No doctors available for over 48 hours. And its always like that with them. Dr Cassano they said didn’t have appts for months lol. Horrendous office, terrible staff. I decided to write this review when after already having called and cancelled the appt I set (because a real doctor’s office took me within the hour that I called), I got an auto call telling me I still have my appt. losers and deadbeats. move along

I had originally written a review, and taken it down because I felt it was a little harsh, but completely true and accurate. Then I realized I was then being treated poorly by the doctors office BECAUSE of that review
So here it goes again and then some
I had seen Dr. Zafar for the first time and gotten a phone call from her that my diabetic numbers were bad and should call her «Right away» I of course thought for the worst and called her immediately and got no information on the phone nor the doctor
I requested a call back and got none.
for three days following I called the doctors office frantically trying to get information
Nothing, no one, no response
It wasn’t until four days later that I called to demand to speak to the manager. It was only then that the doctor decided to come to the phone. She didn’t apologize she merely said she had personal problems, Which I understand however it would be nice to have someone call me back especially a diabetic who is frantic about bad news delivered by that office
This is when I wrote my original review of this office stating exactly what I have just said.
Being a patient of this office, I still had to call to request refills of prescriptions. I got no refills of my medicines and no answer as far as when they will get called in and no answer at all, For that matter.
I realized at that moment I was being shunned by the doctors office for the review that I had previously posted which was completely true and not written maliciously
I then secured a new doctor and called Dr. Zafar’s office to request records to be faxed to the new doctor I of course got a machine and left my information on the machine requesting records be transferred with my phone number in case anyone had to speak to me
of course I got no call back and I got a phone call from my new doctor saying they did not receive the records from dr Zafar. now I’m in my third and fourth phone call back to the records department of dr Zafar and my appt with new doctor is tomorrow
Anything that could have possibly gone wrong, went wrong, and anything they could have done to fix the problem, did not happen
Dr. Zafar, you might be a good doctor, but you failed me, and your office compounded the problem terribly
You must wear this review like a badge of honor, Because it’s 100% true and accurate

Dr. Kelly Casano is a great doctor but you can never get in to see her and you have to see the PA’S one of the PA’s that I’ve seen is not good at all. Most of the staff is rude and not caring. This is a very unorganized office. They always send bills saying insurance didn’t cover anything, after you call they say oh, it’s a mistake, this has happened several times. They are always billing for more money and its fake.
This office itself is lovely but stay away from the rude staff who hates their jobs, the billing department who are shifty and trying to cheat the patients and medical doctors you cant get into see unless you want a PA who’s not good.

Doctors and nurses are professional and lovely. Receptionists are crass and unfriendly; do not concentrate on their work, refer to patients as retarded and use curse words among themselves in clear earshot of the waiting area.

My 5 Stars is for Dr. Kelly Cassano only, who has been aligned with WPM for many years and has been my doc since 2000. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable. medically, but more so, it’s the attention, care and her ability to make you feel at ease (aka bedside manner) that differentiates her from any other Dr. I’ve ever been to. She’s also has a decent sense of humor… in a kind of dry-​understated-​BayRidge kind of way, which is always a good thing when someone one wants to stick a needle deep in your arm to draw blood. The overall WPM office is good to above average in regards to appointments, calling in for refills… blah, blah, blah. Their new offices are pretty nice and very centrally located near all train lines. If you can get Dr. Cassano to be your GP… you’ve won the medical lottery, but at this point… you might as well play the lottery, since she’s in very high demand. Also, shout out to PA Tony Flanders — another good person to see if you need attention ASAP and can’t get an appt. with Dr. C. (Wow…did you notice that last sentence was a like a medical, hip hop rhyme??? I wasn’t even trying!!!)

The place is a joke. The receptionist are rude and very unprofessional. While I was trying to speak to the receptionist she was ordering her lunch and gossiping with her co-​worker. Have some fucking curtesy and at least put the patient on hold. Is too bad that I have to change my doctor.

Second update — today is Monday and not only am I feeling a million x worse, I decided to visit one of the walk-​in clinics at Duane Reade to see someone and hopefully get relief. They ran a simple swab test to tell me what I told incompetent dummy at the doctors office last week — I have strep throat. I guess the doctor was too lazy to be bothered with testing me to see if this was the problem last week, but I’m sure they’ll have no problem billing my insurance. Idiots. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT go here!

