV. So it really all depends on what the people who own the condo put in it. On the third floor there is a loft, some of the condos have an additional full bath up there, some do not. Also, we have been in several condos where the loft upstairs is rather open and you can easily see out the windows of the condo as well as downstairs in the living room. This condo we stayed in this week had a condo that was completely closed off upstairs, pretty much like it’s own bedroom and not really a loft at all. It was a nice change considering it was myself, my husband, and baby that were occupying that loft. We enjoyed the privacy.
These condos come with just about everything essential that you need: Towels, beds, blankets, pillows, cups/​bowls/​pots/​pans/​utensils, heat, hand soap, etc. Like I said, this place has a great location. The bus to take you up to the main lodge is directly outside the condo community on the street. Across the street there are restaurants and bars. Down the street just a bit is a Vons, Carls Jr, Shogun, Shopping, etc. All within walking distance. And if you take the bus down the street in the opposite direction you can be dropped off at more dining and shopping locations, as well as the Village, which has even MORE dining and shopping options, although the Village can be a bit more pricey. But still worth a look.
Overall you just cant beat the price of this place! If you are on a budget, and don’t care about lack of glamor, then this place is perfect! Only thing is the buildings themselves are a bit outdated so don’t be surprised if you see a spider here or there.

In a nutshell: Great place to stay if you’re on a budget. Along the shuttle route, close to Vons, and across the street from a few restaurants. Phone reservations. Specify if you want wireless internet. Be sure to check what deals they have going on.
Parking: They have just enough for the occupants. I always find one spot available.
I was on a decent budget and this place was recommended to me by some friends who always stay here for their Mammoth trips. It’s a great place to stay and in a great location too. It’s right along the shuttle route and down the street from Vons (.2 miles). The condo I stayed in (1 bedroom, 2 lofts, 1.5 bathroom) could sleep 7 people even though the website says it’s for 6. There were 3 singles in the first loft, queen in the other loft, and queen in the bedroom, but only 1 shower and the dining table seated 4. Towels were provided. The kitchen had all the necessities: plates, utensils, pots and pans, etc. The living room had two couches, a TV, and some board games. The condo was a little outdated, but still very welcoming, spacious, and it had everything we needed. The property manager is always available, which I experienced first hand. I needed to call someone when my sister blew a fuse using her hair dryer and he showed up in ten minutes.
I docked a star because their reservation process is a little old-​fashioned. The website does not have online booking and confirmation comes through snail mail. The website doesn’t allow you to browse through the available condos to see which amenities each has. Either way, it’s still easy to make reservations. When I called, the nice person on the phone asked for what weekend and for how many people and informs me of what condo was available. I paid half of the total over the phone and then paid the other half when I checked out. Even when I asked, they don’t email the reservation information, it comes through snail mail. When calling, be sure to specify if you want wireless internet (no additional charge) since some condos don’t get it.
Overall, I was very happy with my stay here.
