This place is amazing and very interesting for a bakery and sandwiches. But the watermelon cooler isn’t what I expected. Ours more like a punk cucumber drink. I’m disappointed in that. I was expecting some sort of watermelon flavor… But in fact I didn’t taste much watermelon

Horrible service. The waitress, Lauren M., up charged me on two items without letting me know in advance. When I asked her about it she apologized and told me she’d removed one of the charges. When I received the check I realized she had simply added the price of the item she said she’d removed onto another item. I hope this experience was due to one bad egg, but won’t be bothering to find out a second time.

Great place for breakfast and lunch. It does gets crowded in the mornings but overall it’s a great place for all types of occasions

Came here for brunch, and this place is super cute!!! You should try to go early in the day because this place gets really crowded. I got the salmon breakfast and it was delicious, it came with smoked salmon, some bread, an egg and cream cheese. It was a really simple meal but I really liked it. I also got to try their avocado toast and I loved that!!! I would go back and get that if you like more savory food. Didn’t try any of their pastries but looked really good. Will be back again!

If you like organic places. This is a great one. Their foods are very tasty and the breads are to die for. They have great coffee and drinks. I love their style and its walking distance to the beach.

I hate this place but it’s actually okay. I think it’s overpriced. That said, the food is good but not adventurous. I’m reading some of the other reviews and I agree — good but not«wow.» Perfect review.

My anti and I came for early lunch. We ordered smoked salmon tartine, prosciutto ricotta & fig tartine and small chicken soup. 2 orders of tartines were good for sharing with 2 people. I enjoyed both tartines very much. We also asked for extra breads and spreads. Chocolate spreads and appricot jam are must to try! I would defenitely come again for omlet and croissant. Good service and location.

I love the food there. My favorite is the chicken chorizo omelette with avocado(bomb). All the food is prepared with simple ingredients and taste so fresh! The staff is friendly but my favorite is Rosy because she always remembers how I like my omelette plus if you are in a rush she will make sure to get get you in and out in no time. I’m not the type of giving reviews but this spot deserves it.

Must try this place. Hidden gem! From the salads to the omelettes, you can not go wrong! Did I mention they have the best coffee in town? All the staff is very welcoming and warm as well. Ask for Lauren she will help you pick the perfect meal.

Chorizo omelette was bomb. They had two big unnecessary slices of bread with it though. Also the salad lacked flavor. Cappuccinos are served in cups without a handle. I don’t like that :(OJ is super fresh squeezed

I had the chicken curry tartine with mint lemonade, my friend got roasted chicken tartine with raspberry lemonade. We shared a shrimp avocado salad. The food was nice and light in flavor. The curry was fragrant, not spicy. It was perfect for a late lunch(Wednesday 3pm) and was not busy at all. We each had dessert, I ordered cheesecake slice and my friend had a decadent chocolate mousse bombe. Our total bill was $ 72 and some change. HOLYSHIT that’s a lot of money for lunch!

Came for breakfast today and was disappointed in their breads as a whole. I ordered the open faced curry chicken salad tartine. The chicken was nice and moist with a mild curry flavor served on whole wheat bread. I enjoyed my sandwich, but it didn’t wow me. We ordered the bread basket which came with a nice assortments of breads and organic butter. The condiments on the table were delicious, my favorite was the 4 fruit preserves, then the apricot preserves. I was not crazy about the white chocolate spread it has a funny waxy taste. We also tried the banana fig muffin… super dry… yuck! For me, most of the breads were dry, with no distinct flavors, except the nut breads, which were good. I sampled the tuna tartine(gluten free) served on buck wheat crackers. Definitely boring, I like the crackers which were light and crispy, but the tuna was just ok. It is unfortunate that the food was just average because, I liked the location(we sat at tables outside, seated under umbrellas) and the excellent customer service. I probably won’t be coming back for just average food.

Love the brunch ambiance here. It is a little expensive but the food was good. I ordered the smoked salmon omelette that would have been a tad better with a little cheese. Their jams and cookie butter-like spreads are absolutely delicious! I would recommend this place for brunch/lunch. It’s also right next up the street from the water so you could take a nice walk after.

I’ve been to a few others and always come away with the same feeling. Good not great. Heathy but not delicious. And expensive for a lunch. Our service was horrible the other day, maybe short staffed or some other operational deal… but we couldn’t get refills or water(asked twice) and at the end it was still $ 35 for two sort of sandwiches and an iced tea. Not a perfect lunch. We had the tartine?? A Ham and Swiss sandwich in English. It was OK, I sub a nice mayo with herbs for the mustard trio and like it better. Good location here with a nice view of Metlox Center and good parking down below. The bread was good, that’s a start right???