It really is a great place.
I am a young female and was terrified the first time I had to go to an ob-​gyn. Margarita Olivares is funny, very kind and caring, answers all questions, explains diagnosis and treatment, and even calls a few days later just to check in! I love that woman and recommend her to everybody.
The only con is the reception. Receptionists can be quite rude sometimes when dealing with insurance forms and questions. It has happened to me that I was in pain and told by ER doctors to schedule an appointment with my gyn, and when I called the office, they put me on hold for over 20 minutes.

Drs are good but people working there are utterly incompetent and rude, couldnt care at all, really unacceptable treatmnet!

Arrived to my appointment of 5:45 at 5:30. It is currently 7 pm and I still have not been seen. The office has barely any seating for the long line of people waiting to be seen. There is a lack of patient privacy because the rooms are so close together. You can plainly see into the room when the door is open. The clinician present is non– apologetic. Will not return here after today.

The problem isn’t Dr. German Rodriguez, he’s great! The problem is the staff. I called when I was very sick and was told that the doctor would get back to me that day and nothing. No returned phone call from anybody.
This isn’t the first time this has happened.
My husband had a similar situation with regards to phoning in a prescription to our pharmacy. They just didn’t do it.
We found a new doctor in a new practice.
I think the staff at Westpark should really take a look at what they’re doing.
For those reasons I’m giving them a bad review.

I agree with most of the other reviews. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lurie for a number of years and have always had positive feelings about our appointments once she is in the room with me. The biggest challenge with this practice is their lack of organization and follow though. Every time I’ve ever called with a question their response is that they can’t get in touch with a doctor, they don’t have a copy of my chart, there aren’t any appointments available, etc. and I should just go to a walk-​in clinic if I need something timely (which kind of defeats the point of having a regular doctor). It’s difficult to schedule appointments here, and they NEVER remember to call in a prescription. I stuck with them for a long time but recently decided to call it quits.

STAY AWAY!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
If I could give this place negative stars I would. I have never posted a Unilocal review in my entire life, but I was so outraged by my experience here that I had to share. I agree with all of the negative reviews below me. The receptionists and the front desk staff are RUDE, and have NO CLUE what is going on, they are clearly just there to collect a pay check. When you call, they’ll ask to put you on a «brief hold» which ends up being so long that your call gets disconnected. If they actually do speak to you, they will not be able to answer a single question and they are extremely short with you.
As for DR. LURIE, she is TERRIBLE and does NOT CARE about her patients. I had blood work done and she scared me telling me that there was a crucial result I needed and she would call me in about 3 days. It has now been 3 WEEKS later, and I still have not heard back from her. On top of that, I have called the office 4 TIMES, and have NOT received 1 call back from her. I have signed a HIPAA RELEASE that has not been honored, and I still have not had access to my bloodwork results which is MY RIGHT.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY THE WORST PRACTICE I HAVE EVER SEEN AND EVERYONE THERE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. As someone who will be attending medical school next year, I am appalled that someone like this was granted a license.

Maybe office system is horrible that doctors don’t have a time to returning the call and talk for any resort of test.
Ive been going there about 10years, but no more.
I’ve had a miscarriage experience (I’m not blaming on them) and now I’m pregnant again and doctor doesn’t call me back for 1week for tell me about the blood test.

I honestly have never written a review on Unilocal,but felt the need to let all pregnant ladies who think this could be a good choice… To STAY AWAY from this practice!!!
I had chosen Dr. Amy Huang and thought was OK, but the whole experience was horrendous. They cancelled my first Pregnancy appointment THREE times, so I went to see her when I was 12 weeks along, barely there to have my first Nuchal Screening. The Sergeant in the front, sorry, the Receptionist has NO knowledge of customer service. Rudeness from the first call…
The nurses, I am so sorry, but very unprofessional. Before she was going to take blood from me, she was rolling her eyes at me because she was arguing with another Nurse. While I was with her, she was asking me the most inappropriate questions about my pregnancy.
To end this horrible experience, the bill for my urine, and blood came to me yesterday and it’s $ 1500 billed directly to me, because they were so lazy of not inputting my Insurance (I have Empire Blue Shield) which obviously I am fully covered.
Also, the gender test (blood work) was lost in the Hospital that Dr. deals with and I never received the results…
I have obviously changed Doctor and I’m very happy! There are no excuses for having such a HORRID service, call it New York City, Stress, etc. especially when you are pregnant and expecting another life!

