I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Song and his staff!!! My daughter has been suffering from Celiac and various allergies to food. It seemed like she had reactions to everything she ate. We were desperate to find answers. Dr. Song listened to us, took time and really cared. Even though Celiac is not an allergy, he took the time to offer suggestions and listen. He even researched various things that might help with her condition. in addition, she had also been suffering from extreme acne and we had tried everything.
Dr. Song tested her immune system and found a problem. Through a simple immunization he gave her, her immune system started to kick in. The blood results showed great improvement in just a month. We didn’t even have to wait for the results, we saw how her skin had healed and the even if she had a break out, it healed quickly. Her body started to fight the acne and her face is clear for the first time in years. He has helped us by steering us in the right direction and we could not be happier! I would recommend Dr. Song to anybody! It is so rare to find a doctor these days that will take the time to sit, listen and help you in finding your path to healing. So many doctors want to get you in and out. It is truly refreshing. He has been a great blessing to us. Thank you Dr. Song!

Dr Song and his team are simply magnificent. I have an almost 3 year old son that has been getting chronic bronchitis for a year. His regular pediatrician said its normal since we had just moved him to daycare and it was a severe season for the flu. We bought it for a while, but after months we decided to see specialists. This is where we found Dr. song. He was so patient and extremely thorough. My son is a very active kid, but dr song proceed to explain everything in detail and looked in many different areas. We did a few blood tests and found that one of his immunizations didn’t take which caused his antibodies to be low causing minor colds to turn into bronchitis which then caused his adenoids to swell and continue the cycle. After a 21 day treatment of antibiotics and nasal spray, my son’s health is much better. He now sleeps through the night, isn’t always congested and is active as always. Dr song also recommended an antibody shot engineered differently than the original immunization that didn’t take so that he can prevent this from happening in the future. The nurses and receptionist were also extremely delightful. I can not recommend dr song and his team enough. If you have tried everything and nothing has worked check out these guys as I’m sure dr song will do anything in his power to help you out.

Very nice doctor. Super nice nurses who seem happy to see me. Everyone is knowledgeable and professional and welcoming. They have a playroom next to the waiting room, which keeps little ones occupied and out from underfoot.
Unlike some other local allergists, all medical interactions are away from the waiting room and playroom, they’re very careful about infection prevention, and there’s no judgement if you haven’t been in for a shot for recently. They might say, «it’s been 11 days so we’ll need to repeat last week’s dose,» but they’ll never say, «you’re late.» They also never try to close earlier than their posted hours, which some other offices like to do.
I really like this place!

Where is Michelle? Dr. Song and his new doctor are ok. Not a BIG fan of his LVN or his receptionist. They are rude and unprofessional. Dr Song needs to clean house and needs to hire staff that is welling to work hard!

Both my daughter and I come here for allergy shots and have been very happy with the the overall service … All the girls nurses are soo pleasant and also wonderful with kids! Office is clean with a fun little kid play area! Dr. song seems to be very knowledgeable!

Dr. Song is worth the drive, even from Dana Point! Nurse Hannah greets you with a Smile, Jan is fabulous too! Dr Song is patient and takes time to ask thorough questions. He doesn’t rush to prescribe antibiotics while more organic approaches first. I feel like he makes a custom plan tailored for every patient he treats.

What can I add to all the other good reviews… not much… outstanding doctor and outstanding staff (usually you get either or). Dr. Song is so knowledgeable and very detail oriented. But most important of all. It truly seems like he cares!
With most of my other specialists, the trend is usually a pretty decent doc but a questionable staff. In this case the staff is just at par with the doc.
Oh… and let me add one more cherry… he happens to be mostly on time and not make you wait for hours like most!

