This is my go to Chinese takeout place in Manchester. Really good vegetarian options, especially the general gao’s tofu. Solid standard Americanized Chinese food. I was also very impressed last time we got deliver when they forgot our spring rolls. A short time later, without us calling and complaining or saying anything, there our doorbell rang, and it was the restaurant with our spring rolls.

I really enjoy this place. It’s regular, no frills, Chinese takeout. Typically my husband and I get the combo plates, which are a lot of food for the money! I’ve enjoyed the broccoli with garlic sauce, spring rolls, crab rangoons, egg foo yung, and scallion pancakes. We’ve brought several guests here too and they enjoyed it as well. It’s often requested when we have friends over! Not sure why the bad reviews, although we’ve never tried delivery just pick-up. Conveniently across from a nice Irving so you can pick up some beer while you’re out too!

This place is decent. The deliver pretty fast. The lame thing is the charge an extra $ 1 for delivery. The food is just okay. It’s nothing special. I ordered crab Rangoon, fried shrimp, spareribs, chicken wings and pork. It was two appetizer combos. The prices are pretty cheap considering. Each app was around $ 9. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again but at least I found a decent Chinese place that delivers so if it comes down to it I may eat here again.

My family just ate here for the first time tonight. We got the egg rolls, kung pao chicken, sweet & sour chicken, beef & broccoli, steamed shrimp with veges, and general tso’s chicken(extra spicy). I have to say, the search is over. This is our place! Ever since we left CT for AZ in 2001, we have not been able to find Chinese food that we like… food with flavor, substance and kick. In the past 6 months living in NH, we have tried about 5 other chinese places around Manchester and nothing compares to this place so far. And the prices are reasonable! We will definitely be back.

Sooo, received a flyer at my apartment today and figured I’d give it a shot. Went to the website and they had spiffy online ordering where you can pick what kind of rice you want and everything — awesome! Anyway, here’s the timeframe: 5:50pm — placed online order 6:48pm — I call to check if everything’s ok; man says that the driver has already left — sweet! I can taste the rangoons already 7:05pm — I call back because, well, my apartment is fewer than 15 minutes away. At the same time, I receive another call from the driver saying he’s out front. 7:05pm — 7:08pm — I exchange numerous calls with the driver confirming that he is neither out front nor in the parking lot of my apartment. He says he will call the restaurant and check. I tell him I will stand outside so he gets the right building. 7:22pm — 7:26pm —(still standing outside in the cold) I get back in touch with the driver and ask him where he is, offering to provide directions(it’s basically 5 simple turns from China Wind to my apartment). He keeps telling me he’s where the GPS took him; I tell him that if he just follows the road that he will see me since I am standing about 5 feet from the road in a lighted area. He says he has to call back the restaurant. 7:34pm —(still standing in the cold for some reason — misguided hope of wonton soup?) China Wind calls me and says that the driver cannot make the delivery, but that they can send a new driver and he will be there in FOURTY-FIVE minutes. An rant ensues involving topics like«2.5 hours,» «you can’t give directions to your own driver» and«you can deliver menus but you can’t deliver food?!» The response is that the driver is «new» and thus apparently cannot follow directions??? Anyway, very long story short — don’t order delivery from here, ever. There are tons of Chinese places in Manchester; why take a risk on a «new» driver coupled with incompetent management? 7:45pm — placed order with Cheng Du Kitchen

We received menus for this place on our mailbox at our very large apartment complex so we decided to give them a try. My husband ordered delivery about two hours ago and after several phone calls to them trying to find out where our food is, offering directions and being told the driver has a GPS, driver cannot find our complex so we will not be getting our food. Now very hungry we will be ordering from Cheng Du Kitchen where we have never had a problem with delivery and know we like the food.

This place is great! We have tried almost every place in Manchester, and this is the best. Pupu platter, fried rice, king Pao, general tso’s, vegetable lo mein and shrimp in garlic sauce. I was not disappointed in anything. Delicious!!!

If your looking for some good cheap Chinese food this is definitely a good spot. Love the generals chicken and the crab rangoon is amazing! They always have lunch and dinner specials so it won’t ever leave a dent in your wallet. The cashier there is very polite and respectable. Good customer service.

Ordered from this place and it was mediocre, food was greasy but about standard for crappy chinese. The second time we tried to order the guy put me on hold twice for 5 minutes and told me his boss said we had to order $ 30 worth of food and pay a delivery fee because we were«too far» even though they had no problem with it before. Not worth it when there are plenty of other chinese delivery places in Manchester.

Second time i have got takeout from here and love it. Becoming my go too joint. Taste very fresh in the lo mein veg were cruncy and not greasy. As well as full of flavor. Last time i thought the same for the rice. Wish the pork strips were bigger but really everything cooked well. I think its better then heng wang! Still addicted to heng wang sweet and sour chicken. This place cleaner fresher taste to there food. Ok portions.

This place was terrible, not only did the food taste bad but it was horribly greasy. When we ordered the girl who answered the phone seemed scattered. She put my boyfriend on hold 3 times in the middle of taking his order, He ended up having to repeat himself over and over to make sure the order was correct, despite this our order was completely wrong. She forgot our other room mates meal altogether, she even had the nerve to tell my boyfriend he didn’t tell her about that meal on the phone. Forget this place, i’ll never order from here again.

China Wind(formerly Tung Sing) opened up in May 2011 at the sharp corner of Massabesic St & Hall St. The place itself looks the same as before, very cozy with an order counter with overhead lighted menu boards, open kichen and a few tables for eating in. There is now a flatscreen TV on top of the Coke cooler. There were some changes to the menu(from its predecessor), some items/dishes are gone and new items are now on the menu. The prices have gone up slightly on most items. The menu is all Chinese and there are no more Thai dishes. The pu pu platter for two has changed slightly which has 2 egg rolls, 4 chicken fingers, 2 chicken teriyakis, 2 beef teriyakis, 4 chicken wings, boneless spare ribs, &4 rumakis(shrimp & bacon). Unfortunately, the pu pu platter for one is no longer on the menu, but assorted appetizer combos with 4 chicken wings are offered for $ 8.95. 30 Combination Platters served with pork fried rice are offered for lunch($ 5.75-$ 6.95) with egg roll or chicken wing and for dinner($ 8.50-$ 8.95) with egg roll & chicken wing. A Weekly Special Dish Combination is also offered for $ 4.50& up(lunch) and $ 6.50& up(dinner). House Specials now offered here include fish in black bean sauce, Peking duck for 2, orange flavor prawns, General Tso’s bean curd, and eggplant in garlic sauce, just to name a few. Also, an express lunch buffet(12PM-3PM during the week) is offered for $ 4.95 which includes rice and soda and choice of 3 items from the buffet setup on folding tables. I stopped in here for lunch very recently and the staff was very welcoming telling me I get a 20 percent discount off the menu for the grand opening special. I ordered the C30 Shrimp Lo Mein with Pork Fried Rice & Egg Roll($ 5.95−20 percent discount, plus tax). The food was ready in under 10 minutes and a couple of the staff were also busy filling and folding cheese wontons on big trays on the front tables as I waited. The lo mein had a good mix of vegetables(sprouts, onions, cabbage, sliced mushrooms), tender small shrimp and soft noodles. The fried rice was soft in texture with a mix of roast pork, egg, onions, and sprouts. The egg roll was stuffed with a mix of cabbage, celery, and ground pork, crispy outside and not too greasy. Overall, the food I had was very tasty and filling like before. Fast Delivery offered
