My husband went to pick up an order and had to wait longer than expected. When it was finally ready, he went to pay for the pizza and saw it was the wrong size. The cashier threw in another pizza(large deluxe) free of charge for the inconvenience. Nice guys, THANKYOU! You know how to treat your customers!

Don’t even want to give them 1 star… The management is terrible… First they delivered the wrong order to our house. The person’s order they did have had ordered some of the stuff we had so we just started eating. After realizing the order was wrong, we call the place. They refused to bring us our food, they refused to refund our money bc we wouldn’t return the half eaten order and they told us that they would never deliver to us again! This place is terrible! If you live in Richmond Heights order from the Clayton Imo’s. They are kind and got are order correct and even after I offered to pay extra for delivery; they told me it wasn’t a problem and that they hear how bad the maplewood imo’s is everyday!

I’d like to review the pizza, but I’m still waiting for it. I ordered 3 pizzas online at 5:52 and was told they would be ready by 6:12. It’s 6:25 and I’m told that it will be another 15 minutes minutes until my pizzas are ready. Maybe someone forgot to make them? Edit: finally at 6:35 my pizzas are ready… as a side note, a man and his grandson were ordering when I first arrived at 6:25. They were eating their pizza before I left with mine.

I usually order from the Imos on Hampton or the Imos in Clayton. I chose this one because it’s only 1.5 miles away from my home. It took over an hour for my small cheese pizza, side salad, and soda to be delivered. It was disappointing and my pizza was cold but the kicker was that the food reeked of cigarettes! And my soda cup actually had ash on the bottom of it. Go to another Imos!

Terrible service. The building is run down and the pizza takes twice as long than what they quoted you, even though there are five employees and no customers. They will ignore you while you are standing and waiting for your order. Luckily these are franchised and there are better locations.

The person who answered the phone was rude. Not comfortable ordering from there. The pizza was ok but takes much longer than what they promised. They need to change the tongue when they talked to their customers.

Imos is specifically Midwest, so I don’t expect many to enjoy it. However, in my «Truly Missouri» opinion, it’s great. Perfect amount of spices, crunchy thin cracker crust, and best of all: they deliver in a proper time frame. Also, you can order an unsweetened iced tea, which is unheard of for most pizza delivery joints.

Pizza itself is good. The problem here is the service at this specific location. If you order delivery you are lucky to get it in 2 hours. Once had the delivery driver actually show up after THREE hours. The place is 5 blocks away. My fat butt should have walked there, but really 3 hours to make and drive a pizza 5 blocks?
Once mentioned the length of the wait after calling in to find out if they even got my order and got nothing but lip from the person on the phone. Asked for a manager and was blown off, and hung up on. Immediately called back and the wuss didn’t answer the phone. Cancelled my order.

Pizza was good but the service at this location is horrible. First off if you have a teenager that can’t talk or listen while taking orders-don’t have him work the front order station. At 1 pm on a weekday I was the only customer in the place. You would think I would get good service –WRONG. They forgot to make a salad. The tables were covered with food. All this while employees were joking around with each other and not working the resturant. This is the second time in one month I have had bad serice at this location of IMOs. I will never go back!!!

This review is for this specific location. Do NOT do delivery. I ordered pizza for lunch on a Wednesday… pizza arrive 1hr and 40min later…1 hour after the estimated delivery time and pizza was luke-warm. I love Imo’s, was disappointed with this service:(

First off, I am writing this review specifically for the big bend imo’s pizzeria, and it is in no way directed toward the fine folks running the corporate office and many wonderful imos locations throughout the general St. Louis area. I should have hung up the phone right when I started getting ‘tude from the girl taking my order. Would it kill you to act like I didn’t just ruin your day by calling at 2:45 on a Wednesday afternoon? You wanna play it like that? Cuz I’ll play it like Lionel Richie, all night long lady! I’m currently procrastinating writing a paper so I’m leaving no stone unturned with this review. Now what we have here at the big bend location is the Achilles heel of the Thaddeus P. Imo conglomerate. They’re doing their best to tarnish the good imo name one undercooked, slowly delivered za at a time. I guarantee u five baboons with some dough and provel could whip up a better za than the degenerates they have working there now. Take some pride in your work for the love of God.

Don’t ever pre-tip on your credit card!!! I did this for the first time tonight and I only live 2 min tops from this restaurant… When you order online and pay with credit card it forces you to tip ahead of time instead of when the pizza is delivered. They have always been fast in the past and figured a $ 3 tip on top of the $ 2 delivery charge on a $ 17 total would be enough to hopefully take care of me. It was the opposite in that my pizza was the last in his car to be delivered(definitely not hot n fresh) almost 30 min past the estimated time of delivery. I love some Imo’s pizza, but learned the hard way when the delivery driver already has your tip $ in his pocket you move to the bottom of his priorities and get a luke warm pizza!!!

