Best surf shop experience I have ever had! These guys want you to be stoked with your equipment. I made a mistake buying a board too small and the shop worked with me to get the exact board I wanted. All around great crew that will get you exactly what you need!

Great shop. Came in looking for a wetsuit not knowing much and the staff spent close to an hour with me explaining the different options. The prices are comparable to other shops in the area. Definitely will be back.

Surf concepts is a local local Owned /​local run — cool as heck — Surfshop in Manhattan Beach. For any basic surf gear need, you got to check out Surf Concepts. The boys are super knowledgeable and always willing to help you out, wether you are an absolute beginner or an Ex-​pro, ask any question, they will treat you with respect and they know their stuff.
Nice selection of Shortboards and Funboards, great run of wetsuits, stylin surf fashion and clothes and a sick skateboard shop.
Make sure you listen to that good advice and walk out with solid gear.

This and ET are our ‘local’ Surf shops, meaning, we try to buy everything we need from one of them first before we hit the ol’ interwebs.
Recently, I’ve been looking for a Fish board, on a pretty extreme budget.
The owner was on hand one day as I was checking out the used board section (I’ve purchased 2 boards from their used section and been happy, plus saved a ton) after telling him my meager budget and desires, he asked several questions about my surfing habits, previous/​current boards, you know, personal stuff that made me feel uncomfortable.
I’m joking, the questions led to him making a size recommendation, a Fish board size rec, to be clear. The information he gave me was a great help in my search. He was less concerned with the sale and more concerned with me getting the right size and shape for my riding style. It’s why we go there and will continue to go there.
Their prices are fair, and when they have sales, there are very good deals to be had.

I went here to buy some presents. I found the manager and or owner to be some what of a d*ck. I didn’t feel welcome in the place as staff followed me as if I were trouble or making an attempt to shoplift? Who knows but was awkward, also prices are a bit higher being in Manhattan Beach. Will not be back… seen similar items online for much cheaper.

What a cool shop with cool staff. My hubby and I spent quite a bit of time in here as he was shopping for a wet suit to surf the super cold SoCal waves. The staff at this shop was so patient with him… he must have asked 146 questions, and they were so sweet and patient. They were even more patient than me. I was ready to bounce about 30 minutes into that visit, but they helped him along to make the right decision on the wetsuit.
They also had a dope sale going on where the wetsuits were 20% off. The staff provided us a lot of valuable information on the best wetsuits, and we left that shop with a spanky wetsuit. Yeah… I said spanky… wetsuits look spanky to me. They have a great selection of boards, suits, clothes, skateboards, tons of cool stuff with a cool staff. What more could you want in a shop? My hubby loves his wetsuit, and I’m sure we’ll be back.

I always cruz this shop for wax/​ding repair kits/​stickers. The staff is always super mellow and helpful. Always willing to listen to your absurd surfing stories. Theyre always in a good mood and give you little freebies with your purchases. Most likely gonna buy my new wet set their soon because I can trust these guys and their products. MY NEW LOCAL SURF SHOP!!!

Went there for a longboard to learn how to skate on and knew nothing about boards they told me everything I needed to know and helped me with a friendly face. I could have went to some corporate store but I wanted someone who actually knew what they were talking about and could give me advice and that’s exactly what they did. I will Definitely be coming back for all my surf and skateboarding needs.

I’ve been shopping here since my kids were little, about 20 years or so. I have always had a great experience and customer service. Everyone is very nice, helpful and I am always greeted with a warm welcome. I was in there right before Christmas and bought my hubby some surf booties and they were too big so I took them back without my receipt and they let me exchange them (which I was so thankful) and they printed me a new receipt. Keep up the great job, guys!!!

I hit a bump on the road with this store after many years of loving this place… We all make mistakes and have bad days… but it is what we do after that makes the difference…
You will not get the personal touch you get here from one of the McDonals like surf stores. This is a small local business that is worth supporting. Before you got drop your dough at Jacks check with SC, they have anything you are looking for and you don’t get hounded by the sales staff.

Came in yesterday and purchased a Soft roof rack for my new car.
The reason I come here is because the staff is beyond friendly and helpful.
They go above & beyond the level of service you expect from any type of business.
The staff took the time to explain products and even brought the product outside to make sure it would match up to my vehicle.
Unless I am out of Wax and happen to pass another Surf Shop on my way to the Beach I will not shop anywhere else.

This is a decent surf store with an okay selection of surfboards and wetsuits (ET Surf is better) and a good selection of clothes.
This store has a better location than the other surf shops with easier access and parking.
When they have a sale, the prices are good.
The only negative thing I have to say about this store is that this is the only surf shop that charges money for the leash strings. Every other store in the south bay that I’ve been to will give me one of these free cause I’ve been buying stuff there for years.

Great little surf shop. Stopped by with a friend on my way to Becker out in Hermosa to see if they had any good deals on used boards. Came in and met a very helpful sales guy to talk to for a while. Ended up finding a great used board for a great price. Surprised more people don’t swing in here, though I guess it’s not one of the more mainstream stores that people immediately think of in the area.
Can’t wait to head out and try my new board!
