Pas de Deux Salon

I WILL FOLLOW JUNE TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH! She’s been my regular stylist for about four years, and the minute I got engaged in 2013, I knew it was only a question of waiting until I could book her for my September 2015 wedding.
June is personable and so, so talented. She was able to take about three different inspiration pictures and put them together to create my hairstyle in a way that was totally organic. I felt glamorous and modern and classic. Four months later, and my Maid of Honor is still talking about how she needs a blowout like the one June gave her every day.

The best every way you put it. Tomo and team do great haircuts and are just great people in general. Always enjoy my hour there. Wouldn’t go anywhere else, unless Caroline left and then I would be forced to follow her.

I have been going to see TOMO for about 2 years now and he is absolutely the BEST. He takes his time and does an excellent job. I have long black straight hair and he always made it look flowing yet neat. He is also reasonably priced for the work he does. 100% recommend him.

My coworker recommended I try this salon and Stella specifically as the stylist when I started considering cutting my hair short. She and three other coworkers have had their hair cut with her, so I knew I would be in good hands. Stella was so great at listening to my concerns and calming my nerves before cutting over a foot of my hair. She was patient and showed my some tips and tricks for styling. You could tell that Stella and all of the stylists at the salon pay great attention to detail and genuinely love what they do. It is pricey, but worth the splurge for a great cut. Overall, a great experience. I look forward to my next haircut!

As good as it gets… hidden gem! Tomo has been cutting my hair since 2009. He is so talented and such a lovely person. I completely trust his hands and would recommend him to anyone! Never a bad cut, he is reliable and solid.
Iris is wonderful for color. Knowledgable and listens to what you want.
To make matters even better the salon is just beautiful. Very simple& elegant like the name. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

I love Pas De Deux. I’ve been going here for over a year and I can’t recommend it highly enough. I regularly get my hair cut by Tomo. I love the fact that he doesn’t talk my ear off. I think he senses that this is a relaxation experience for me and he quietly goes about snipping, lulling me into a state of near hypnosis. I generally let him decide how he feels like styling my hair and he hasn’t disappointed yet. Currently sporting a (dare I say) chic bob that has got loads of compliments. I can also recommend Iris who is a colourist. The hair-​washing ladies give a mean scalp massage too.

Wow! I can not begin to describe how amazing my experience was at this beauty salon. It is a very wonderful cool place to go, they will help you decide if you are unable to decide of what to have done with your hair, very friendly atsmophere, very friendly, and fun.

Tomo is as good as they come, both as a stylist and as a person. He and his staff are wonderful, and do an amazing job.

I’d give this place a six if I could and I’m flabbergasted by the negative reviews. I trust Stella with my locks more than I trust myself. After a few years of following her guidance — and following her from another salon — I had a temporary moment of weakness (~breakup) where I simply asked her to do what, in her experience, would look\ great on me. A foot later, did she ever. I cried for a week, to be sure (I was a depressed girl!) but everyone in my life thinks it looks amazing, and now so do I. Once, Stella was out of town when I HAD to have it cut (bad planning on my part) and Tomo did a wonderful job filling in. Love this place!

Nowhere in this world can I find a better stylist than Tomo! I live in Maryland and won’t let anyone else cut my hair but him and will travel to New York every three months for him to cut my hair. I have been going to Tomo for 7 years and recently couldn’t make it up to NY so I decided to bite the bullet and let someone else cut it. I immediately called Tomo crying after my haircut and Tomo fixed my cut shortly thereafter. I will never let anyone else cut it again! You will never find a better stylist than Tomo!

Tomo is not a stylist — he’s a sculptor whose medium is hair. I needed a guaranteed great cut for my wedding and after talking with him for a few minutes he nailed it. His skill is worth it alone but the ambiance and washing are also very well done. Highly recommended!

Anthony has been cutting my hair for years. I just went there yesterday and he butchered my hair. When I called the salon the receptionist was wonderful. Anthony called me back and argued with me —how I liked my hair the night before. When I say he butchered my hair I am not exaggerating. It ended up he just argued with me. He argued with me, and ultimately didn’t try and keep a customer. Really appalling. Again Claudia was great. She returned my call and the owner offered me another service.

Everything from the shampooers to the style is nice. I got a cut with Anthony and he put time and energy into it. He cuts hair to fit your face and it looks amazing. I’ll definitely go back!

OK, here it goes. I needed a place to get my hair cut close to where I work… I tried this salon today, and may I say it does not get any better than this. I walked in, was greeted by a nice gentleman who asked for my coat and knapsack. I sat down and was then escorted to get my eyebrows waxed and cleaned. The artist took her time and did a wonderful job… no rushing at all. I was then asked to change and put a robe on so my hair would not go on my shirt… after that I was given a shampoo/​head massage and may I say that too was a wonderful experience… a nice conversation, then off to get my hair cut. Antony, was kind and did a great job… the best haircut I received in my life. He took his time and made certain everything was done to perfection. Yes, it was expensive, but you get what you pay for. And what I got is a great haircut and eyebrow wax/clean-up…nuff said. The staff is super friendly too! I would highly recommend this salon. Thanks all

I came here for a haircut on a whim. The staff, cut and the ambience were all great. but the price list was steep.

I couldn’t hide my surprise, and happiness when I heard that Fumi Nagai is now working on a regular basis at the new Pas de Deux Salon.
I am a singer songwriter who moved from Paris to NY few years ago, and I had the chance to work with Fumi on a photo shoot and on my last music video. Her creativity and her outstanding talent really helped me feeling gorgeous in front of the camera, and I’m always looking forward to hire her whenever I can… but knowing that she’s now at Pas de Deux is really exciting! I might see her now more often for many different occasion, which is really great… and I recommend her to anyone who wants to feel special on a special occasion, especially weddings;)

I’m a fashion photographer and have been working with Fumi for a few years. On her recommendation I took on Stella for my latest job to do hair. I can’t speak highly enough of both; their professionalism, creativity and work ethic.
Fumi was able to work under tight time constraints and at each turn perfecting my vision which was haphazardly communicated in the chaos of being on set.
Stella was quick with an eye to detail, really helping me to find the hairstyle best suited for the model. She did a phenomenal job with little direction.