This location in Manhattan Beach has been one of my favorites. Great outdoor patio seating sometimes gets bombarded by mommy strollers but makes up with all the cute dogs that accompany patrons to breakfast on weekend mornings. I usually get the egg white scramble with mushrooms and tomatoes which I really like. They use oyster mushrooms which I love. It comes with a side of organic greens, a french baguette and a nice variety of spreads ranging from peach, multi-berry, hazelnut and chocolate. This morning, I ventured out to try something different by ordering 2 soft boiled eggs on toast. Overall it was meh and came with multi-grain bread cut up into long strips(?). Perhaps something toasted and kept together would have been preferred. Bakery items look beautiful in the display but surprisingly, the blueberry muffin was dry and weirdly had no taste. Our waitress was very nice to replace it with a simple toasted french baguette and butter(that would have been perfect with my soft boiled eggs!). Cappuccinos are done well and the waitresses that work there are consistently excellent. We’ll still continue to return and enjoy the outdoor patio scene … I’ll just stick to my egg white scramble :-).

One of my favorite Le Pain Quotidien. I’m a fan of the iced lattes so I always stop by if I’m in the area. Not too much seating inside but there is a sizable outdoor area, which does suck if it is a cold day or if there are flies buzzing around. Of course, breakfast/brunch reigns supreme here. Huge fan of their egg dishes. There’s many types of bread as well, but they run out fast during the weekend. Parking is not toooo bad since right down stairs is a garage with meters parking.

A super relaxing spot in Manhattan Beach, up the hill from the Pier area, and set slightly off the high traffic route… you know… so you can enjoy a quieter lunch or coffee. PROs: — Super close to the underground parking structure. — Great people watching in/around the Shade Hotel and Metlox area. — Pretty reasonable prices. — Decent(not great) service. — Healthy menu options. — Outdoor seating is the best option there. CONs: — Inconsistent food(my greens salad with chicken was good, but the hummus app was rather gross). — The one bread item I ever had there was hockey puck hard. — Servers checked in on us twice prior to even getting the food. «How’s your… uhhhh sorry you didn’t get food yet.» A-Okay is a good rating… not bad, not great. A decent spot for a quick soup or salad. Nothing to fall in love with just like the name says(it’s the ‘everyday bread’) kinda run-of-the-mill and average. But hey… it’s food, it’s sunshine, and it’s rich people watching. First effing world problems yo. If your having bread probs I feel bad for you son, I gots 99 problems but a baguette ain’t one… hit me.

I always come here after eating at Lemonade and a coffee is my happy ending: p I’ve had the cappuccino but recently tried the mocha made with BELGIANCHOCOLATE!!! I am picky when it comes to mochas but it is the BEST i have ever had. It can be made with soy/almond/nonfat/whole milk or half and half. I can’t tolerate any of the first four so I ordered it with half and half which has less carbs but more fat. Amazing!!! I always wanted to try the chia pudding or brown rice pudding but it is REALLY expensive and they make it in a plastic cup here. For the price, it comes in a cute little jar in the Marina Del Rey location: P They are known for bread and pastries but I’ve never had any. Well to come here for the coffee is enough for me: P

It’s not easy to find this outlet, because it’s tucked into a courtyard next to the Shade Hotel. It’s also typically occluded by a score of double-wide baby strollers, which cluster around the hostess stand because the local Moms like the sunny patio. If you make it beyond the strollers, you’ll find a veritable kennel of local dogs clustering around their owners’ feet. A few is cute, but some days it’s more like a dog park with silverware. Inside, you just have to be impressed at the wide selection of high-quality carbs in many French incarnations. If you can somehow make it past the pastry counter without cracking and ordering a chocolate croissant, you’re a better human than me. Once at a table, the French style menu is always good for breakfasts and lunch, including fresh soups, salads, sandwiches and good omelettes. Best of all, they serve their cappuccinos and lattes in nice big bowls, which will give you the strength to push past all those giant strollers on your way to the street.

Came here for brunch today and the food was alright but the service was definitely not up to par. I get it, they’re crowded, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they can ignore their guests. Our server constantly kept forgetting about us and ignored any additional requests that we made. We asked for hot sauce, she forgot to bring it. We asked for the dark chocolate spread, she forgot to bring it. We asked for the check, she forgot to bring that too. Absolutely ridiculous. I ordered the chicken chorizo and cheddar omelette. I got it made with egg whites which were nice for no additional fee. The omelette was standard — pretty cheesy and not overcooked. What I truly love about Le Pain is the fact that they give you complimentary pieces of bread with your meal. However, one of the pieces of bread that was served(the sourdough I believe) was way too hard. It made it almost difficult to chew! The bread goes great with one of their many spreads that they offer. I looooveee their hazelnut and speculoos spreads. Absolutely addicting. Location is nice though. It is located right next to the beach. Their outdoor seating is definitely worth it.
