Pros: Violet is very knowledgeable and will tell you exactly what you need and good recommendations for skin. Cons: I suggest you put your hair up in a bun and also cover it with scarf or hair bonnet. The white dust from derma gets Everywhere in your ears your hair and shirt. (since not a spa no robe or towel provided at least not to me. My black hair was covered in dust? It was on my ears as well .) i like my treatment despite of this and next time I plan on getting facial which is not included with derma package I bought.

I was given a Groupon package of three microdermabrasion treatments as a gift.
This review is only for services of aesthetician, Violet, as I have never seen the other doctors/​technicians at this business.

Violet is awesome!
She is the lovely, sweet «Auntie» I never knew I always wanted.
Her treatments were extremely thorough and beyond what I had expected. There is a complete intake given to determine the state of your skin.
I was given multiple microderm passes on both face and neck, each of my three visits. There was not a millimeter untouched, unlike some other places I have been who are stingy with the amount of treatment time/​area covered. After treatment, I was given an additional mild treatment specialized to meet the needs of my skin. Not sure if this is given for every patient but I really appreciated the extra attention, thank you! The results have been very good.
Violet took her time to get to know my skin and also get to know me as a person, which made me know I was getting the best treatment.
I will absolutely return as a regular client.
The receptionist is a sweetheart and very accommodating, with a professional demeanor.
Things to be aware of:
— Atmosphere
This is a doctor’s office. The business name «spa» is misleading. The atmosphere is clinical and brightly lit. Etc.
But the service was kick-​ass, so I didn’t mind. I went to yoga the next day for my Zen.
If you want the waterfall music, this isn’t your jam.
— Location
The office is located deep in a medical building, and I spent some time wondering around 14^th street searching for it.
It’s the «New York Eye and Ear Infirmary».
Things I would fix:
— The ladies room is down the hall, very busy and not clean
— Violet is only there two days a week, I believe, which makes schedule sometimes difficult