This Imos is terrible … I ordered a pizza at 11 when i got home from work… about an hour later when it never showed up I tried to call and see how much longer it would be and I guess they’re now closed because nobody answered the phone and it’s now been an hour and a half… looks like I’m not getting a pizza tonight, and I will never order from here again!!!

Being in St Louis we wanted to get some authentic St Louis style pizza and toasted ravioli and we were NOT disappointed! IMO’s location was nothing fancy, but that’s how you know it is authentic! We ordered and it came up pretty quickly. We got a medium pizza for the two of us and a had a few pieces as leftovers. Friendly service, clean restaurant and awesome food. Will definitely return when back in St Louis.

This review is for this location in particular as I am generally a fan of Imo’s. If you have a choice in the location you order from, do NOT order from this one. Poor delivery time. Poor accuracy. Poor customer service. One of the worst delivery experiences I’ve had in quite some time.

I’ll start off this review by warning New Yorkers and Chicago folks that this isn’t pizza. It’s St. Louis Pizza, which is a little different than authentic Pizza. If you don’t like it, just move on and save the comments, we’ve heard them all before. St. Louis Pizza is served on a thin, crisp, cracker-like crust. There’s a little tomato sauce, and a decent amount of Provel cheese. Provel cheese is not real cheese, but it has real cheese in the mixture. I’m not sure how to explain it, but the texture is very good for Pizza and it tastes good to me. The toppings are plentiful and the ratio of crust to toppings is heavily in the toppings favor. Imo’s dusts the pizza with some herb mixture — – and that’s a Pizza in St. Louis. I love it, but I grew up in St. Louis. Imo’s is a chain, and the restaurants are all run a little differently. This Imo’s has been there for as long as I can remember — -the mid 70’s at least. They do a good job here. It’s a wonderful thing to go into a pizza joint that still feels like a pizza joint. My one recommendation to people is to get a loaded pizza of some type. Just a cheese pizza or a one-topping pizza doesn’t really have the right taste at Imo’s. I get the Deluxe, which is Sausage, whole strips of bacon, green peppers, onions, mushrooms and cheese. I think this is the best pizza they have. If you are in the Maplewood area, and aren’t fixated on what makes an «authentic» pizza, Imo’s will fit the bill. They also deliver, which is nice if you’re watching the ball game.

What a classic pizza joint. I believe it’s one of their original locations considering I read somewhere on the wall that it’s been here forever. I’m pretty sure this place has regulars, something you don’t often find at pizza places. I think they changed the décor in here never. I was waiting for Ed and Margie Imo to step out and thank us for stopping by. I realize it’s a local chain, but it’s consistently good, and that crazy gooey provel cheese is a local treasure. The word«provel» isn’t even a nationally recognized word. I always eat too much of this stuff due to the fact that the pizzas are so thin and don’t look that filling. They really pile the toppings on though. Full strips of bacon? Uh, don’t mind if I do! One time, I ate lunch here around noon, ate 2⁄3 of a 14 inch pie, and couldn’t even fathom eating dinner that night. 2 meals for the price of one! I know. Cool story, bro.

Having grown up in St. Louis, Imo’s was always a staple at the dinner table. However, you’d think as a franchise all Imo’s would be created equal… not the case. There is a very distinct difference in quality across many Imo’s restaurants. Now it may be that some people just don’t dig provel/thin crust. Fair enough, but for those who claim Imo’s has«gone downhill» or «isn’t what it used to be» I would recommend trying the Maplewood Imo’s. I’ve been to several Imo’s in the area and Maplewood is consistently the best. The pizza is always loaded with toppings and more importantly… CHEESE! The cheese is the best part and there are Imo’s that forget this fact and it really does ruin the experience. The Maplewood Imo’s delivers hot, fresh, delicious pizza and it’s even better if you dine in because you get it right out of the oven. Highly recommended to Imo’s fans who’ve lost the faith!

There are many Imo’s within the City and even further away but this one is my main location. They’re quick and friendly, but most importantly the quality of the pizza is always spot-on. My one complaint is that the quality of the lettuce in their salads can be poor most of the time. But this is something I’ve found at every Imo’s I’ve been to. Sure the pizza’s great and if the lettuce is good the Imo’s deluxe house salad is where it’s at with their house dressing. Don’t count out their sandwiches like the meatball or my favorite, the Special sandwich. If you ask nicely they’ll even serve it hot(toasted).
