Hannaford Supermarket

Wow. Maybe my standards were lower than they should have been, or perhaps I’ve been used to a sub-​par Hannaford experience for the last three years (in Massachusetts). I was blown away by the cleanliness, organization, and overall experience when I stopped in for the first time. Very nice produce section; the organics/​health food section was bigger and better than the Hannaford I previously shopped at. Way to go! Did Hannaford originate in New Hampshire? That would explain the nicer stores…

This hannaford NEVER has enough registers open, and the bathrooms are usually gross. Only gave 3 stars due to the staff, very pleasant.

At the end of August my debit card was double charged. They know about this error and still haven’t fixed it. I left the proof from my bank and my information at the customer service desk with the cashier there since the manager was not available and was told that I would get a call from her. The money still hasn’t been returned in my bank account and I still haven’t heard from them to even explain their process of how long or what needs to be done to get my money back. I look forward to hearing them explain themselves and what they plan on doing to make this right. It’s almost a couple weeks now. That’s bad service!:(

Got a store tour tonight from their on staff dietician. Time very well spent on a little know service they offer. I’d give them 5 stars but they need to leave more registers open.

Of all the grocery stores in the area Hannaford is without a doubt the best of the bunch. They have the lowest prices, freshest produce, best meat department, and the grocery items tend to be right where you’d expect them to be. My only complaint is that there are a few items that I like that they don’t carry which forces me to go to the other stores which can be very inconvenient. I understand that they can’t carry everything, but the items that they’re missing are very common. Very strange.

I love this Hannafords! This is now my supermarket of choice. The staff is so wonderful. The folks in the deli are awesome; as are the seafood and butcher staff. I love their organic/​natural section; so much cheaper than the health food store in town. I like the Knudsen brand tart cherry juice. I buy it here for $ 5.99…exact same thing at the health food store is $ 9.99 (I mean is that crazy or what?).
The store is bright and clean… product displays are appealing. This is what a supermarket experience should be about.

Love this store. Deli and bakery staff are very friendly and associates who are stocking shelves always say hi and ask if you need help finding anything. Cashiers and service clerks are fast and friendly. I’m glad they changed the self-​ring lanes to small orders, too many people with full carts were using hem before. Definitely the cleanest grocery store in Manchester.

We love Hannaford’s. They have a great selection of everything from seafood, meats, breads, Pastries and much more. Would definitely recommend shopping there.

I love this place. This is my go-​to grocery shopping store, along with Saigon market. They have almost everything I need. And anything they don’t have, I can find at Saigon market. But what I really love about this place is the seafood staff. Yes, the staff that sells you seafood. Behind the glass counter. And the lobster tank in the middle of the tiled floors. Them. They make this place wonderful.
They are the most adorable crew of men you will ever find in your life. They always greet you with a smile and make jokes with you. They recognize the regulars that come and poke fun at you for being there so often. They are always sooo happy and friendly, telling jokes and stories to each other to keep themselves entertained, so goofy that you have to laugh with them and you can’t help but go in smiling and leave smiling and happy with a heavy sack of freshly boiled seafood.
You guys are the best! Seafood makes my day, but you guys make it so much better. :)
