Aaron’s Auto Center & Quick Lube

I am impressed with Aaron’s fast and convenient service. I spoke to Troy and he provided a through explanation of required maintenance and reasoning for that maintenance. When the maintenance was complete Troy showed me the parts that were replaced and there was no doubt that they needed to be replaced. My auto repair knowledge is limited, but I could see nothing to lead me to believe unnecessary maintenance was conducted or that they charged me for more than the actual time of repair.

I had the pleasure of getting my car repaired at Aaron’s Auto Center this morning. Wonderful staff! I live in Chicago and have always been pleasantly surprised at how friendly the folks are in southern Illinois compared to up north, and Aaron’s wasn’t any different! They gave me a free estimate, very knowledgeable! My car is ten years old and needs a handful of repairs, and the staff at Aaron’s were very honest with me as far as which repairs were urgently needed before my drive back to Chicago, and which repairs could wait. One of the urgent repairs was the replacement of an axle, and once I mentioned that an axle had been replaced a year earlier, they went out of their way to check for a warranty on the part, and turns out there was! So I only had to pay for labor, and not the replacement part. We made an appointment for a couple days later, and the repair was completed in an hour while I waited, and didn’t empty my bank account like it would have in Chicago! While I was waiting I was bombarding the poor guys with a million questions about every noise and issue I noticed with my car, and they answered my questions and checked things out for me with a high level of knowledge and patience. I highly recommend them, and I will definitely be back!

To my knowledge I have never been overcharged. I’ve shown my bills to people who know much more about this kind of thing than me and they’ve always been amazed at how low the bill is for the service provided. They have never done any work on the car without calling to make sure it’s ok first. They call, tell me what needs to be done, and the price, and wait for my ok before they do any actual work. I’ve only had to leave it overnight once and that was for a transmission job that I didn’t have an appointment for. They usually get it done within an hour or two of me dropping it off when I have an appointment. They also let me know if there’s anything else going on with the car that may need future attention and they have always been friendly and courteous. I’ve never been judged (at least not to my face) about how little I know about the internal workings of a combustion engine or it’s associated parts. I could go on, but basically they seem exceptionally honest, especially for an auto center, they all seem to have good attitudes, and they seem to get the job done the first time. At least I’ve never had any problems with them and I’ve been taking my car there for almost a year now (4 separate visits to date, one of which was just for an oil change and fluid check).
