Wade Landscape & Irrigation

I had a wonderful experience with Wade Lanscaping. Chris designed a beautiful stone stairway for my front/​side yard and repaired my irrigation system that had not worked in 9 years. My yard is beautiful. They are trustworthy, honest, and fair. I love my yard now!

I had a minor problem with a pipe leak — there was a bit of water leaking in my front lawn. Since Wade landscape and irrigation was on Unilocal I looked them up and a few more and called them up to see if they were available.
Chris returned my call and came over. I mentioned to him that I wanted this to be taken care of. He didnt let me know what the cost was going to be and how long it was going to take. This was a small leak which I thought could be fixed easily. 2 hours later he told me that what he just did costed me a bunch. I felt that he took advantage of the fact that he had not clarified the cost with me. He charged my credit card and didnt bother sending me a receipt — which I asked for.
I am not happy with the experience because:
1. He charged me a lot of money for fixing a minor pipe leak — which could have probably been resolve other ways. He also did not set expectations up front on how long it would take and how much it would cost. We spent about 45 minutes to an hour just waiting for things to dry for which I was being charged an arm and a leg
2. After charging me he didnt send me any receipt of the work that was done. I had no understanding about the logic used for the pricing.
He did the job but charged me a bunch taking advantage of the situation I was in. He also did not set any expectations up front.
Not someone I would use again.
