Keith F Simpson

This is my first review as I have, in the past, used this sight for insight into new and exciting restaurants and places of interest for entertainment for my family and I. However given my experience with this particular firm I felt it necessary that I share it with others to that they may avoid the same pitfalls that I found myself in recently.
I retained the services of Mr. Simpson’s firm late last year in 2010 for what should have been a fairly straight forward case; a request for more time with my son. I agree with the previous review that the initial consultation was professional and that Mr. Simpson himself was courteous, seemed bright and proficient. However, what I believed and what I received were a different matter.
Let me begin, initially I was under the assumption that I was retaining the services of Mr. Simpson himself, however when I received back my requested Order to Show Cause, it was written by his secretary/​paralegal had typos and grammatical errors. When I pointed out these errors to Mr. Simpson and requested corrections and changes to this OSC I was charged the hourly rate of Mr. Simpson himself for the time it took for his paralegal to make the corrections they originally made, this was my first surprise given the fact that his secretary typed up the OSC. It took 4 or 5 revisions before the document was ready for submittable to court. Again I believe the initial issues were simply because Mr. Simpson himself delegated my case to his under staff, however this is inexcusable in most fields when clients are paying excellent money for professional services. That was my initial impression of the workings of the firm and the bad taste lingered for the duration of our working relationship. In hindsight, I take full responsibility for not severing ties with this firm prior to the court date, as the outcome, most possibly, would have been to my families benefit. What should have been a clear cut case for more time turned into something unbearable. In addition the advice given to me and my family afterwards was incorrect and not researched which cost me both time and money as it related to support.
As a matter of course, I find no pleasure in writing negative reviews about institutions that do their job and take pride in their work, I would much rather write a positive one about Mr. Simpson and his firm, however that would be a blatant lie. I hope that those reading this take it into consideration prior to retaining the services here as it could be to their detriment.
