Business Owner

Lars Crampton — Owner of JC’S Carpet Cleaning & Restoration. Born and raised in Manhattan Beach, Lars is a Eagle Scout and a 2nd generation cleaning and restoration specialist. He has a degree in fire and emergency technology and Business. He is certified in carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, water damage restoration, and fine wool hand woven area rug cleaning.

Lars started out at a young age by wanting to go out and help his father Jim on jobs. Growing up (after school) he spent many afternoons, nights, weekends, and summers working with his father and learning the business. At age 16 he was running a van by himself and going out to jobs on his own. After high school he attended El Camino College full time in the evenings, and continued to grow the family business. At 19 years old he hired his 1st full time technician who is still part of our expert team today.

He is an active member in our community, and lives in Manhattan Beach with his wife, and baby daughter.

I contacted Lars via msg to see about a cleaning of my sofa and his communication was perfect and actually helped us to decide to not get the sofa cleaned and put the money towards a new one. We used JC’s this weekend for a few rooms, a foyer, and all our stairs on our house we were moving out of. They came on recommendation from a past client, and after getting a very easy quote from the owner via Unilocal,I decided to make the appointment.
— They were able to accommodate the exact time I wanted, although the team was a little late due to coming from another job, it worked out fine.
— I thought they put ample time and effort into the old carpet and worked out some spots I didn’t know could come clean.
— The team was courteous and friendly.
— The cost was on estimate.
— I think overall they did a very good job.
I would recommend JC’s and use them again in the future. I really have no complaints and the managers and crew communicated well through Unilocal,email, and phone when I needed them. Solid 4 stars.

I have used them twice now. I spoke to the same person each time I booked an appointment and had the same two service techs show up at my house on both occasions. That says something right there.
All the staff was extremely professional and did a great job. Carpets were cleaned well, price was reasonable, they arrived on time (no annoying time window), and they finished within a couple of hours at most.
I will continue to use them and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend JC’s.

I just got my carpets cleaned today by Shannon and Arturo and the experience was fantastic. From start to finish they were pleasant and professional. I found this company on Unilocal and within minutes of messaging the owner using Unilocal he responded.
I wanted the job done ASAP and they made it happen the very next day. The owner was super helpful and nice. He gave an estimate over the phone and there were no hidden fees.
Shannon and Arturo arrived and did an amazing job and even gave us free spot remover treatment for future use and a deodorizer treatment to make the carpet smell great. I have a cat and really needed the carpet refreshed.
All in all I plan on using them again and want to get on a schedule of twice a year cleaning. I love great customer service and feel like that’s what makes a first time customer and life long customer.

Had four rooms shampooed and deodorized. Two were done really well, one was only half completed, and in one there were bleach stains left behind. One of the company reps called and denied that his chemicals were the cause of the bleach stains, which was far from the truth. Did offer to re-​do room that wasn’t completed, but declined to assist in the room with bleach stains. Will go elsewhere for my next carpet cleaning needs.

The customer service from JC’s Carpet Cleaning was fantastic.
Shannon and Arturo were extremely professional and did an awesome job on 3 bedroom carpets, a white sofa and love seat. They were in and out in just over 2 hours.
The sofa was in desperate need of cleaning and now looks brand new!
I will definitely use this company again.

I was trying to train my cats to use the toilet instead of the litter box (as seen on TV!) and when I combined that with the stress of a move, it backfired on me and they peed on my new area rug and my new expensive couch!
I called around to my dry cleaner and a few other places and nobody was willing to take on the couch cushions (it seeped through into the down and foam). But Shannon and Arturo came out and saved the say! Very thankful for their prompt and thorough service!

Bottom line up front: Responsive to e-​mails/​messages, timely, extremely nice and courteous staff, great service. Ready to book them again few months down the road!
I have to give credit to my husband for this find. I messaged them via Unilocaled and they responded within five hours. They were able to work with our hectic schedule. Shannon and Arturo came 10 minutes earlier than we had planned which was nice. After moving some furniture around they started right away. They worked extremely meticulously and magically got rid of all our dark spots! To be honest, I really wasn’t expecting them to take out the larger more permanent (or at least… what I thought was permanent) stains but now our carpets look brand-​spanking new and I love it!
They were also extremely flexible and helpful. I told them when they arrived I had a huge rug in our garage that I would’ve loved to have cleaned. Without hesitation they helped me carry the rug in the house and again… they did their magic. Shannon was really friendly and it was apparent he truly cared about their business and everything they had to offer. It’s amazing how much of a different small talk and a genuine smile can make.
The entire process only took 1 to 1.5 hours. We paid $ 225 for almost 600 – 800 sq. ft. which I felt like was a fabulous deal. And before they left, he even gave me a free bottle of stain remover/​cleaner.
This place is amazing and I will be recommending them to all my friends in the local area.

