I just have to say that not much surprises me at 66 years old but yes my visit to dr. Horne was the best surprise in the field of doctor care. Amazing. he is what you want in a doctor and more. I left the office blown away and just received a letter from him with test results and comments… I don’t think I have ever had an experience of this kind even with doctor friends. He was professional and certainly way up there in his field. The medical world and New York is lucky to have him and I was lucky for the confidence he gave me explaining my symptoms. And yes young ladies he is very good looking ‚!!!

Unfortunately they are now part of NYU Miller Practice.
Walk-​ins are difficult to say the least and the new staff scolds you for not making an appt.
If you do try to make appointments you’ll either be on hold with incompetent people or just unable to do it on zocdoc.
Shots that used to take 5 minutes now take considerably longer.
Sadly, pains me, but I’ve stopped going… after going to this office for years!
Here’s the best part — I got a notice from a collections agency for a $ 21 bill from last October! (Never got a bill — they are unbelievably clueless!)

Dr. Horne is THE allergist to see in NYC. He is on top of the latest news in his field. I went to see him with a question about my severe allergies to certain antibiotics and all nuts and, having avoided both for many years, am now thrilled that I am now able to reintroduce both into my life. Dr. Horne shared with me the latest findings about the possibilities of outgrowing certain allergies and over the next few visits worked carefully with me to safely assess this. He also helped me get medication with a zero co-​pay. Finally, he and his staff display unlimited kindness, patience and great care.

Dr. Horne was the worst allergists I have seen (compared to four others). During the «exam» there were only routine questions asks and when I asked for blood work to be conducted or a more formal examination of my condition, nothing was one. No shots, no tests, no bloodwork. He then proceeds to charge me when I ask for his «records» to be transferred to a better allergist who was able to conduct a better exam and provide an actual solution. I would highly recommend people and patients to avoid him and not waste their time and money.

Dr. Horne is the best allergist I have ever had. He is dignified and very knowledgeable about allergy and asthma related issues. However, what sets Dr. Horne apart from most doctors is that he is empathetic towards patients’ needs. I always felt like he really cared about me and tried to help me with shots and prescriptions when I felt sick. His staff are courteous and helpful too. Tracy is an awesome receptionist.

I love Dr. Horne and his office. I completely trust him, and it’s clear that he truly cares for each patient. You never wait long to be seen, the office is comfortable and the staff is super-​friendly. I recommend him to anyone who needs an allergist in NYC!

I’m a patient at the 57^th St offices and I have nothing but superlatives for Dr. Horne and the staff at Allergy and Asthma Medical. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Horne for almost three years and in that period, he’s been impressively knowledgeable, professional, and most importantly trust worthy. He gave me the best information possible about my heatlh and with that I was able to make an informed and wise decision. A great Doctor should equal great results, and I have Dr. Horne to thank for the relief of my suffering! The fact of the matter is that I’m in better health today than I was three years ago, and I have Dr. Horne to thank for that. Dr Horne has helped treat my allergies since 2006. The treatment has been excellent and it works. His staff are wonderful too. Being that my allergies are pretty bad I have found the shots to be very very helpful. I have a better overall immune system and a faster reaction time to an allergy attack. Overall much milder symptoms. Dr Horne is one of the best.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Allergy shots are very easy to manage here. I’d definitely recommend using Dr. Horne and co for any allergy issues you might have.

I made an appointment with the Physician Assistant, Lisa F, as the doctor did not have any availability the days/​times that I was free. The appointment was for a consult regarding my various allergies and what could be done about them. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and effective at putting me at ease since I was nervous in taking the necessary allergy tests. She explained exactly what she was doing during the entire process, as well as had casual conversation to keep my mind off of the tests she was performing. I don’t think that I’ve ever had a doctor’s visit where I didn’t feel rushed or more like a dollar sign, that is until now. Lisa made me feel comfortable and I plan on recommending her to anyone looking for an allergist. I can’t imagine having any better experience with my visit and highly recommend Lisa for your visit. I promise, you won’t be disappointed.

much like the previous reviewer, i was seen by Dr Horne and was not only taken aback by his appearance (yes, hes a total hottie) but his professionalism as well. Did i mentioned i called asking for an emergency appointment and was seen that same day???
I came in with severe eye allergies and he was very comforting and knowledgable. Ive been on allergy drops he perscribed and havent had a problem with redness, swelling, etc ever since.
I wish i had a reason to come back to this office sooner, but until then i’ll make sure to reccomend him :)

Because I often use Unilocal to guide me to quality Doctor’s, I owe it to the other sniffling allergic Unilocalers out there to do this review.
First of all getting an appointment was quick and easy. The location is super convenient for me, easy walk from Columbus Circle. The receptionists were nice enough, a little chatty and distracted, but that’s a vast improvement over the rude ones you hear about all the time.
Dr. Horne is the real gem here though. He is kind, easy to talk to, knowledgeable, hot, pleasant, and… wait did she just say hot? Yes. He’s well dressed and good looking, not a bad perk if I’m going to take a moment out of my free time to talk about my… shortness of breath.
But really, he listened to my history, my current treatment (I just moved to NYC and had been currently following a great regiment but needed new prescriptions). He made some great suggestions. He also had me come in for a follow up before renewing my prescriptions for a second month… a commonly overlooked step! And he did the unthinkable during my check in. He not only asked how my health was responding to the new course of treatment… he asked how my wallet was responding. He asked «How’s the breathing, how’s the symptoms, how’s the PRICE» Because let’s face it, I’m a broke artist living in NYC. He said there are plenty of medicines and treatment combinations we can try, and we can find one that my insurance covers better. Now there’s a doctor that really cares about his patients! I highly recommend!

Allergy and Asthma Medical is the office of Dr. Nathanael Horne. They’ll be opening another location next month in Midtown, but the phone number will stay the same for both locations.
First off, it was a bit confusing of finding the building (it’s to the left of the movie theater; there’s an entrance to the elevator). And once you reach the 2^nd floor, several medical offices are there and the hallways are very maze-​like. The reception area is very friendly with toy for pediatric patients.
Dr. Horne seems nice. After several visits and patch tests, we weren’t really able to find out the cause of my allergic reaction (but at least we found out some of my seasonal allergies).
Oh, during some of my visits, there was another doctor doing his residency. Nice dude.
