HORRIBLE place do not GO there!!! I wish I could leave zero star. As I’m purchasing an item the sales person hands my 8 month old a keychain to play with without asking me! She of course loves this keychain!!! So I try not to be mad for her doing this but she decides she is going to take it out of her hand and make her scream and cry since the keychain is for sale!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I was speechless and I couldn’t understand what kind of a person with a right mind would do such a thing…

Another favorite of mine, this Manhattan Beach boutique has a super duper cute selection of clothing, shoes, and accessories!
A great place to look for those ultimate summer apparel staples. I’ve been able to find everything from gladiator sandals, a variety of dainty necklaces and charm bracelets, comfortable camis and rompers, to nice denim cutoffs and skinny jeans.
I highly recommend The Beehive to those of you who love to accessorize. They carry a variety of unique necklaces, bold rings and earrings, and stylish bracelet combinations.
The varying styles make it so there is truly something for everyone, they also serve as great gift items!
A spacious store with high-​energy employees, The Beehive has a bright and youthful atmosphere that welcomes all shoppers. I really admire the décor inside. Lots of elegant wood furnishings, twinkling chandeliers, antique picture frames, lightly scented candles, and fresh flowers, it’s has a charming bohemian feel to it.
The clothing brands they offer vary from higher priced designer pieces to more indie labels. I like to think of The Beehive as a more upscale version of Urban Outfitters or Anthropology.
A never overly crowded store, The Beehive is typically a very relaxing place to shop at. The employees I’ve met are very helpful and are knowledgable and know the products well, which is definitely nice. They’ve helped me on several occasions while I was assembling gift bags for family and friends.
A place to certainly check out if you’re looking for a special gift, or just hoping to find another special piece to add to your wardrobe, The Beehive will have something for you!

A very welcome surprise finding this cute boutique. I was looking for Elizabeth and James clothes in the area and went to their website. I clicked on store locator in Manhattan Beach and Beehive was listed. Walking in I wasn’t expecting to find much in my style because since moving from London I haven’t found anywhere that stocks clothes I like. But this place is a gem! And the sales items are discounted very generously which is a bonus. This has become my FAVOURITE store in LA.

The worst customer service in MB. The employees were busy talking amongst themselves and didn’t bother to say hello. The customer service is terrible especially if you’re non white. This is the second time. Other customers were greeted immediately and cheerfully.

I have been a customer of The Beehive since it opened and have to say I am surprised at some of the reviews I have seen recently. The Beehive is one of my favorite stores in Manhattan Beach. I always find something that I love and want to wear right away. I love casual clothes — that at the same time have great style and fit. There is always a t-​shirt, pair of jeans, cute cardigan, scarf or accessory.
I also love their candy wall — if I need to come in with my son — he can grab some candy while I quickly whip through the store. The clothes are a little more expensive than the cheapie places like F21 — but you will find you keep their items for several seasons. My favorite pieces this year are bright colored v neck t-​s, JBrand Star Jeans, key pieces of Brandy Melville (those pieces you won’t find in her store) Splendid, Paul & Joe Sister, Mason Scotch, American Colors (great flannels and blouses, again not found anywhere else in LA).
The girls that work at The Beehive have always been helpful and not pushy. They go out of their way at times to send me pictures on my phone when I am travelling. They keep Facebook current and just added Instagram — and they are very nice. The energy is great — and I always love walking in the door.

The Beehive was better in its old location. Since it moved to the new store, I haven’t bought a thing there. It looks like it’s desperately trying to be an upscale version of Urban Outfitters. It’s too bare to feel adequately stocked and too full (of non-​special things) to feel like a real boutique. I don’t understand why there’s an entire wall of candy. Some of it is twee «vintage» candy but some of it is stuff like Junior Mints. Um, Vons is across the street.