Probably the nicest, most professional service we could have received! Shannon and Arturo made our carpet cleaning the easiest experience to date and I just had to write a raving review of their excellent communication, their prompt and courteous manner and best of all, our carpet being thoroughly cleaned! They even got some 15 year old wine stains out!!! We couldn’t have been happier. We applaud JC’s Carpet Cleaning for employing such wonderful people and getting our white carpet back to looking its best. We will use them again and again. :)

Superb service. This company is prompt in booking convenient times and dates as well as friendly with service and reasonable in pricing. I simply sent an email via Unilocal to inquire about their service and received a phone call along with a response email within 20 minutes. The day of the carpet cleaning was such a simple process. They called ahead to ask permission to arrive earlier than scheduled, which I appreciated. Upon arrival there was a brief introduction and a formal walk through of the home. Then in a matter of minutes they began to work their magic on the carpet. After a little over an hour, their work was done and the carpet was rejuvenated. They even had time to clean an area rug and completely transformed it to its original condition. There were no chemical smells or sticky residue on the carpet or rug from the cleaning products so again I was satisfied. The cleaning associates, Shannon and Arturo were extremely professional and polite. They respected our belongings and made sure that every carpeted area was cleaned. They came in and did a great job in record time.
Businesses who provide great service deserve recognition and this company deserves such merits.
Would I call them again for service? YES! So if you need your carpet cleaned do yourself a favor without delay, give them a call!!!

Impressed. These guys came in and did a great job by rejuvenating our carpet and rugs. These guys came in and respected our home when working. They used bumpers so the cables wouldn’t rub on our walls/​base boards. They wore special shoe covers to not track in dirt. They were super nice and friendly and took the time to answer my questions/​concerns prior to performing the cleaning.

Lars recently cleaned a floor model sofa that we purchased from the Z Gallery outlet. The sofa was pretty dirty and we really needed to get it cleaned up for our thanksgiving dinner party.
On the day of our appointment Lars called us saying that his truck had broken down and needed to reschedule. We were honestly a bit disappointed because we scheduled the cleaning only a day before our guests were scheduled to arrive. Rather than giving us excuses Lar’s was upfront, honest, and really bent over backwards trying to make things right. He ended up coming early in the morning the next day just in time.
The job he did perfect and we really appreciated him going the extra mile for us.

I just finished getting my carpet and rug cleaned. Cesar and Ruben were very professional and thorough. They set up the house with corner protectors, which I very much appreciated. They were reasonably priced. Previously, I had to send my rug out to be cleaned with another company, but they cleaned it at the house and it turned out just as good, if not better.
I would highly recommend this company and will definitely have them return for my annual cleaning.

Your attention to detail and the customer service your employees have is impeccable! (They use plastic protectors to protect the corners of your walls to ensure their hoses don’t damage your paint as they are going around your house)

I was in need of a serious carpet cleaning. My apartment gets rented out to vacationing travelers, and I live by the beach (sand gets pulled into the house and its hard to see). Due to the recent heightened traffic through my home, I was in need of a professional carpet service. I Googled carpet cleaning, and found JC’s.
First of all — I was floored by the quick response I got from JC. They assessed my situation on the phone, and offered to stop by to give me an estimate. A preliminary estimate was sufficient to get the job started.
They started off by protecting all the corners in my home, lifting my furniture and placing them on small flat separators (so they don’t indent the wet carpet after cleaning… who woulda thought!), they started from the back of the home and worked forward, and finally got the industrial grade steam rolling (not your typical in house carpet cleaning machine).
I had stains and spills on my carpet. I immediately noticed them stains gone after the job was complete. The smell of the house was CLEAN, and it was just plain obvious the carpet got a deep scrub. It was evident right off the bat that allergens and other types of dust and dirt were pulled out. I was completely satisfied.
JC’s reached out to me after the job was done to make sure everything was OK. I couldn’t have been happier. Even though they recommend this be done yearly, i’ll certainly be doing it every couple months or so.