I’m very surprised by the negative reviews of Dr Heather Lurie. I’ve seen her a few times over the passed few months and she has been great. She does not sugar coat things, and is very point blank. If you want a doctor that treats you like a sweet old grandmother, she is probably not for you. She found a (benign) lump in my breast and recommended me straight away to a specialist. She also coordinated and inserted my IUD, and was very thorough. I would rather have a doctor who gives it to me straight, so Dr Lurie is the best for me.

First, the team of nurses are fab! They are efficient, kind, and capable. That being said I enjoyed my time and interaction with the staff, I was in and out in an decent amount of time. Secondly, Dr Adamain is knowledgable but at the same time very arrogant in her approach and very loquacious in her own views medically as well as personally. I did not enjoy my visit with her, I felt we were debating about my level of care, she continually spoke over me and shouted at times to be heard. She was more concerned with what she thought personally I should do or don’t do based on how she felt, instead of giving me the best level of care based on my history as a patient.
I walked away feeling very unhappy and very annoyed. Not her best day. That was «MY EXPERIENCE.» Thank you in reading this. Will not be returning back and would NEVER RECOMMEND HER!

Utter nightmare — I would avoid this doctor’s office at all costs — so much paperwork stress resulting from the most routine visit.
Every week brings a new $ 200 bill from my annual exam three months ago. Every time I call my health insurer, they say the visit (and bloodwork, shots, etc resulting from this very routine visit) should be 100% covered, but the doctor coded it wrong and they are not allowed to change the doctor’s code.
Every time I call the doctor to get it fixed, my efforts are delayed and met with utter confusion from the staff (or doctor?). My insurer is even having trouble getting in touch with them. I never thought I would be siding with my health insurance company, but this is ludicrous.

I was not feeling well and made an appointment on a Monday to be seen on the following day.
To my shock when I arrived at the office I was told that not only did they not have my appointment on file, but they did not have my medical records. (My previous primary care doctor’s practice merged with West Park Medical; I was told that my documents would be transferred).
Three different receptionists claimed that I was not in the system and thus could not be seen by a doctor. Even after I showed them an e-​confirmation of my appointment I was met with heavy skepticism, rolling eyes, and was treated like a nuisance. When I called the office to somehow clarify the issue I was told that I was a liar. I had to resort to going to a walk-​in clinic instead.
Calling a patient who isn’t feeling well a liar? Horrible.
I don’t have any comments to make the doctor’s at this practice as the front staff made it impossible for me to see them!

5 stars for Dr. Brown– she is amazing! Friendly, calming, smart, and definitely knows her stuff!
1.5 stars for the office staff — they aren’t horrible, but aren’t overly friendly — deducted some points here for access to their phone — supposed to open at 9am, when one morning I tried calling until 925am and still no answer.
2 stars for the wait time– I usually have to wait about 30 min before I get to see the doctor and they do double book them, from what i’ve heard

I actually originally came here for a doctor that actually left a few months ago who referred me to Dr. Markman. I’ve only ever had good experiences with Dr. Markman. She never hurries me out and answers all of my questions. When I call in with questions, she’ll call me back and let me know. The staff there is also decent and gets me my results promptly.
One slight problem is that the wait can be a bit long sometimes… but it doesn’t happen that often and is much better compared to some other doctors in the city.

I am only reviewing on my service that i received on the day of ⁸⁄₁₈.
Its my first medical visit in New York City, so I found some positive reviews about Dr. Carol Larson so i went with her as my PCP.
Receptionists was okay, not super friendly but not mean, straight to the point. Didn’t bother me.
I got seen right away, didn’t even finish filling my paperwork, awesome.
The nurse was sweet and nice and i was well care for.
Dr. Carol Larson is a sweet lady, she related to me because we both lived in San Francisco and she asked me questions, answered my questions and was thorough with things i was concerned for.
She didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all and i felt like i could ask her anything.