I’ve had allergies for years and have to take monthly shots to control them. I had been seeing an allergist in Torrance for several years but it became too expensive and I always felt like a number and not a person. I found Dr. Song through Unilocal. After reading his positive reviews, I made an appointment to see him. He was very thorough and has a nice bedside manner. I have been seeing him for the last year and have been very satisfied with his services. His staff works well with him and I feel like a valued patient when I visit the office. His fees are a lot less expensive than what I was paying to my previous allergist and he has Saturday hours. I have already recommended him to several others that have allergies, including my sister, and will continue to recommend him.

Dr. Song is a caring person who will go above and beyond to help you out. My whole life I was never allergic to any type of food and that’s all I really cared about. One day, it was difficult for me to breath so I was able to come in to Dr. Songs office without any issues. It was my first time here, but they quickly started me on treatments and eventually I was able to breathe normally again.
On my second visit they did an allergy test which consists of 90 of the most common allergens. They test food allergies, allergies to trees, pollen, and dust. I was able to find out that I was allergic to the common dust and several different types of trees and pollen.
I’ve also been here for a severe headache and he treated it as a sinus headache. He put me on an antihistamine, nasal rinse, nose spray and another medication. My headache started feeling better by the next day!
Dr. Song and his staff are very professional. They take great care of you when you are in need of help. If you are looking for an allergist than you should definitely give Dr. Song a call!

It was my first time and I really enjoyed my visit to this place. The staff were very friendly and do many test to make sure they have detected everything. It is very clean and the technology they used are up to date. I left happy!

Dr Song has excellent bedside manners. He seen me and my adult daughter together. He did intensive test on both of us. After all that. He gave me my diagnosis with samples of the prescriptions. His staff is very nice and patients. I appreciate Dr Song

Finally decided to do an allergy test, and was generally pleased with the experience. It’s good to finally find out what I’m allergic to! (Turns out, a lot…).
Pros:
Doctor is calm and seems knowledgable, given his scholastic background and years of experience. He did a good job of explaining the details of what happened.
The tests were done safely and efficiently.
Both the receptionist and the doctor’s aide, the one who does most of the actual work, were pretty cute.
Staff is kind and helpful.
Cons:
The wait between the test administered and the results examined was a bit longer than I would have liked, although not unreasonably long.
The doors leading up the parking lot are locked until 9 am, so don’t come too early if you have a 9 o’clock appointment.

Wow! Dr. Song is really the most informative, knowledgeable and personable doctor I’ve ever encountered. As a major hypochondriac, I went in with hundreds of questions and he gave me comprehensive explanations about the origins of my allergic reactions, prevention and treatment methods. Also the facility is equipped with all types of testing devices. I just had a painful skin test of 90 pricks on my arms but it was all worth it. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who’s suffering from any form of allergy.

Dr. Song and his staff are fantastic. I had my first visit with Dr. Song today and he spent time explaining everything to me and made sure that I was comfortable. I had 90 prick tests and 14 subcutaneous injections. The assistant was very attentive and applied cortisone cream and offered to give me an antihistamine right after the doctor «read» all the bumps. Dr. Song left no stone unturned… even suggesting an alternative reason, other than allergies, for my chronic headaches. I can’t recommend him enough. Thorough, professional, personable, and smart. Thank goodness I finally found a new allergist that I’m confident will help me!

