Pre travel health care, including a personalized country specific health risk analysis, vaccinations, prescriptions for malaria prevention, travel health supplies. Customers include major News Organizations — like CNN, CBS News, 60 minutes, other major corporations like IBM, Ernest and Young and others. Leisure travelers, study abroad, visiting family and friends, religious travels etc.

International Travel Health Consultants was founded by Rajiv Narula MD, in Poughkeepsie NY, and the NYC location was added in 2000. We have provided these services for thousands of travelers, at both of our locations. We sincerely believe in providing an individualized service, that includes all aspects of travel health issues that may be relevant on your trip. Dr. Narula has been quoted in several leading publications and news media — including New York times, Wall Street Journal, Poughkeepise Journal, Times Herald Record.

Business Owner
Dr. Narula has a unique and diverse background. He was born in India attended school in the Himalayan foothills. In 1976 he immigrated to the United States.
His undergraduate education was completed at Boston University, Massachusetts and he went on to attend medical school at St. Georges University, Grenada, West Indies. This was right after the U.S. invasion so it proved to be both exciting and challenging, at times, with an inconsistent power and water supply! Dr. Narula also had the opportunity to experience the National Health Service during a nine month rotation in the United Kingdom.
From 1992 – 1993 he had the privilege of being chief resident in the Family Practice residency at St. Marys Hospital, Hoboken, NJ. Family Practice encompasses care of the whole person and covers all ages of the patient population. His personal philosophy is to optimize an individuals total wellbeing and he incorporates nutrition, exercise and meditation into his practice to help facilitate this.
