Established in 2001.

We have been doing this work all our lives. John grew up in a home of Craftsmen, Artists, Handymen, and has been working with family projects since an early age. (4yrs old) Making and Selling Woodwork (4 yo — presenrt), Moving (4 yo — present) First paid move at 12yo, Home Building since 8yo, Transportation since 18yo, Professional Moving 20 yrs old — present, Mechaical Assembly work 2 yrs old to present, Commercial Construction 18yrs old to Present, Business Owner over 10 Years. and Much, Much, More… I don’t know everything yet, but I’m learning more everyday.

We recently used John to move from New Hampshire to Florida. John and his help were amazing on both ends. They were right on time, loaded the truck in one day with our belongings from a three bedroom house. John and the help were very pleasant, efficient, professional and trustworthy. He arrived in Florida on time and the unload was just as efficient as the loading. We had no issues with any of our belongings and would recommend Johns helping hands to anyone who needs help with anything. We were very impressed. Thank YOU John!

We used John’s to move us twice in two months. We sold one home and hadn’t finished the deal on the new home. Our buyer needed to move into our old place ASAP so we packed up everything in 6 days and moved a bunch of our boxes into a local self storage place our selves. When it came to the furniture, we called John’s. They were there on time, they were careful with our stuff and were pretty fast with the move. We were very happy. We then finalized the deal on the new house (6 weeks later) and called John’s once again. They came to our storage unit and packed EVERYTHING into the truck and delivered it to our new home. Not one single thing got broken or damaged by John or his workers. I would definitely recommend them to any one who needs movers who care,.

We hired John’s for a local move and were very disappointed with the results. They showed up on time with a rented uhaul truck and two kids with John. They moved so slowly that it really wrecked the schedule for the day. Within the first hour, the two young men that were there to move had taken two smoke breaks and we were being charged by the hour.
After I spoke to John, they did speed up a little, but still no where near the skills that experienced movers have. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. No sense of urgency and didn’t seem to care we were not pleased.

Right from the get-​go, I felt confident that John’s Helping Hands was a good choice. All my conversations and emails and texts with John were prompt, professional, and thorough. I was moving a 2 bedroom apartment into a single family home (65 miles away) plus a storage facility. We had some furniture that needed to be moved out of the single family home (2nd floor) before the furniture from the apartment could be brought in. John understood exactly what I was requesting and packed the truck in just the right order so the things that needed to come out first did, and the rest came out at the storage facility. Many of our items were antiques and needed to be handled with care. John and his 2 man crew did a fine job. Nothing was broken or scratched or lost. They arrived EXACTLY on time! They worked quickly and finished the job an hour ahead of what he estimated. His pricing was more than reasonable. I would recommend John to anyone who needs to have a job done well. John is honest, fair, knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely hire John again.

I was skeptical about hiring someone I don’t know to come into my home but John was nothing but polite and professional from the first minute. He arrived with his team and politely introduced himself — he had mats and was ready to help. He helped move a heavy carpet and huge sectional and then put a coffee table together for me. Not only does he help with anything but had very helpful advice regarding other projects I was working on around the house. 100% will hire him again.

John and his team were awesome. They showed up on time, they took care of the furniture we hired them to assemble, and were very conscious of trash and their surroundings. This is on top of a friendly and very knowledgeable person in John and his team. They worked through rain, even after repeated offers to come inside.
He is worth every penny and I would highly recommend utilizing his services.

I cannot put into words how glad we were that we hired John and crew for our move but I’ll try my best.
They arrived 10 minutes early.
Friendly and courteous.
Careful and conscientious.
The packing of the van was precise and efficient.
They worked in the rain and after dark.
The cost was more than reasonable and totally worth it.
I hope we never have to move again but if we do, I would absolutely hire John again. If he wasn’t available, I’d just do it myself because no other moving company would ever compare.

We had John take care of our house maintenance for 3 weeks while we were out of state. Very dependable, flexible, and great service. It was nice to be able to rely on John during the cold winter month of December. Will definitely use John’s contract services in the future! Also learned John does moving services too!

John’s Helping Hands showed up on time, with smiles on their faces and ready to work. We contacted John under unique circumstances… we didn’t know when we were going to be able to move in due to a very aggressive closing schedule. Additionally, we ran out of room in the trailer we were loading (my fault, not theirs) and rented a UHaul at the last minute. I have never seen a truck packed so precisely. I think part of the training for John’s crew must be hours of Tetris. During this stressful time, John brought an element of calm and confidence to the situation. He reassured that we would have it all done, and after our closing on our new house, he and his would be ready to help unload.
We moved from a turn of the century home with large rooms, wide doorways and high ceilings to a New England Farmhouse, where ceiling heights are much lower, and doorways do not exceed 28 inches (I gave them fair warning!). John, Andy and Joe took deep breaths and managed wonderfully. The pinnacle was when the sectional had to be moved into the playroom above the garage… through a 28″ angled door, and up a 3 foot wide staircase with two turns. After two unsuccessful attempts, Joe (who has a heart of gold and a voice of a Sopranos character) brainstormed a way to lift the couch above the rafters (in the only cathedral ceiling in the home) and bring the sectional into the playroom from above. I think it’s safe to say that no matter what the challenge, John’s Helping Hands will overcome it, won’t give up, and will work with smiles on their faces up until the very end. A job well done, guys!

HI — I hired John to fix my rusty old wrought iron front door stair railings. He was able to sand them all down, prime them and paint them a beautiful semi-​gloss black. He also painted my lamp post to match.
It was a very wonderful experience, he is very professional, takes his job seriously and you can count on him to do a wonderful job. Everyone who comes to my front door comments on how nice the stair railings look.

I have been meaning to write this review since September. Life got in the way, but I should credit some of that to John’s Helping Hands, as they made my move so easy I was able to just jump right back into a busy schedule the next day!
I hired John to take care of a temporary move that included moving all my stuff an hour away– some stuff into storage and some into a home. John was friendly and responsive from the beginning. While all the other moving services were sending me impersonal surveys to fill out about apartment size and the amount of furniture, John was wiling to have a human, voice-​to-​voice conversation about the process. He gave me a VERY good price (hundreds lower than other places!) and followed through with that.
On the day of the move, he arrived a little early but had no problem with the fact that I wasn’t quite ready. He and his partner loaded the truck so incredibly fast, while still taking the time to wrap my furniture in moving blankets, etc. They also fit a ton of stuff into a relatively small truck like a professional game of life-​size tetris. The unload was equally as quick and painless.
Overall the experience was professional, efficient, friendly, and remarkably well-​priced. I have recommended this business to friends and will absolutely hire John again when I next move.

Just hired John’s company for a local move from a house to an apartment. John was excellent to work with from the very first call. Very professional, polite, detail oriented and great communication. Value priced compared with other movers I called before him. Very accommodating and even took the time to pick up and drop off the Uhaul truck as part of his service (had to pay for use of the truck of course). He brought along one of his workers, Dave, who was top notch and same hard work ethic as John. Definitely glad I went with John’s company and would use him again.
