Dr. Joanna Wong, a board-​certified pediatrician, received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from UC Berkeley and her medical degree from UC San Francisco. She completed her studies here in Torrance at Harbor/​UCLA Medical Center, where she completed both her internship and residency. Dr. Wong has been an Assistant Clinical Professor at Harbor/​UCLA and Chairperson of the Department of Pediatrics at South Bay Hospital in Redondo Beach. She is on the Medical Advisory Board of the Manhattan Beach Unified School District.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the practice of pediatrics, Dr. Wong enjoys supporting parents in their efforts through the sometimes difficult physical, developmental and behavioral challenges of raising children. She enjoys spending time with her family, including her adult sons, grandchildren and her two dogs, who offer emotional support to children in the office.

Torrance Memorial Physician Network Pediatrics offers personalized, high quality medical care for children from birth to 18 years of age. We are board-​certified pediatricians who are experienced in providing very comprehensive general pediatric care, as well as providing care for chronic illnesses in children. We believe in the concept of the medical home, which means that each child’s regular physician oversees the health care of your child, regardless of the level of complexity of each situation. We assist you in coordinating care by specialists, and strive to support you when issues arise regarding behavior, emotional and physical development, as well as school issues along the journey to adulthood.

The physicians of Torrance Memorial Physician Network Pediatrics are contracted with most major insurance plans, including PPO’s, EPO’s, POS plans, and HMO contracts.