To the people complaining about what they see as unnecessary tests, I would argue that the doctor needs proper info to make proper recommendations. Peoples’ allergies change/​develop over time, so even if you’ve had a test done before, it may not accurately reflect where your allergies are today. I’ve had two prick tests with this doctor; and 2 other doctors as well. So about 4 total. The alternative is the doctor having incomplete diagnostic info, and giving you the wrong recommendations/​suggestions. People need to stop being so skeptical of MDs just trying to make money; if they wanted to do that they’d go into business/​finance. Doctor’s forgo many years of rigorous training, expensive medical school costs, and low pay during residency to get to the level they are at. They deserve every penny we pay them! I’m sure the doctor makes a decent living w/​out your test fees, don’t worry. MDs have a legal/​ethical responsibility to you; and that is why they run the tests, so they can diagnose CORRECTLY.
NOW, my update is to say that recently, my mother was experiencing extreme pain (we thought from possibly eating some shellfish), and I called Dr. Song’s office, letting his staff know I thought she needed care. Immediately they put him on the phone, and he informed me to get emergency care for her; and that he didn’t think it was allergy related. HE WAS CORRECT. After calling 911, and getting the fire dept. to take her to the hospital (she couldn’t make it to the car for us to drive her) we learned it was colitis, and she was treated for a severe infection in the colon. If I hadn’t acted on his recommendation of getting her emergency care, she could’ve suffered a far worse scenario (damage to colin leading to need for surgery!) She was hospitalized for about 4 days, on morphine and antibiotics. Thank God to the altruistic suggestion of Dr. Song, my mom got the proper care and is on her way to recovery. Thank you Dr. Song and staff! (oh by the way, he didn’t get paid for taking my call, giving me seriously helpful advice, and saving us thousands for a potential surgery we DIDNT need)

After going here I finally found out exactly what triggers my allergies and how I can minimize them. However, one consultation and allergy test ended up being very expensive. Although I do not regret going, I wish I had known what I was signing up for.

Michelle, the Physician’s Assistant is awesome! She’s super sweet, intellingent, and patient. Dr. Song is also just as awesome.
When it came to getting the allergen test with the small needles, I didn’t do well at all. I’m a bit of a wimp when it comes to needles — my skin is super-​duper sensitive. They typically do the test on both of your arms with 90 different allergens that they stick you with (45 on each arm). I started to get faint (mainly from fear of needles and pain), but that’s not unusual for me. They were so kind and understanding. I was only able to get through half of the allergen needle tests. They decided that the next best thing for me is to just have my blood taken which only checks for like 24 allergens versus all 90. That was perfectly fine with me, given my needle aversion!
I highly recommend them for your allergy needs.
Allergies are not fun, but finding out what specific allergens are causing the problem is paramount to getting relief! Best of luck to everyone.

I came here initially to see Dr. Song, but instead got to see his PA, Michelle and I absolutely loved talking with her. Yes, the allergy test was sucky, I do wish she told me exactly what she planned to do (Poke me with over 60 needles). But I’m a tough chick.
I had come in due to a weeks worth of major hives. Unfortunately, Michelle said that not many people find out the reason they had hives, but after some bloodwork, it came back that I was allergic to Oysters and mildly to Sesame Seeds. So the Oysters ccould be in chinese food, who knows. Anyways, they even sent the file to my primary care so I felt they were very thorough. I’ll definitely come back for all and any of my allergy needs.

If you’re looking for an allergist, definitely check out Dr Song if you are not too far.
He’s very thorough and a totally nice dude. He really tries to figure out what plagues or ails you, in terms of allergies.
I’ve been having hives and breakouts on my arms and I thought it was due to food. THANK THE LORD after a series of tests, Dr Song told me I wasn’t allergic to any LOBSTER SHELLFISH OYSTER BEEF CHICKEN… and other major foods that I can’t live without. Hallelujah.
After we found out it wasn’t food allergies, he did a more extensive test on my back to find out what basic elements I might be allergic to. In the end, he printed out the list of allergies and what the basic elements could possibly found in. He also prescribed some topical steroid ointment for my arms and I’ve been pretty itch free since visiting.
If you get hives or the itchies randomly, instead of second guessing what you’re allergic to and living in fear after every meal… get it checked out. It’s worth it to not keep doubting that tasty … delicious… seafood or four legged animal.

Do far so good. Looks like my allergies have disappeared. They first did a skin test to see what exacly I was allergic to. They told me not to take any antihistamines for 3 days prior to my initial appointment. Once I was there, I had tofill out some paperwork and then wait a little. Once I was in the dr asked a few basic questions then we did the skin test.
They mapped out a spot on my back with about 70 pricks to my back. Sounds painful but more like uncomfortable. But not as uncomfortable as my allergies themselves!
