Jimmy Wong, MD

Decided to change doctors because my original doctor didn’t take my insurance. Stumbled on Jimmy Wong and like the reviews I saw on Unilocal and zocdoc. I had an appt on next week monday unfortunately I gotten sick and couldn’t wait so I went in friday. The office was small and lavender purple kind of lame. And the front desk ladies were catty. You better speak chinese or they won’t treat you nice. They were also gossipy about the patient on the other side of the phone. One of the receptionist said after hanging up to the patient, «I can’t believe she ask for a deal. Can you go to Mcdonald and ask for a deal?» and they were nonstop complaining and making fun of the patient for over half an hour. Um ever heard of a sliding scale? and yes mcdonald does have deals; its called daily promotions like 99 nuggets. But anyways, when I finally saw the doctor, the rooms were so tiny. Jimmy wong gave me some grief that I did a walk in. It was like 5 minutes back and forth of why I didn’t come in on my appt time and he doesn’t do walk in. I have to explain that I was sick and I need a doctor note. And the appt was next monday. Thats when he is like oh I thought u missed your appt this monday so you decided to come in today. psh. so if you’re sick go to the ER? Anyways the examination was very straightforward not much empathy. So I’m switching doctors now. It didn’t work out like I read in other reviews.

Dr. Wong Jr is a quick talker. Time spent is 6 – 10 minutes. He calls you once he has the bloodwork report. That is unheard of. The others auto-​schedule you to go over the report in detail and lining their pocket at the same time

I visited Jimmy Wong office for my canadian immigration exam and I would like to recommend him to everybody in the area. He is very competent and everything took me less than an hour. Also the doctor listened my concerns and advised all solutions. He is a brilliant doctor. Thank you again!

Dr. Wong is an excellent physician. He is caring, polite and knowledgeable. He is always concerned about my healthcare and makes every attempt to contact me with my labs results and test results. I cannot tell you how rare that is for a health care provider to do. He is the best and I intend to keep him as my primary care physician for the rest of my life. Thank you Dr. Wong

Dr. Wong is a compassionate doctor who listens to your concerns carefully and examines symptoms thoroughly. I like his conservative approach to prescribing antibiotics and steroids. He only wrote prescriptions after carefully observing symptoms that developed over a period of time and warranted it. He is also responsive to my reactions to medicines and flexible in using different types of medicines to achieve the same effect. And what is so rare, is that he follows up to see how patients are doing. He cares about his patients and it is evident in everything he does, including having friendly and helpful nurses and staff in the office. I would highly recommend Dr. Wong!

Dr. Wong is the best doctor I have ever had. He is very attentive, compassionate, and thorough with his exams. He explains everything and that makes me feel comfortable every second that I am there.

Dr. Wong is a fantastic doctor. He listens to your concerns, is easy to talk to and genuinely cares about your well being. He personally calls you to follow up on your health as he strives to give you the best possible care! His office is well maintained, clean and they are efficient. My parents are his patients and they like that Dr. Wong patiently explains each process so there is minimal anxiety. He puts them at ease and they enjoy their visits with him. We LOVE him and would highly recommend him.

Dr. Wong is easy to talk to and always gives the best advice possible on helping with illness. He is thorough and complete when he does his examinations. He is not one of those doctors who would say that he would call and end up never calling. When I had my blood tests done, he called me immediately after he received the results. The nurses and staff in the office are very friendly and do their best to accommodate the patients. Sometimes there is a wait at the office, especially in the winter seasons, but so far I have not waited over 10 minutes to see Dr. Wong.

Dr. Wong is an excellent doctor. I have been seeing him for my thyroid and Anxiety problems for years. He is very easy to talk to and will take the time to explain things to you even if he has other patients waiting.

He has always been patient with me and never arrogant even when I question him on medication that he is giving me. He even surprised me one time by calling me to explain that he had received my test results and that everything was fine and to just keep an eye on my liver functions. Most doctors won’t even bother unless I call them.

He is very organized and thorough, the nurse in his office once even show me my medical history file with a picture of me in the computer system that can also printout
my long-​term medications without writing on a pad. This definitely helps in avoiding mix up and mistakes.

Finally, His hours are always flexible enough that I can always conveniently go see him when I need to, without making complex appointments or having to wait a long time. Most importantly, Dr. Wong leaves me with an impression that he really CARES
about his patients !
