Dr Megan Thomasch

Dr Thomasch is excellent. She diagnoses things with spot on precision, making me feel confident when I visit with her. She also has a great bedside manner, is pleasant and always takes the time to talk to you, and is very personable while still being professional. You never feel rushed.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thomasch for about 8 years. As another reviewer stated, even if she doesn’t see you often, there’s a level of familiarity and genuine concern that is rare to find. She doesn’t take my new insurance, and I’m switching insurance just so I don’t lose access to her.

I had a bad experience with Dr. Thomasch. I came for a physical that was perfunctory and irresponsible. I had to try to get a word in as she told me standard jibe without listening to me. She did not listen to my heart (in an annual physical!) and any serious issue that I may have had would certainly have been missed had I not spelled it out. If you are seeking a doctor to help you monitor your health, I would look for someone else. Definitely will not return and now seeking another physician for another (actual) annual physical and primary care physician care.

Dr. Thomasch is competent and personable. I have worked with her for six years now and she has been consistently attentive, thorough, prompt, easy to talk to. When I have an urgent health matter, she responds on the same day, and I have been able to see her quickly. I recommend her to friends and clients.

She’s been my doctor for about seven years. I like her and trust her. She is great about returning phone calls and letting me know about test results. She listens well and explains issues thoroughly.
Only downside (and it is a downside) is that it can be hard to reach them on the phone or make an appointment.

Dr. Thomasch is the best doctor I have been to! Both my husband and I have been seeing her for years now and we have sent many friends there. Dr. T is very good at her job, thorough in her exams and questions. Very knowledgeable and approachable, which is the best combination in a doctor. I have been to other doctors where I did not feel comfortable asking questions and I have never felt this way with Megan. The staff there has also always been very helpful, getting us in the day of when we are sick, helping us sort through insurance billing questions, and even entertaining my young son while I was with Dr. Thomasch.
With Dr. Thomasch, you feel like she really cares about you, remembers your name, your family members, what you like to do and even you last vacation. It makes you feel that you are more than just another number, but that she has a vested interest in you.
A few years ago, I had a true ER emergency that was very frightening to deal with and Dr. Thomasch was extremely helpful during the after math and followup treatments, she will get right on the phone with other doctors to track down info or share info that may help with your treatment.
On a side note, she is really cool, if she was not my doctor I would want to hang out with her!

If you are a new patient, the doctor has no time for you. Appointments are scheduled 3 – 4 months out and if something comes up for you and you need to reschedule, get back in the 4 months line! Imagine if you actually need to see a doctor. Doesn’t matter how good the doctor is if she is not accessible. Avoid.

What I really like about her is that
1. she remembers you, even when you only see her once or twice a year.
2. she is sensitive and listens to what you have to say.
3. she cares; back in November, I required emergency surgery for sciatica, and she made the call to a specialist herself in order to accomodate me.
the front office staff is not the friendliest (what is it with medical receptionists? They always act like they are doing you a favor; shouldn’t they be more sensitive when you are in pain? But I digress…) but once you get in to see her, you will feel taken care of.