TheBeehive is my favorite store in Manhattan Beach (perhaps even all of west LA). My college roommate introduced me a few years ago and since then, I make a point to drive up from Orange County whenever I’m in California. Overall, its a little gem of a boutique with great merch and a laid-​back beach vibe.
Selection: I’ve been coming a few times a year, and the selection varies by season (duh) but some staples include JBrand, Splendid, 360 Cashmere, and some nicer pieces from IRO, Paul & Joe, NSF, and of course my FAVORITE EVER Elizabeth & James. There are also a few surf lines/​graphic teas, but somehow the selection has a completely different (read, better) vibe than most surf stores which I generally avoid like a plague. My fav tee is actually from here – Lady and the Sailor – and this black scoopneck I got has avoided the fate of most of my other black clothing after countless cycles through college dorm washing machines, and hasn’t faded one bit.
And okay, THE SHOES. Jeffrey Campbell is my newest obsession, initially because it gave me the necessary extra 4.5 inches to not look like the dwarf friend/​sidekick to my 5’10″ roomie/​bestie (I hold some dignity in the form of height). which oh, the Hive just so happens to carry, Dolce Vita heels – always pretty solid, Frye boots, and wait for it…*insert drumroll*

Like for real. Where do you find repettos in America, except for the sporadic stint at Saks or Bloomingdales except they’re always out of sizes/​online only? Rhetorical question, Beehive. But yeah, awesome shoes, some really cool/​cute/​unique/​funky little accessories. Wish they had more hangbags to go with those.
Last time I went it was during their 50% off sale – which you shouldn’t go to, because I don’t need any more competition – and I scored two Autumn Cashmere striped sweaters, a black silk Ever dress, and an Elizabeth & James blouse for pretty sweet prices.
Also, I’m not sure whats up with the other angry reviewers… every single time I’ve been to the Beehive the sales girls are always really sweet and helpful even when I try lots of stuff on and purchase very little. None of that buy-​stuff-​or-​get-​out attitude I get from a lot of boutiques (unfortunately). They also seem to each have their own «looks,» so you can get different «perspectives”/opinions depending on your style. It’s nice to see some quirkiness when it feels like most of the westside is stuck in cookie-​cutter mode.
P. S. grab some zotz on the way out — i can’t find my favorite fizzy candy anywhere else.

I think the review written on 5÷1÷11 is a shill. This place does not have anything less than $ 100 (unless you count accessories). What is more, the salespeople are SO PUSHY. I came in to check out a pair of jeans, and even after I said I was going to think about it, THEY KEPT PUSHING. As I looked around, the sales girls kept bringing me other pairs of jeans, but in sizes that were 4 sizes smaller than those which I had JUST tried on. When I said, «do you have a size 29,» she looked at me completely confused as if I was speaking an unintelligible language. I wanted to say, «no honey, not everyone wears a size 0, and given the fact that I just tried a 29, it seems to reason that a 24 would not fit.» She then pushed me to sign up for their updates telling me I could receive a call every time they received new merchandise. Needless to say, the salespeople could use a course in basic listening skills. Save yourself the trouble — go to Nordstrom or Barney’s where the sales people understand the concept of space.

Favorite store in Los Angeles. And yes this includes boutiques in Santa Monica, Malibu, and West Hollywood without the hassle of sitting in traffic to get there and being immersed in the cheesy Hollywood types. The girls who work here are all super sweet and helpful, especially Barbie. They have amazing brands from higher end (Elizabeth & James, J. Brand, Paul and Joe Sister, John Eshaya/​JET) to less expensive, more casual (Riller and Fount, Seneca Rising, Billabong even.). They have great sandals and swimwear in the summer, as well as inexpensive gift items. Love it here! :)

Love this place! I just visited on vacation and I left with some fun new pieces to add to my wardrobe! The girls in the store are really nice and helpful. Their merchandising and displays are top notch. Prices are great! AND who doesn’t love a wall of CANDY!?!

This place is really cute! They sell pretty clothing and yummy candy. Come here during the Manhattan Beach sidewalk sale and you are BOUND to get some amazing deals! They also have a couple racks of sale items daily. They carry high end brands as well as casual brands. They’ve got shoes and jewelry as well!
