I really wanted to like this place, but it just seems like low quality food. Flavors are really basic and the egg drop soup just tasted weird. I will say tho, the lady who took my order was very nice, and spoke Chinese, spanish, and English, wow! Prices are also cheap, and you get your food fast. Not somewhere to dine out either.

Best Chicken Lo Mein I’ve ever had! Egg rolls were great too! They were very reasonably priced too! 2 dinners an order of eggrolls and crab rangoon for under $ 20! Definitely will be returning to eat here.

I have ordered take out from China Kitchen a handful of times and I think I am fan! This has become my go-to place when I am in the mood for Chinese food. The inside is small with a few tables, but I think that most people place to-go orders anyways. The food is good, and compared to other Chinese takeout places, it’s pretty cheap, too! Usually I get the small sweet and sour chicken and a small order of chicken with broccoli, and it’s enough for a dinner and a leftover meal. China Kitchen is a little hard to find, but it’s off of South Marietta Pkwy(South 120 Loop) behind Havarti.

I’ve had the Shrimp Chow Mei Fun twice now and its been amazing both times. It was only $ 7.50 and a very generous portion. I got it without the curry but still spicy. It had a great little kick and came with the skinny rice noodles, shrimp, egg, cabbage, broccoli, and carrots. The shrimp egg rolls were great too and only $ 1.20 each. The food tastes really fresh and reminiscent of chinese restaurants in big cities like Chicago or NY. The staff is friendly and can tell you all of the ingredients. Also my order has always been ready within 15 minutes. I say it is a great place to grab some takeout.

Bunch of friends visited a common friend in Marietta and when the time came to eat dinner, he suggested take-out from this restaurant so that we could drink, eat and chit-chat right at his place without spending too much. This is a very small, hole in the wall restaurant with only few tables for seating. While my friend and I was there, we saw so many picking up their take out orders. It’s really more of a take-out place and they seem to be known for it. The food here is ok, neither bad nor spectacular, but very cheap even considering other similar Chinese restaurants. In fact, we were five of us — we ate so full and we still had left overs and it costed us less than $ 25 overall. Service was not bad either, nothing to complain about. You order and pay, they give you food. That’s all there is to it. But seriously, I don’t pay too much attention to service at a take-out place. Overall, if you are living closer and you are craving for some cheap, greasy, take-out Chinese food, this is a good option. 3 star.

The vegetable soup with bean curd is so good! It is one of the best for when you need something light. When you are need something more, the Sesame Tofu is fantastic. I am a vegetarian and this is a great place, inexpensive as well.

Stopped by on a Wednesday night and order to go sesame chicken and Mongolian beef for $ 14. Small portions are big enough to share. Services was fast and taste was excellent. The location is unpretentious and the owners family works there. We will definitely be back.

My fiancé and I love this place! It’s been his go-to for years… I like it on nights when neither of us feels like cooking. Delish and the prices cannot be beat! Love the dumpling soup. Yum!

Chinese take out done well. Don’t expect gourmet authentic. But I’ve lived near China Kitchen for over three years and they are our go-to for Chinese. Never a bad experience and the food is always pleasing.

I just only gave 3 stars to a place I eat at an average of 2 days a week. Seems kinda silly, like the place either should get a higher star rating or I should be trying other places to eat. But I am a creature of habit, and when I walk in, I don’t even have to speak. They just start making my typical lunch. Which sometimes lets me skip the line if they have one. This is a counter service hole in the wall kinda run of the mill Chinese place. But it’s close to the school, extraordinarily cheap, and the food is passably good. In addition, I don’t know how some people had slow service. I am constantly flabbergasted by how quickly they prepare the food. And it’s so freaking cheap. Lunch has come to the same price forever, and for a place I eat frequently it has been the right price. Sure, there’s a fantastic Chinese place nearby, but this place is so much more affordable to eat every day. Seating is ‘limited’, meaning there’s only a few tables, but I’ve never had a problem getting one. They do keep the place pretty clean. Another reviewer commented on the teenage boy server, but he only works there during breaks from school. On weekdays you get a very professional lady who I am reasonably certain speaks at least 4 different languages, and she has always been very friendly. For your $ 5, you get a lunch special that includes an eggroll. There are several good ones. I like the Black Pepper Chicken, the Spicy Garlic Chicken, and the Chicken and Broccoli. But I favor the less fried entrees, or at least my health does. In summary, this is not the kind of place you make a special trip to, but if you’re in the area and need a decent quick fix for not much money, you can’t go wrong! And college students, I believe, still get their drinks for 50 cents.

I have been eating here since grad school in 2007. In fact, one of my classmates turned me on to the place and I often see Southern Polytechnic students there. I have never had a bad experience with the food or the staff. The prices are VERY college student friendly, the food is good, and the service is fast and friendly. In fact, the lady at the counter has an excellent memory and often remembers regulars AND what they typically order. Yes, the interior is pretty basic; but not unbearable. Besides, considering the price of an average meal there, what do you expect? If you want something fancier, you should go somewhere with higher prices. Or, just get your meal to-go like most people who go there.

The interior is a little sketchy. The food is awesome. And cheap! $ 6 for a portion of beef lo mein that can be for lunch and dinner.

Horrible, gelatinous goop; otherwise known as Sesame Chicken. Horrible service(teen age boy) taking orders. Long waits for food. I will never be back.

If you’re a college student on a budget like me, this is the BEST place to go to get some Americanized Chinese food. I usually order off the list of daily specials since it is the best bang for the buck. The portion is pretty good for $ 4.25(including tax, no drink) — it’s enough to fill me up for lunch AND dinner, but then again, I am a small girl who eat in moderation. The employees are friendly and work very fast to get your food to you quickly. The restaurant is geared more to-go, as you receive your food in a take-out box, but you have the option to sit in the dining area. I’m a stickler for liking a nice-looking place, so I would say that the décor can definitely be upgraded.

If you live or work nearby, China Kitchen is a nice little place to get Chinese takeout. Always quick, reliable, cheap, and filling. Good for both lunch and dinner. Not much more I can say about this place, but I’m a fan and have been for several years.
