Negative stars for Anthony at Absolute air. If you’re a package sale and all is easy, you might have a chance. Do your own research on your products, too.

Unilocalers need to know that:
Things were good till the installation date. Anthony agreed to add a Nest thermostat for the mini-​split on the day instillation and we paid for it. HIs guys installed the mini-​split it so that it is not flush and drilled holes in the wall for the nest wiring.
They then ordered parts which took weeks to come in while all my amazon packages made it in time for Christmas. I call several times. Turns out, when i finally call again in January, magically, my parts have been delivered and we schedule the service.
Another Nest hole is drilled into the wall in a more appropriate location. But wiring for the Nest is not compatible with the unit. The installers agree to return with the right wires and do NOT correct the lopsided wall unit.
Phone call to Anthony confirms that the unit is not compatible with Nest. He will fix the box and refund the money for the Nest.
03-​01-​2016. Actually we were wondering how long it would take him to do what he said he would, but we couldn’t wait any longer. We finally called him and demanded our refund for the Nest that HE SOLD US after the initial contract. The unit is still crooked – out from the wall on one side and not the other.–
This is not good business. This is Anthony too important to make a small thing right. And he certainly has had plenty of time to make things right.

Had a great experience having Absolute Air fix my air conditioning. They were very professional from the time I called to when they came out. My A/​C is now blowing ice cold! I would highly recommend Absolute Air.

Really I would give 3 ½ stars.
Their workers were great and worked hard, however we were a little annoyed that they didn’t ask us where we wanted the unit installed in our crawl space before they stuck it in a pretty inconvenient location (below an electrical conduit and next a water valve which makes servicing those two things more difficult).
Their office leaves something to be desired: they completely forgot about our initial consultation which started them off on a bad note. But they came highly recommended from an architect so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Because of the model we got installed we received a rebate from PG&E, however we needed Absolute Air to complete our paperwork in order to receive it. This took them 8 months! I called about every 2 weeks for several months and when they finally got around to it they had to lie about our install date because PG&E requires the unit be installed within the last 6 months. After spending several thousands of dollars on a new heating system, that rebate makes a difference.
The heating unit was installed about 2 years ago and we’ve had no problems with it. All our rooms are warm and well serviced. They were also pretty flexible about two unfinished rooms that we were renovating at the time. They ran the duct lines there and capped them off for us to finish later. They also let us work on the price by letting us cut the holes in the floor ourselves and do some of the electrical work as well for several hundreds of dollars off the price.

My landlord called Anthony to look at our heater that wasn’t working properly. He came out immediately the next day and had it fixed in less than 30 minutes, plus gave me tips on how to better heat the house quickly. Fabulous customer service, and quick response to phone calls – this company has my vote of confidence!

Mike has serviced our 40+ year old Biltwel twice over the past few years and was on time and professional both times. While others wanted as much as $ 150 just to come out and look at the unit, their cost of $ 79 (at the time of this writing) was much lower. Appointment was 3 business days from time of call, and just before cold snap. Will use this company as long as Mike is the technician.

We called Absolute Air 3 times during a 10 day period, to ask for an estimate for a furnace replacement. Each time we were told that the owner will call us back. We never heard from anyone — ever.

Anthony was great, came out right away to fix my airconditioner but…
I was charged $ 323.00 for a 49.99 part and labor. He was at my house maybe at the most 45 minutes. I think that is excessive. I asked him about the price before I paid and he told me the part was exspensive. After he left I looked it up and the exact model is $ 49.99. I called and left him a message regarding my concerns that I was overcharged and he never called me back. Not smart, now I won’t use him again or refer him.

The absolute air guys were recommended by a awesome concrete foundation guy we love, We are first time homeowners in Oakland and we have learned the hard way that word of mouth is the best way to pick vendors. Well these guys delivered on time and budget and I loved working with them. They are reliable, down to earth guys that I would hire again in a heart beat.
