Yes, he’s elderly and makes you feel rushed but he knows his sh*t. I get my acupuncture treatment for allergies from him and really there’s no one better. He gets it done with 4 needles as opposed to 12 like other places. His office is small and the treatment room is converted closet but I always get better after seeing him and he wi make special trips uptown to treat me in the evenings. He takes insurance by will work with you on the price if you don’t.

Dr Han gave me a nonsurgical non invasive acupuncture face lift and he used an instrument that uses sonic waves to lift the face not a laser. It was unbelievable! I am so happy about this I can’t tell you! We have to use all of the little bit of money we have towards my recovery. My hubby just purchased health insurance for me with money we dont have he had to take out a loan since we lost our health insurance or at least the one my doctors take. I just turned 50 and my face was showing signs of aging or that is what I thought it was. Because of how we need to spend our money I can’t afford Botox. What I thought were signs of aging was Nueropathy in my face Great I get it all! I must be special!
Anyway my face had what many who have HIV get (though I do not have HIV) That sunken look. I can’t afford Juvederm or any of the shots that people get when they have that or just plain old signs of aging. Mine was just on one side and Dr Han fixed it! No pain no down time no redness (and I turn red at the least little thing as white as I am) I am so happy! Plus he doesn’t change the price a spa would!
In addition, because of Dr Han I have avoided at least 3 surgeries for health complications. Things that Western medicine only does cutting for. One of the surgeries I read can be fatal after 50 so acupuncture can be life saving!
I was not going to Dr. Han as often as I should because of all the snow going out in snow and ice can be dangerous for me. But with my main condition most in the US end up in wheel chairs. But in China they do not. So I am going to start going more often so I can recover as soon as the weather clears up! Who knows when that will be!

I have to agree with «Bratty K.» who said, «I’m a believer that acupunture can treat and heal ailments that western medicine would treat with surgery and heavy medication.»
Currently Dr. Han is treating me for a couple of injuries I got running around: my knee, which I banged on New Year’s day; and my shoulder, which I sheepishly admit I injured when I fell less than a foot at home, but still managed to throw way out of whack. (I also had the flu this past week and am still not 100% from that, so I mentioned that today. Dr. Han is a holistic healer and treats the whole person.)
With the help of acupuncture treatments from Dr. Han – as well as chiropractic adjustments from my chiropractor – I’ve been able to manage the chronic pain as well as get the bones and muscles back into alignment. In this way, I’ve been able to avoid both drugs and surgery, and for a reasonable price. It’s been several weeks, and gradually it’s working; I say that’s magic.

Just got treatment for back pains. Dr. Han is the man. The store is a little hard to find and a bit unconventional; nevertheless, he gets the job done.

I hate lo leave him a bad review but I really tried to like him and really hoped he knew what he was doing (because being so old I still believe he should know what he is doing).
His sessions are the cheapest you could find anywhere in the NY area (and out). The acupuncturist is an old old old Chinese man who barely speaks English so it’s really hard to communicate with him. When you go in for the first visit he barely asks any questions about your health history, he just asks what your problem is (without going in dept) and starts sticking needles in you.
He is definitely not delicate, so if you are scared of needles this is not the place to go. The office is pretty filthy too.
I was really hoping he could help me, I decided to try him out based on his prices and the other review here on Unilocal.Unfortunately it didn’t work out for me, after 1 month of intense acupuncture 2x/​week, nothing changed at all — I just got some bruises from the needles but that’s not what I was hoping to see as a result.
I gave him 2 starts for the effort although he deserves 1 based on my experience. I feel terrible doing this but this is my experience.
BTW, don’t even try sending him an email as he doesn’t respond to those. I still believe he should know what he is doing, his method didn’t work for me though and he also told me I would have seen results in 2 months (not 1), while other doctors used to say 6 months, but I was tired of all the bruising (which never happened with other acupuncturists).
