A brief history about myself, I started in the medical field in 1991 as an ER/​Trauma technician with a paramedic’s background. I worked in the ER environment on and off for 10 plus years and transferred to med surge working with surgical patients. I worked the medical surgical unit environment for five years. I then transferred to the red-​cross where I worked as a donor coordinator setting up donor sites; I did this for roughly 2years followed by the past five years working for the Department of Veterans Affairs. At the VA I care for vets with issues ranging from amputees, cardiac, diabetic, mentally ill to your more common illnesses. This was a huge thrill to me because being a vet myself serving 24 years in the Army with two years served during ⁹⁄₁₁ I found myself serving our American hero’s. So as you see I have a very deep connection for caring for people, my only issue is that the high stress environment was eating at me and I felt it was time to move on. At this point I felt that
